Opis:: Key features of the Ukrainian society as an individual political nation have been characterized. The research is based on the election process at the level of the election to the Verkhovna Rada. In the research, data from parliamentary election campaigns held in Ukraine during the 21st century were used. Key markers for estimation of the population’s identity, the problem of language priority, the problem of historic memory, the issue of Ukraine’s unitary formation and its spatial and territorial integrity were determined. The arguments offered and the objective grounds of state integrity worded in the research prove separate, formed and integral nature of the Ukrainian political nation.

Opis:: The article is devoted to important issue of modern regional analysis of Ukraine, i.e. peculiarities of regional development formation. All provincial regions of Ukraine were chosen for this analysis. The aim of the study was to determine trends of regional indicators during the period 2012–2015. The social component of sustainability reflects the quality of life and it is focused on preserving the stability of the social and cultural systems, in particular on reducing the number of destructive conflicts between people. The basis of our study was the method of the Human Development Index rating in 2015, conducted by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine and the Institute of Demography and Social Studies named after M.V. Pukhta, but with a reduction of performance indicators to four groups (comfortable life, prosperity, decent work, education). The results of our grouping allow for developing a number of measures to respond to current trends and adjust them depending on the situation. Areas with consistently high rates of human development dimension should extend its positive experience to other regional areas of Ukraine. A significant list of areas with average dimension of human development confirms the generally known trend that these areas do not conduct systematic improvement policy and optimal use of all components that can affect the standard of living. The list of regions, which are lagging behind includes regions that theoretically exhibit a powerful economic development which is however not reflected on the general welfare of the people in these regions.

Opis:: The article discusses the process of regional natural and recreational systems formation, methodological basis for the creation of them, which is the concept of ecological networks (environmental systems) and regional recreational systems (RRS). Analyzed in the article is the formation of five regional conservation and recreation systems: western, northeastern, central, eastern and southern, with developed environmental and recreational infrastructure. It is considered in the context of a network of national parks (NNP) and the Regional Landscape Parks (RLP) development as multifunctional environmental and recreational areas, the creation of which is directed to meet the growing needs of the population in a natural habitat. The representativeness of Ukrainian landscape areas network of NPP and RLP is reviewed. Their highest density was observed in the Ukrainian Carpathians and zone of broadleaf forests, where one park occurs per 3.4 and 4.9 thousand square kilometers respectively. The density of the NNP is the lowest in forest-steppe, coniferous-broadleaf forest and steppe zones, with one park per 19.10; 18.29; 18.31 thousand square kilometers respectively. The combined development of local recreation and environmental systems causes the creation of eco-stable framework that will ensure the conservation, anthropological and recreational functions of geosystems in Ukraine.
