    Opis:
    The sector of small and medium-sized enterprises is perceived as an extremely important element in all developed economies due to its high development dynamics, effective use of resources, and role in new job creation. It is an object of numerous activities aimed at accelerating its development and growth dynamics. The basis of such activities is compiling a set of criteria allowing to distinguish as precisely as possible small and medium-sized enterprises from among all economic units. The article discusses the definition criteria of SMEs divided into three groups: qualitative, quantitative and mixed criteria, which is supported by examples. The application of all these criteria involves numerous difficulties. Those chosen from among them are analyzed in this article.

    W artykule przedstawiono cechy charakterystyczne wagonów towarowych stosowane do realizacji przewozów towarowych przez przewoźników w transporcie kolejowym w Polsce. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na sposób oznakowania wagonów oraz zasady bezpieczeństwa odnoszące się do ruchu kolejowego. Przedstawiono wady i zalety przewozów kolejowych w aspekcie wybranych towarów. W artykule odniesiono się do elementów gospodarki wagonami w Polsce w latach 1991 do 2017 oraz pokazano dynamikę zmian w zakresie ich użycia do realizacji przewozów. Dane gospodarcze zostały opracowane na podstawie danych GUS w rozbiciu na rodzaje oraz ilości przewiezionych ładunków ogółem.
    The characteristic features of freight wagons used for transporting goods by railway carriers in Poland were presented in this article. Particular attention was paid to the way of marking wagons and safety rules related to rail traffic. The advantages and disadvantages of railway transport in the aspect of selected goods were presented in this work. The article refers to the elements of wagon economy in Poland in 1991 to 2017, and shows the dynamics of changes in their use for transportation. Economic data were prepared on the basis of GUS data broken down by type and amount of transported totally.

    Full Scale Fatigue Test

    Opis:
    This paper presents a general concept of the Full Scale Fatigue Test of the Mi-24 helicopter including the test layout and load distribution, as well as describes the milestones to be achieved. Additionally, some initial work conducted in order to determine both the mass and load distribution in the structure is described. The main goal of the test is to verify the low cycle fatigue life of the helicopter structure (fuselage, tail boom, wings and landing gear). The test will be divided into two main stages at which flight and landing loads will be applied. The authors demonstrate the general test concept, the helicopter’s structure fixture and the arrangement of the hydraulic actuators at both stages in order to achieve representative loads during the test. The proposed concept is based on AFIT’s previous experience in full scale structural testing, available literature and the experience of the test staff.
