- Opis:
- The idea of federalism in Iraq is one of very interesting and controversial question. After operation “Iraqi Freedom” we can see, that Americans prepared transition to democracy in this country. Constitution of Iraq from 2005 concludes, that in Iraq will prepared project of federal state. Iraq is a multicultural and multiethnic state, where are living shia and sunni Arabs, Kurds, Turkomens, Chaldeans and Assyrians. One of key elements of federal system have to be Kurds, who have good experiences in functioning Kurdish autonomy in Iraq aft er 1991. They wanted from years, that Iraq must be the federal state, where two nations: Arabs and Kurds will coexist and govern together in the country. After 2003 we have a few projects federal structure of Iraq. The one – Iraq will be a state of 18 provinces, with strong power in Baghdad. The second – 3 great regions (shia, sunni and Kurds) they will have a more autonomy, but will theoretical in good relations. The third – Iraq would be divided to 4 or 5 regions, where Baghdad will one of the key province and we will see two regions of shia. Now we can only wait, because no one want to make the next step in process of building a federal state in Iraq.
