Opis:
By analyzing the issue of chaos synchronization, it can be noticed the lack of a general approach, which would enable any type of synchronization to be achieved. Similarly, there is the lack of a unified method for synchronizing both continuous-time and discrete-time systems via a scalar signal. This paper aims to bridge all these gaps by presenting a novel general unified framework to synchronize chaotic (hyperchaotic) systems via a scalar signal. By exploiting nonlinear observer design, the approach enables any type of synchronization defined to date to be achieved for both continuous-time and discrete-time systems. Referring to discrete-time systems, the method assures any type of dead beat synchronization (i.e., exact synchronization in finite time), thus providing additional value to the conceived framework. Finally, the topic of synchronizing special type of systems, such as those characterized by the absence of equilibrium points, is also discussed.

In this research work, a twelve-term novel 5-D hyperchaotic Lorenz system with three quadratic nonlinearities has been derived by adding a feedback control to a ten-term 4-D hyperchaotic Lorenz system (Jia, 2007) with three quadratic nonlinearities. The 4-D hyperchaotic Lorenz system (Jia, 2007) has the Lyapunov exponents L1 = 0.3684,L2 = 0.2174,L3 = 0 and L4 =−12.9513, and the Kaplan-Yorke dimension of this 4-D system is found as DKY =3.0452. The 5-D novel hyperchaotic Lorenz system proposed in this work has the Lyapunov exponents L1 = 0.4195,L2 = 0.2430,L3 = 0.0145,L4 = 0 and L5 = −13.0405, and the Kaplan-Yorke dimension of this 5-D system is found as DKY =4.0159. Thus, the novel 5-D hyperchaotic Lorenz system has a maximal Lyapunov exponent (MLE), which is greater than the maximal Lyapunov exponent (MLE) of the 4-D hyperchaotic Lorenz system. The 5-D novel hyperchaotic Lorenz system has a unique equilibrium point at the origin, which is a saddle-point and hence unstable. Next, an adaptive controller is designed to stabilize the novel 5-D hyperchaotic Lorenz system with unknown system parameters. Moreover, an adaptive controller is designed to achieve global hyperchaos synchronization of the identical novel 5-D hyperchaotic Lorenz systems with unknown system parameters. Finally, an electronic circuit realization of the novel 5-D hyperchaotic Lorenz system using SPICE is described in detail to confirm the feasibility of the theoretical model.

A hyperjerk system is a dynamical system, which is modelled by an nth order ordinary differential equation with n 4 describing the time evolution of a single scalar variable. Equivalently, using a chain of integrators, a hyperjerk system can be modelled as a system of n first order ordinary differential equations with n 4. In this research work, a 4-D novel hyperchaotic hyperjerk system has been proposed, and its qualitative properties have been detailed. The Lyapunov exponents of the novel hyperjerk system are obtained as L1 = 0:1448;L2 = 0:0328;L3 = 0 and L4 = −1:1294. The Kaplan-Yorke dimension of the novel hyperjerk system is obtained as DKY = 3:1573. Next, an adaptive backstepping controller is designed to stabilize the novel hyperjerk chaotic system with three unknown parameters. Moreover, an adaptive backstepping controller is designed to achieve global hyperchaos synchronization of the identical novel hyperjerk systems with three unknown parameters. Finally, an electronic circuit realization of the novel jerk chaotic system using SPICE is presented in detail to confirm the feasibility of the theoretical hyperjerk model.

In this research work, a six-term 3-D novel jerk chaotic system with two hyperbolic sinusoidal nonlinearities has been proposed, and its qualitative properties have been detailed. The Lyapunov exponents of the novel jerk system are obtained as L1 = 0.07765,L2 = 0, and L3 = −0.87912. The Kaplan-Yorke dimension of the novel jerk system is obtained as DKY = 2.08833. A novel 4-D chaotic hyperjerk system with four quadratic nonlinearities is presented in this work. It is interesting that the hyperjerk system has no equilibrium. A chaotic attractor is said to be a hidden attractor when its basin of attraction has no intersection with small neighborhoods of equilibrium points of the system. Thus, our new non-equilibrium hyperjerk system possesses a hidden attractor. Chaos in the system has been observed in phase portraits and verified by positive Lyapunov exponents. Adaptive backstepping controller is designed for the global chaos control of the non-equilibrium hyperjerk system with a hidden attractor. An electronic circuit for realizing the non-equilibrium hyperjerk system is also introduced, which validates the theoretical chaotic model of the hyperjerk system with a hidden chaotic attractor.

Separatory typu Vanner były stosowane głównie do wzbogacania rud takich jak: miedź, ołów, złoto itp.. Konstrukcja tego urządzenia była nietypowa, gdyż był to stół taśmowy, na którym następował rozdział materiału, podobnie jak na klasycznym stole koncentracyjnym. Urządzenie o podobnej konstrukcji jest stosowane do przeróbki węgla kamiennego w wietnamskim przemyśle wydobywczym. Hanoi University of Mining and Geology przeprowadzał wiele testów dla zastosowania tego urządzenia, a w niniejszym artykule zostanie przedstawiona część wyników, jakie uzyskiwano podczas projektowania węzła technologicznego dla węgla płukanego w zakładach Vang Danh i Uong Bi o uziarnieniu 3-20 mm.
Vanner type separators were mainly used to enrich ores such as copper, lead, gold, etc. The construction of this device was atypical, because it was a belt table on which the material was separated like on a classic concentration table. A device of similar construction is used for processing hard coal in the Vietnam’s mining industry. Hanoi University of Mining and Geology has carried out many tests for the use of this device, and this paper presents some of the results obtained during the design of the technological node for the rinsed coal at the Vang Danh and Uong Bi plants with a grain size of 3-20 mm.

Opis:
Rothmannia wittii, which is found in Binh Chau-Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve, Bung Rieng ward, Xuyen Moc District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Vietnam, is a rare species of Rubiaceae family. The present study aimed to determine the phytochemical composition and antimicrobial activity of the ethanolic extract of the R. wittii trunk. A total of 10 compounds were identified by liquid chromatography-mass spectrophotometry (LC-MS), including 1) benzene, 1-(1,5-dimethyl-4- hexenyl)-4-methyl, 2) diphenylsulfone, 3) 6β-hydroxy-10-O-acetylgenipin, 4) cinnamyl-cinnamate, 5) genipin, 6) megastigmatrienone, 7) ethyl p-methoxy-trans-cinnamate, 8) rothalazepane, 9) 1,3,6-trimethylpyrano[2,3-d ]imidazole-2,5(1H,3H)-dione, and 10) shanzhiol. The extract also exhibited an antibacterial activity against six bacterial strains: Bacillus cereus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella enteritidis, as determined via disk diffusion agar method.

Purpose: Determine the state of stress-strain, formation and development cracks, three-layer beam diagrams of load-compression stress, load-tension stress, load-vertical displacement relationships with a change in concrete grade. Design/methodology/approach: This paper presents the results of an ANSYS numerical simulation analysis involving stress-strain state and cracking of the steel fiber concrete layers of three-layer reinforced concrete beams with the upper and lower layers. With a cross-section of 150x300 mm, a total span of 2200 mm and an effective length of 2000 mm, the middle is a normal concrete layer. Under two-point loads, all the beam samples were tested. The research simulated three-layer concrete beams in different layers of beams with a change in concrete grade, and compared with and without the use of steel fibers in layers of concrete beams, including the nonlinearity of the material considered. Findings: A diagram of the formation and development of cracks in three-layer concrete beams has been constructed by the study results, determining the load at which the concrete beams begin to crack, the load at which the concrete beams are damaged. In the middle of three-layer steel fiber reinforced concrete beams, load-compression stress, loadtension stress, load-vertical displacement relationships are established. Study results show that these three-layer concrete beams appear to crack earlier than in other cases in cases 2 and 3, but the beam bearing capacity is damaged at 67 kN, the earliest in case 3. And case 6 at 116 kN is the latest. The effects of case 1 and case 3 are small compared with and without the use of steel fibers in cases, while the effects of case 5 and case 6 are very high. Research limitations/implications: The research focuses only on the change of concrete grade in the layers, but the input parameters affecting three-layer steel fiber concrete beams have not been researched, such as the number of tensile steel bars, tensile steel bar diameter, steel fiber content in concrete, thickness variation in three-layer concrete beam layers, etc. Practical implications: Provides a result of experimental study and ANSYS numerical simulation in multi-layer steel fiber concrete beams. Originality/value: The analysis of multi-layered steel fiber concrete beams using experimental and simulation methods shows that other parameters influencing the beams will continue to analysis the working stages of three-layer beams.

Opis:
Clarifying the genetic background of the drought-tolerance trait is a crucial task that may help to improve plant performance under stress by a genetic engineering approach. dehydration-responsive element-binding protein (dREB) is a transcription factor family which modulates many stress-responsive genes. In this study, we isolated a DrEB homolog gene named ZmDrEBtv from Zea mays var. Tevang-1. Using bioinformatic tools, a number of Indels and SNPs in ZmDrEBtv sequence different from the reference accession were identified. In addition, based on deduced protein sequence similarity, ZmdREBtv was assigned to transcription factor dREB2 class as featured by a conserved dNa binding domain – aP2. The ZmDrEBtv construct under thecontrol of the rd29a promoter was transformed into a drought-sensitive maize plant, K7 line. The transgenic plants were assessed with reference to molecular and phenotypic characteristics related to the drought-tolenrance trait. The results proved that the maize plants carrying ZmDrEBtv gene showed enhanced tolerance and better performance to the water-deficit environment at different stages, compared to the wild-type plants.
