    Multiculturalism is one of the most important issues discussed in the public forum of the modern western world. This issue is considered in the context of difficulties with the adaptation of the minority groups to the life in democratic societies, which is seen as one of the reasons for modern democratic systems’ crisis. The article attempts to recognize basic contradictions between assumptions of multicultural theories and theoretical foundations of liberal democracies

    Gray identifies modernity as a political trend, which has reached its developed expression in the Enlightenment political project, based on a rational reconstruction of morality, the idea of progress, secularization of politics and applying natural sciences methods to studying politics. The decline of the political Enlightenment, however, effected in some political disasters of the 20th century and left emptiness in the ideological space of western politics. Enlightenment project of a universal civilization demystificate not only premodern conceptions of political order, but also undermine itself and broke main intelectual western traditions. Political postmodernism, which is answer to this situation, inherits also some western conceptions like humanism embodied in emancipations tendencies or universalization of the liberal order. According to Gray’s thought, only radical attempt to theorize without typical western prejudices can be appropriate answer to late modern political and social reality

    MICHAEL OAKESHOTT’S THOUGHT offers theoretical considerations on a wide variety matters and is difficult to interpretation for many reasons. This article tries to present Michael Oakeshott’s conception of political theory, which cannot be understand without recognition of philosophical roots of his thought. The idealistic conception of experience implies that all kinds of knowledge are contextual. According to this notion political theory is arrested and highly limited mode of thinking. Philosophy breaks all limitation of thinking, but political theory is always deep-rooted in some certain paradigms, although it is much more sophisticated and subversive way of considering politics than popular observations.This kind of view of political theory, which is critical for the positivist tendency in political science is also inclined to greater skepticism than philosophical concepts of revival of political theory.

    Artykuł przedstawia narracje polityczno-społeczne Prawa i Sprawiedliwości w kontekście występowania w nich populistycznie rozumianej kategorii ludu. W tekście główne elementy populistycznej koncepcji ludu najpierw zostają zrekonstruowane i poddane analizie krytycznej, a następnie rozpoznane w obszarze retoryki i koncepcji partyjnych przedstawicieli Prawa i Sprawiedliwości.
    The paper presents the political and social narratives of Law and Justice party in the context of the populistically understood concept of people. The paper firstly provides a critical analysis and reconstruction of main elements of the populist concept of the people, that are subsequently recognized in the rhetoric of the Law and Justice representatives and political agenda of this party.

    The purpose of this paper was to specify what is the share of narrowly understood micro-ideology in the political thought of Law and Justice. Embarking on the analysis of the above-stated problem, we first and foremost fixed particular methodological assumption. As a point of departure for our analysis we adopted the conception of the ideological morphology by Michael Freeden. In line with it, we assumed that ideologies are not fully distinct entities but they interact with one another. They are also partly overlapping and thus they share some contiguous points. In accordance with the concept of populism, as worked out within our framework, we focused our attention on the problematics of elites and the people. As conceived of by Law and Justice, elites did not discharge their duties, alienating themselves from the society and caring mainly about their own socio-economic interest. Furthermore, the critique of elites was mainly related to their non-democratic genesis and artificially created putative “super-expertise”.Eventually, we proved that populism may be regarded as one of the phenomena characterizing the political thought of Law and Justice.

    The Meteorite Section was created in 2010 on demand of Polish Fireball Network (PFN) for the meteorite searching and investigation purposes. The main task of the Section is to find the meteorites dropped from bolides registered by the Polish Fireball Network. Each year, the PFN registers several meteorite falls within our country and meteorite strewnfield inspections must be carried out at least for the masses of above 300 g estimated with the PyFN software. Only last year the PFN organized several search campaigns. Two of them are presented in the publication.

    The Polish Fireball Network (PFN) associated in Comets and Meteors Workshop monitors the sky over Poland regularly for 15 years and registers the bright fireballs over the whole country (Olech 2006; Wiśniewski 2017). Every year we observe a few meteorite falls but due to weather conditions some data are not sufficient for proper strewnfield calculations. In the collaboration with the European Fireball Network the whole territory of Poland is monitored almost regardless of the weather. The publication describes the bolide phenomena characterized by distinctive meteorite falls, so the strewnfield indicated here should become the target of further exploration expeditions.

    The Polish Fireball Network (PFN) is a project to monitor regularly the sky over Poland in order to detect bright fireballs. In 2016 the 72 PFN cameras recorded 100 389 meteor events. Using these data and the UFOOrbit software 19 087 trajectories and orbits were calculated. In the following years we are planning intensive modernization of the PFN network including installation of dozens of new digital cameras.
    Polish Fireball Network (PFN) to projekt polegający na regularnym monitorowaniu nieba nad Polską w celu zaobserwowania jasnych meteorów i bolidów. W 2016 roku 72 kamery PFN zarejestrowały 100 389 meteorów. Za pomocą tych danych i oprogramowania UFOOrbit obliczono 19 087 trajektorie i orbity. W kolejnych latach planujemy intensywną modernizację sieci PFN, w tym instalację kilkudziesięciu nowych kamer cyfrowych.

    Since 2010, the Meteorite Section of the Comet and Meteor Workshop (PKiM) has been systematically organizing exploratory expeditions to selected meteorite strewn fields, calculated from bolides registered with the Polish Fireball Network (PFN). Some of the expeditions organized in the period of 2018–2020, after the phenomena PF140118, PF070119, EN050120 and PF310720 are reported. All these phenomena have a common feature, they reach beyond the borders of Poland – either the analysis was developed in cooperation with the European Fireball Network (EN) or the meteorite fall took place abroad. It is clear that meteor phenomena have no boundaries and for positive research results in near-Earth space science a European cooperation is highly recommended. Many meteorites fallen from the bolides registered in the PFN are still in the strewn field waiting to be discovered. The article presents a study of the most important phenomena happened in two last years, and it is also a hint where to look for meteorites in Europe.

    Cosmogenic radionuclides in meteoroids are produced in space in the process of activation. These nuclides have various lifetimes in range from a few days to several hundred thousand years and can therefore be helpful in solving several problems related to the study of meteoroids and their remains, both in space and on the Earth. The simplest application of cosmogenic radionuclide decay in meteorites is to determine the terrestrial age of meteorites, especially those whose fall has not been observed. In this article, we present an additional application of cosmogenic radionuclide measurements, namely for the verification of origin of rocks that show equivocal features and may potentially represent meteorites.

    The Polish Fireball Network (PFN), has been undergoing continuous development. Since then, several large grants have been obtained, which were at least partly used for modernization purposes. In recent years, two more grants have been obtained, which allowed for the expansion and modification of the existing PFN infrastructure. In 2021, the PFN76 Kozienice was modernized, but also the PFN14 Zielona Góra station was reactivated and the new PFN77 Suhora station was launched in 2022. Thanks to these improvements, the tracking of meteoroids entering the Earth Atmosphere above Poland became more accurate, which facilitates the search for meteorites and increases the chances of finding new fresh meteorites in Poland. On the night of May 10, 2021, PFN stations registered an exceptionally slow bolide. The phenomenon named PF100521 Wykrot appeared over central Poland in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship at 21:32 UT and calculations showed that some meteorites may have fallen. This phenomenon was used to conduct a series of analyzes to show how observational uncertainties affect the final results. Two variants of the results are presented in this work.
