Opis:
The morphology and ontogeny of the trilobite Changaspis elongata based on 216 specimens collected from the Lazizhai section of the Balang Formation (Stage 4, Series 2 of the Cambrian) in Guizhou Province, South China are described. The relatively continuous ontogenetic series reveals morphological changes, and shows that the species has seventeen thoracic segments in the holaspid period, instead of the sixteen as previously suggested. The development of the pygidial segments shows that their number gradually decreases during ontogeny. A new dataset of well-preserved specimens offers a unique opportunity to investigate developmental traits after segment addition is completed. The ontogenetic size progressions for the lengths of cephalon and trunk show overall compliance with Dyar’s rule. As a result of different average growth rates for the lengths of cephalon, trunk and pygidium, the length of the thorax relative to the body shows a gradually increasing trend; however, the cephalon and pygidium follow the opposite trend. Morphometric analysis across fourteen post-embryonic stages reveals growth gradients with increasing values for each thoracic segment from anterior to posterior. The reconstruction of the development traits shows visualization of the changes in relative growth and segmentation for the different body parts. The new dataset and growth gradient of the trunk suggest that the thoracic segment growth dynamics of early Cambrian to Silurian trilobites follow the same general continuous, steady-state growth gradient decreasing from posterior to anterior.

Opis:
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is one of the world’s most important cultivated vegetable. In the traditional cultivation methods, the excessive use of pesticides and fertilizers leads to an imbalance of nutrient elements in the soil, an increase in pests and diseases and a decrease in vegetable quality and yield. In the face of increasingly serious environmental and food problems, organic agriculture is considered to be an effective solution. In this experiment, the effects of organic cultivation patterns on the growth, quality, disease resistance in tomatoes, and the physical and chemical properties of soil were studied by different treatments. The results showed that the application of effective microorganisms (EM) bio-organic fertilizer in the cultivation process can significantly improve the yield, quality, and antioxidant enzyme activity of tomato. The use of straw mulching was found to significantly increase the growth, chlorophyll content, transpiration rate, and soluble sugar content of tomatoes. The application of EM bio-organic fertilizer or straw mulching significantly increased the activity of antioxidant enzyme and the expression of LeCHI gene in tomato leaves and enhanced tomato resistance to diseases. Organic production practices were found to significantly improve the soil.

In this assay, we developed and evaluated a multiplex PCR (mPCR) for its ability in detecting multiple infections of swine simultaneously. Four pairs of primers were used to detect five viruses. Specific primers were designed for classical swine fever virus (CSFV), African swine fever virus (ASFV) and pseudorabies (PRV). A pair of primers was designed prudently for two different types of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus that respectively were porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (HP-PRRSV). The detection limits of the mPCR were 1.09×10⁴, 1.50×10³, 2.10×10³, 1.30×10³ and 8.97×10² copies/reaction for CSFV, ASFV, HP-PRRSV, PRRSV and PRV, respectively. A total of 49 clinical specimens were tested by the mPCR, and the result showed that co-infection by two or three viruses was 51%. In conclusion, the PCR is a useful tool for clinical diagnosis of not only single infections but also mixed infections in swines.

Opis:
The detection of transformer winding deformation caused by short-circuit current is of great significance to the realization of condition based maintenance. Considering the influence of environment and measurement errors, an online deformation detection method is proposed based on the analysis of leakage inductance changes. First, the operation expressions are derived on the basis of the equivalent circuit and the leakage inductance parameters are identified by the partial least squares regression algorithm. Second, the amount of the leakage inductance samples in a detection time window is determined using the Monte Carlo simulation thought, and then the samples in the confidence interval are obtained. Last, a criteria is built by the mean value changes of the leakage inductance samples and the winding deformation is detected. The online detection method considers the random fluctuation characteristics of the leakage inductance samples, adjust the threshold value automatically, and can quantify the change range to assess the severity. Based on the field data, the distribution of the leakage inductance samples is analyzed to obey the normal function approximately. Three deformation experiments are done by different sub-winding connections and the detection results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Opis:
A novel polynitro compound, 2,2’-bis(trinitromethyl)-5,5’-azo- 1,2,3,4-tetrazole, was designed and investigated at the DFT-B3LYP/6-31G(d) level. Its properties, such as electronic structure, IR spectrum, heat of formation, thermodynamic properties and crystal structure, were predicted. This compound is most likely to crystallize in the P21 space group, and the corresponding cell parameters are Z = 2, a = 5.46 Å, b = 9.72 Å, c = 14.05 Å, α = 90°, β = 90°, γ = 90°. In addition, the detonation velocity and pressure were also estimated by using the empirical Kamlet-Jacobs equations, and were predicted to be 8.28 km/s and 31.61 GPa respectively. The oxygen balance of this compound is +13.79%, which indicates that it could serve as an oxidizer. Bond dissociation energy calculations show that the C(13)-N(21)O2 and C(14)-N(30)O2 bonds are the locations of thermal decomposition and that this compounds meets the thermal stability requirements as an exploitable explosive. In this investigation, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate (Tween 60) was used to improve flotation of fine long flame coal. The flotation recovery of long flame coal could be increased when long flame coal was either pretreated or conditioned with Tween 60 in a flotation cell for a period before the addition of collector. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) technique was used to indicate surface properties of long flame coal. The results of FTIR show that there are many oxygen functional groups on the sur-face. Contact angle measurements were used to indicate changes in hydrophobicity of coal surface before and after Tween 60 and/or diesel pretreatments. The results of contact angle measurements show that hydrophobicity of coal can be increased by Tween 60. Tween 60 can also enhance adsorption of diesel on the coal surface, and hence floatability of long flame coal can be further improved. Tween 60 primarily enhances the flotation recovery of low density coal fractions (<1.5 and 1.5-1.8 kg/dm3). However, the increase in flotatation recovery is less significant with an excessive addition of Tween 60.

To reduce the maintenance cost and improve the effectiveness of the maintenance activities in series-parallel systems, a preventive maintenance (PM) decision model for series-parallel systems subject to reliability was developed. This model considered the effect of failure maintenance on PM cycle and the restriction of system reliability in maintenance decision making, thus can help decision-maker to arrange appropriate and effective maintenance activities. Finally, an example was given to validate the proposed model.

In existing literature, imperfect maintenance has been widely studied and many studies treat the effectiveness of imperfect maintenance as a fixed constant. In reality, it is more realistic to regard the maintenance efficiency as a random quantity as it may not be precise value due to the lack of sufficient data and/or the variation from system to system. In this paper, a hybrid imperfect maintenance model with random adjustment-reduction parameters is proposed, and a maintenance policy, namely the sequential preventive maintenance in periodic leisure interval, is studied based on the proposed hybrid random imperfect maintenance model, and the corresponding maintenance strategy is optimized by the genetic algorithm (GA). A numerical example and an example of the fuel injection pump of diesel engines are presented to illustrate the proposed method.
W literaturze, temat konserwacji niepełnej został szeroko zbadany i wiele z opisywanych badań traktuje wydajność konserwacji niepełnej jako wartość stałą. W rzeczywistości jednak wydajność konserwacji należy traktować jako wielkość losową, ponieważ nie można jej dokładnie określić ze względu na brak wystarczających danych i / lub różnice między poszczególnymi systemami. W niniejszej pracy zaproponowano model hybrydowy konserwacji niepełnej łączący pojęcia parametrów losowej korekcji i losowej redukcji wieku. Na podstawie proponowanego modelu hybrydowego losowej konserwacji niepełnej przebadano strategię sekwencyjnej konserwacji zapobiegawczej przeprowadzanej okresowo w czasie wolnym od pracy; omawianą strategię konserwacji zoptymalizowano za pomocą algorytmu genetycznego (GA). Proponowaną metodę zilustrowano przykładem liczbowym oraz omówiono na przykładzie pompy wtryskowej paliwa do silników wysokoprężnych.

Based on the singular structure analysis, the variable separation method is proposed for the Nizhnik-Novikov-Veselov equation to obtain a general functional separation solution containing three arbitrary functions. Choosing these arbitrary functions to be the Jacobi elliptic functions, a diversity of elliptic function solutions may be obtained for the equation of interest. The interaction property of the waves is numerically studied. The long wave limit gives the new type of localized coherent structures.
