    Artykuł projekt badawczy o nazwie „Mikroświaty macierzyństwa”. Poszukiwano w nim odpowiedzi na pytanie : ak jest postrzegane przez kobiety macierzyństwo,, aby opisać społeczny mikroświat matek, pokazać potencjał codziennej nauki matek i uwrażliwić ludzi na uniwersalność doświadczenia macierzyństwa (mikroświaty z macierzyństwa). Projekt składał się z trzech etapów: 1) prowadzenie badań empirycznych za pomocą podejścia jakościowego, 2) wystawa fotografii zatytułowaną „Mikroświaty macierzyństwa”, 3) analiza i interpretacja materiału badawczego. Te fazy projektu zostały opisane w artykule.
    The article describes a research project named “Microworlds of motherhood”. The aims of this project were: to explore the experience of motherhood as perceived by women, to describe the social microworlds of mothers, to show the potential of everyday learning for mothers, to sensitise people to the versatility of the motherhood experience (the microworlds of motherhood). The project consisted of three phases: 1) Conducting empirical research using the qualitative approach: research strategies employing (auto)biography and photography; 2) Holding a photography exhibition entitled “Microworlds of motherhood” using the research material; 3) Analysis and interpretation of research material, formulating conclusions and writing the paper. These phases of the project have been described in the article.

    Opis:
    The article focuses on issues concerning the hidden curriculum of physical space where university education is realizing. In the first part I will attempt to describe the hidden curriculum in the context of physical non-didactical space of the university. I will refer to selected authors and studies in this area, and then I will present the examples of mostly English studies that have been conducted in this field. The next part of the article will emphasize the methodological issues. I will start with defining the research problems - setting the questions about the hidden curriculum relating to the organization of selected elements of physical non-didactical space of the university i.e. the entrance to the building, staircases, hallways, halls. Afterwards I will present the selected pattern and method of research - the qualitative research orientation with a reference to the activity of taking photographs in order to gather empirical material. The analysis of visual data will provide me with a base for research conclusions as an attempt to answer the research problems.

    Autorka podejmuje rozważania na temat wymiarów usytuowania badacza w badaniach jakościowych. Wprowadzając do tematu, pokazuje transdyscyplinarny rozwój oraz uwypukla paradygmatyczną różnorodność obecną w wybranym typie badań. W swojej refleksji koncentruje się na trzech wymiarach usytuowania badacza, tj. poznawczym, społecznym i emocjonalnym. Obecność i aktywność podmiotu poznającego w badaniach może przejawiać się bowiem w zdobywaniu wiedzy, nawiązywaniu interakcji społecznych oraz różnym emocjonalnym zaangażowaniu badacza w podejmowane praktyki. Następnie, autorka analizuje wybrane okresy i fazy badań jakościowych pod względem trzech wyróżnionych wymiarów usytuowania badacza.
    The author considers the problems of the position of the researcher in qualitative research. In the introduction, the transdisciplinary development is shown and paradigmatic versatility found in this type of research is highlighted. The considerations are focused on the three dimensions in which the researcher is positioned, i.e. the cognitive, social and emotional dimensions. In the research, the presence and activity of the cognitive subject is expressed through gaining knowledge and taking action. Then, the author analyses chosen periods and phases of qualitative research in the light of the three selected dimensions in the position of the researcher.

    The article discusses the topic of modern maternity entangled in various social discourses. Analysing the photographic project called: Matki (Mothers) of Zorka Project group the writer is trying to depict a picture of maternity present in a selected fragment of public space. It was shown in photographs of women representing various social micro-worlds. The reference to strategies that use photographs as an information carrier about social life allow to reveal educational potential of this medium type. The critical analysis of selected photographical materials provides a chance of penetrating discourses that shape knowledge about maternity in Poland.

    Kondycję współczesnej edukacji akademickiej scharakteryzować można jako „rozdroże tradycji i współczesności”. Postanowiłam przyjrzeć się tej problematycznej sytuacji, w jakiej znajduje się uniwersytet odwołując się do jednej z krytycznych perspektyw – perspektywy ukrytego programu. W swoim projekcie badawczym skoncentruję się na wybranych elementach edukacji akademickiej, tj.: wartości edukacji akademickiej, proces kształcenia akademickiego, przygotowanie praktyczne i zawodowe oraz przygotowanie kadry naukowej. Badania przeprowadzę w wybranym Uniwersytecie w Polsce. Skoncentruję się na następujących źródłach wiedzy o edukacji akademickiej: dokumenty formalne, doświadczenia uczestników edukacji akademickiej (studenci, doktoranci i pracownicy naukowo-dydaktyczni), fizyczna przestrzeń Instytutu Uniwersytetu (dydaktyczna i pozadydaktyczna). Badania przeprowadzę w paradygmacie krytycznym oraz w nurcie badań jakościowych, wykorzystując zaprojektowany na potrzeby pracy model badania ukrytego programu edukacji akademickiej.
    The condition of Polish contemporary higher education could be illustrated as „standing on the crossroads of tradition and modernity”. I decided to study this complex situation of university using one of the critical perspective – the hidden curriculum perspective. In my research project I intend to narrow down the hidden curriculum to the following elements of academic education, which will be studied on the chosen University in Poland: values of highereducation, the process of academic education, professional training and scholars training. I will focus on selected sources of information about the hidden curriculum: formal documents; the experience of the subjects who participate in higher educational process (students, PhD students, academic teachers); the physical space of academic education (didactic base, didactic-related base). I decided to set my research in a critical paradigm and qualitative research using the model of research on the hidden curriculum in higher education.

    Artykuł jest próbą zasygnalizowania możliwych obszarów badania macierzyństwa w perspektywie kobiet podejmujących aktywność naukowo-badawczą. Celem badawczym jest poznanie i opis tych doświadczeń, jak i uwrażliwcie czytelników na problemy aktywnych zawodowo kobiet-matek. Zrealizowane przez autorkę jakościowe badania empiryczne skoncentrowane były na podejściu autobiograficznym. Umożliwia ono włączenie do badań zarówno biografii osób badanych, jak również osobistych doświadczeń badacza stanowiących źródło wiedzy o interesujących go problemach. Autorka, odwołując się do fragmentów narracji badanych kobiet, ukazuje indywidualne doświadczenia kobiet łączących macierzyństwo z pracą zawodową. Badane opisują swoje obowiązki, a także trudności pojawiające się w toku ich realizacji.
    The article is an attempt at signalling possible areas for studying maternity from the perspective of women taking up scientific-research activity. The research aim is to get to know and describe these experiences, as well as to signal the problems of professionally active mothers to readers. The qualitative empirical research conducted by the author was concentrated on an autobiographical approach. It makes it possible to include in the research biographies of the people subject to the research, as well as the personal experience of the researcher that are a source of knowledge on the problems in question. The author, relating to fragments of narrative of the women subjects the individual experiences of women combining maternity and professional activity. The women describe their responsibilities, as well as the difficulties arising in their realisation.

    Artykuł podejmuje refleksję nad współczesnymi jakościowymi praktyki badawczymi, które tworzone są w warunkach autonomii, otwartości i różnorodności poznawczej. Wprowadzona metafora „metodologicznego Hyde Parku” oznacza bowiem swobodne i nieograniczone „wyrażanie i poruszanie się” badacza w toku realizowanych badań, prowadzące do tworzenia kreatywnych projektów badawczych. Urzeczywistnianie tego typu projektów wiąże się z powstawaniem nowych i nierozpoznanych dotąd obszarów uczenia się badacza. Refleksja nad tą aktywnością może koncentrować się na następujących pytaniach: Jakie nowe role pełni współczesny badacz? W jakich sytuacjach, okolicznościach uczy się tych ról? Jaka wiedza, umiejętności i doświadczenie wymagane są do realizacji tych ról? Podejmując próbę odpowiedzi na te pytania, skupiłam się na dwóch zrealizowanych projektach badawczych dotyczących tematyki macierzyństwa. Oba zbudowane są na podejściach inspirowanych sztuką, m.in. przez wzgląd na wykorzystanie etiud filmowych jako narzędzia komunikowania wyników z badań. Ważną orientacją badawczą jest także auto/etnografia performatywna.
    The article attempts to reflect on the contemporary qualitative research practices, which are created in conditions of autonomy, openness and cognitive diversity. The applied metaphor of “the methodological Hyde Park” means a free and unrestricted “expression and movement” of a researcher during their work, that lead to the appearance of creative research projects. Making this type of projects real is connected with the creation of a new and so-far unrecognised learning area of the researcher. The reflection on this activity can focus on the following questions: which new roles are fulfilled by a contemporary researcher? In which situations and circumstances does he learn these roles? Attempting to answer these questions, I concentrated on two conducted research projects about maternity. Both are built on approaches inspired by art, amongst others, due to the use of short films as a tool of communicating research results. An important research orientation is also a performative auto/ethnography.

    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie modelu badań posługujących się sztuką w autorskim projekcie pt. Matki wykluczone społecznie. Cele badań zorientowane są m.in. na: poznanie doświadczeń matek wykluczonych społecznie; pobudzenie autorefleksji badanych kobiet nad ich doświadczeniami macierzyństwa; uwrażliwienie i budowanie krytycznej refleksji uczestników i odbiorców badań związanej z doświadczeniami badanych kobiet. Proponowany model badań przez sztukę przyjmuje formę uczestniczącej, krytycznej i zaangażowanej społecznie praktyki badawczej. W niniejszym tekście omówione zostały kolejne etapy zastosowanego modelu. Specyficzne jest tu włączenie elementów sztuki do procesu badawczego. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań zostaną przygotowane scenariusze dla zaproszonych do projektu aktorek, których zadaniem będzie odegranie kobiet badanych. Sceny te będą sfilmowane, a następnie upublicznione podczas performansu.
    The aim of the article is to present the model of research that uses art in the original project of “Socially excluded mothers”. The goals of the research are oriented, amongst others, for learning about the experiences of socially excluded mothers; prompting self-reflection of the researched women on their maternity experiences and making the research participants and recipients sensitive and building their critical reflection connected with the experiences of the researched women. The suggested model of research through art takes on a form of a participatory, critical and socially engaged research practice. In this text there have been discussed subsequent stages of the applied model. What is specific here is the involvement of art elements in the investigation proccess. On the basis of the conducted research there will be prepared scenarios for the actresses invited to the project, whose task will be to enact the researched women. These scenes will be filmed and then made public during the performance.

    Artykuł podejmuje refleksję na temat wartości poznawczej i metodologicznej praktyk auto/biograficznych, skoncentrowanych na poszukiwaniu związków biografii naukowej i zawodowej. Istotą tych podejść jest włączenie osobistych doświadczeń badacza w tok procesu badawczego. Tym samym perspektywa ta staje się, obok biografii badanych, ważnym źródłem (roz)poznawania światów społecznych. Naturalny kontekst prowadzonych badań sprawia, iż auto/biografia splata się z autoetnografią, ponieważ każde badanie zawsze ma jakiś teren eksplorowany i doświadczany przez badacza. Z drugiej strony, każda „opowieść” ze sfery badawczej, nosiła będzie subiektywne znamiona obecnego w niej badacza. Zatem każde badanie posiada swoją trajektorię, w którą wpisane jest „ja badacza”. Obecność refleksji nad własnym „ja” daje badaczowi nie tylko możliwość ukazania swoich osobistych doświadczeń, ale także podjęcie krytycznej refleksji nad rolą, jaką odgrywają one w realizowanych badaniach. Chodzi o poszukiwanie relacji pomiędzy perspektywą interpretacyjną a autobiografią podmiotu poznającego.
    The writer draws a reflection about the cognitive and methodological value of auto/biographical practices, focused on seeking the links between a scientific and professional biography. The essence of those approaches is the inclusion of researcher’s personal experiences in the course of the research process. Thereby, that perspective becomes an important source of (re)cognising social worlds. The natural context of the conducted research makes auto/biography entangled with auto-etnography, because each research always has a territory which is explored and experienced by the researcher. On the other hand, each „novel” that comes from the research sphere will have subjective marks of the researcher who is present there. Therefore, each research has its own trajectory, where the researcher’s “self” is inscribed. The presence of the reflection over their own “self” gives the researcher not only the possibility of showing their own personal experiences, but also taking on a critical reflection over a role which is played by them in the conducted research. The point is to seek relations between the interpretation perspective and the autobiography of the cognition subject.

    Teaching methodology of social research in pedagogic programmes we have experienced students’ great interest in the possibilities of using photography and photographing practices in the research projects carried out by them. Also the personal interest in photography and the attempts of using it in our research were a reason for us deciding to prepare a project of workshops devoted to the research strategies that use photography. Our aim was to make the most of students’ individual interests and their conscious transfer into the space of research activities. Simultaneously, the suggested classes were also a specific didactic provocation. This article discusses our project, which was carried out in the summer semester of the academic year of 2010/2011.

    Opis:
    W ciągu ostatnich kilkunastu lat można dostrzec swoistego rodzaju poszerzanie się obszaru badań społecznych, które wyraża się w podejmowaniu przez badaczy nowych zadań poznawczych. W badaniach  nad  edukacją  można  dostrzec  m.in.  wyraźne  zainteresowanie  wizualnością,  które  badacze  łączą z (roz)poznawaniem potencjału edukacyjnego codzienności. W takiej perspektywie warto zwrócić uwagę na kulturę popularną, która jest nie tylko wytworem, ale również naturalnym elementem życia codziennego człowieka. Opracowanie to podejmuje kwestie związane z rozumieniem teledysku jako tekstu kulturowego mającego postać narracji, który należy postrzegać jako autonomiczną formę audialno-wizualną. Kolejno zostaje wskazana propozycja badania teledysku muzycznego w badaniach nad edukacją. Próba zrozumienia istoty i (roz)poznania teledysku jako źródła wiedzy zostanie dokonana na podstawie analizy i interpretacji konkretnego materiału wizualnego – dokumentu zastanego, teledysku do utworu The  Last Refugee Rogera Watersa. Całość podejmowanych rozważań jest głosem badaczy-andragogów.
    For the last dozen or so years the area of social research has expanded. This is connected to different cognitive challenges taken up by researchers. As for educational research, we can notice, amongst others, a strong interest in visual aspects of education, that are associated with the (re)cognition of educational potential of everyday life. With this perspective, it is worth having a look at pop culture which is not only a product but also a natural component of everyday reality. This text is an attempt to understand music video as a culture text with a narrative, which should be seen as an independent audio-visual form. A study ona video clip in educational research is proposed. An attempt to understand the nature and to (re)cognizemusic video as a source of knowledge will be made through analysis and interpretation of certain visualmaterials – an existing research document – the video clip to The Last Refugee by Roger Waters. The wholestudy is conducted and discussed from the andragogical perspective.

    Opis:
    Looking at today’s research practices applied in the area of social sciences one can notice a clear interest in biography. Observation of the lives of individuals, (re)cognition of social micro worlds from the perspective of individual biographies and analysis of and searching for meanings of individual life experiences are the subjects of great interest as well as confidence among researchers. It is also noticeable that researchers, with even greater attention and concern, contemplate the methodological legitimacy and correctness of the projects they carry out. This is especially important when there is a necessity to problematize and further specify the methodological identity of the biographical approach. This text is a voice in the discussion about the types and nature of the so-called biographical research conducted in the area of andragogy. Its starting point is viewing the research that uses biography through the lens of the biographical research perspective, which may adopt at least three forms: biographical approach, auto/biographical approach and autobiographical approach. The considerations revolve around reflections about specifying the individual approaches in relation to certain research projects taking into account the specific role/roles played in them by the researcher-andragogue. The text also addresses the topic of understanding the research process from the perspective of the learning process. The reflections are based on the individual experiences of the researchers acquired during the project in which the auto/biographical approach was applied.
    Przyglądając się współczesnym praktykom badawczym realizowanym w obszarze nauk społecznych, można dostrzec wyraźne zainteresowanie biografią. Obserwacja losów jednostek, (roz)poznawanie mikroświatów społecznych z perspektywy indywidualnych biografii, a także analiza i poszukiwanie znaczeń indywidualnych doświadczeń życiowych człowieka cieszy się dużym zainteresowaniem, ale również zaufaniem wśród badaczy. Można także dostrzec, iż badacze z coraz większą uwagą i rozwagą zastanawiają się nad prawomocnością i poprawnością metodologiczną realizowanych przez siebie projektów, co jest szczególnie ważne w sytuacji konieczności problematyzowania i dookreślania tożsamości metodologicznej podejścia biograficznego. Niniejszy tekst jest głosem w dyskusji na temat rodzajów tzw. badań biograficznych realizowanych w obszarze andragogiki oraz ich istoty. Punktem wyjścia jest postrzeganie badań z wykorzystaniem biografii przez pryzmat biograficznej perspektywy badawczej, która przyjmować może przynajmniej trzy formy. Są nimi: podejście biograficzne, podejście auto/biograficzne i podejście autobiograficzne. Osią rozważań staje się refleksja związana z dookreśleniem poszczególnych podejść w odniesieniu do konkretnych projektów badawczych, z uwzględnieniem specyficznej roli/ról, jaką pełni w nich badacz. W tekście zostaje również zasygnalizowany wątek odnoszący się do rozumienia procesu badawczego z perspektywy procesu uczenia się. Źródłem podejmowanych rozważań są indywidualne doświadczenia badaczek, płynące z realizacji projektu, w którym wykorzystano podejście auto/biograficzne.

    Opis:
    Zamierzeniem niniejszego tekstu jest zaprezentowanie założeń teoretycznych i metodologicznych projektu badawczego pt. „Autobiografie matek”. Jego cele koncentrują się na poznaniu wybranych, spisanych przez badane kobiety autobiografii. Równie ważne są także cele o charakterze społecznym, tj. uwrażliwienie na losy (edukacyjne i zawodowe) matek oraz pobudzenie autorefleksji badanych kobiet nad własnym życiem. Zastosowanym podejściem badawczym jest podejście autobiograficzne z wykorzystaniem materiałów wizualnych, w którym badacz występuje w podwójnej roli – podmiotu poznającego oraz poznawanego. Prócz zaprezentowania teoretycznych i metodologicznych założeń projektu, autorka podejmuje próbę krytycznej analizy kolejnych etapów projektu.
    The aim of this text is to present the theoretical and methodological assumptions of the research project entitled „Autobiographies of women as mothers”. Its goal is focused on researching personal autobiographies written by selected women. The social goals are equally important: they include demonstrating the importance of educational and professional experiences of women as mothers and provoking self-reflection concerning life in the researched women. The auto/ biographical approach has been chosen as the research approach and it includes the usage of visual material, in which the researcher plays a double role – of the investigating as well as the investigated subject. Apart from presenting theoretical and methodological foundations of the project, the author attempts to perform critical analysis of the consecutive stages of the project.
