    Opis:
    The paper presents a novel heuristic procedure (further called the AH Method) to investigate function shape in the direct vicinity of the found optimum solution. The survey is conducted using only the space sampling collected during the optimization process with an evolutionary algorithm. For this purpose the finite model of point-set is considered. The statistical analysis of the sampling quality based upon the coverage of the points in question over the entire attraction region is exploited. The tolerance boundaries of the parameters are determined for the user-specified increase of the objective function value above the found minimum. The presented test-case data prove that the proposed approach is comparable to other optimum neighborhood examination algorithms. Also, the AH Method requires noticeably shorter computational time than its counterparts. This is achieved by a repeated, second use of points from optimization without additional objective function calls, as well as significant repository size reduction during preprocessing.

    Opis:
    Celem artykułu jest zbadanie i przeanalizowanie preferencji studentów w zakresie najczęściej wykorzystywanych środków transportu. W artykule ograniczono się do zbadania preferencji studentów studiujących na terenie Katowic od 18 roku życia. W pierwszej części artykułu opisane zostały środki transportu indywidualnego, transportu zbiorowego oraz alternatywne środki transportu dostępne na terenie Katowic. Następnie zaprezentowano teorię dotyczącą zachowań transportowych przemieszczających się studentów, ich motywacje transportowe oraz czynniki, które wpływają na wybór danych środków transportu podczas podróży na uczelnie, do pracy czy w innych sytuacjach codziennego życia. W celu uzyskania danych potrzebnych do wykonania analizy preferencji transportowych studentów została przeprowadzona internetowa ankieta zawierająca pytania jednokrotnego, jak i wielokrotnego wyboru. Ankieta opublikowana została na forach studenckich uczelni znajdujących się na terenie Katowic, a sam czas trwania ankiety wynosił 2 tygodnie. Ze względu na obecną sytuację epidemiologiczną w Polsce oraz na świecie ankietowanych przed przystąpieniem do ankiety poinformowano, iż pytania zamieszczone w ankiecie dotyczą preferencji oraz zachowań transportowych, które miały miejsce przed 12 marca 2020 roku. Kolejna część artykułu obejmuje analizę wszystkich otrzymanych w ankiecie danych. Wyniki badań zostały przedstawione w formie tabel oraz wykresów, a następnie poddane analizie. W ostatniej części artykułu zawarto wnioski z przeprowadzanych badań oraz analiz.
    The aim of the article is to research and analyze student preferences in terms of the most commonly used means of transport. The article is limited to research on the preferences of students of the Katowice universities, from 18 years of age. The first part of the article describes the means of individual transport, public transport and alternative means of transport available in Katowice. Next, the theory of transport behavior of moving students, their transport motivations and factors influencing the choice of means of transport when travelling to universities, work or other everyday situations is been presented. In order to obtain the data needed to perform the analysis of students transport preferences, an online survey with single and multiple choice questions has been conducted. The survey was published on student social forums of universities located in Katowice for 2 weeks. Due to the current epidemiological situation in Poland and in the world, respondents were informed that questions included in the survey referred to the preferences and transport behaviors of the period before March 12, 2020. The further part of the article is devoted to the analyze all the data gained in the survey. The test results presented in the form of tables and charts have been analyzed in the article as well. The last part of the article draws conclusions of the conducted research and analyzes.
