- The author discusses the conservation treatments applied to a carriage of the first half of the 19ith century possessed by general Piotr Szembek. These treatments comprised the replacement of the undercoating of lacquer as well as the reconstruction of interior upholstery, providing the whole with a new coating of lacquer as well as the reconstruction of the rear servant-bench. As the basic documentation for the above reconstruction served the drawing and photographic materials illustrating the analogous vehicles. Owing to conservation treatments the carriage under discussion has been brought back to state of full usability and is now included to the collection of ancient horse-drawn vehicles in the Łańcut Museum.
