    This article aims at a short presentation of particular types of non-commercial and commercial partnerships, as well as presentation of growth opportunities and constraints in the operation of a joint stock company in conditions of market economy with a special emphasis placed on possibilities of developing the model of growth strategy analysis of a joint stock company in comparison with methods of evaluating this strategy described in the literature of the subject hitherto. The choice of a joint stock company as the main object of analysis was determined by specific characteristics of this legal form of a company, which create most favourable conditions for mobilizing all economic mechanisms of a company’s growth.

    The main goal of this article is defining the present state of the process of ownership transformations in Polish state-owned enterprises and progress in this process during the last five years. The main research hypothesis formulated in the article was verified by means of an analysis of data published by the Central Statistical Office concerning the number of state-owned enterprises covered by ownership transformations. The accepted scope of this article encompassed: concepts, objectives and methods of ownership transformation in Polish state-owned enterprises, as well as different issues connected with direct privatization by means of passing state-owned enterprises for use against payment to employee-owned companies.
    Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest określenie bieżącego stanu procesu przekształceń własnościowych polskich przedsiębiorstw państwowych oraz jego przebiegu w ciągu ostatnich pięciu lat. Weryfikacja sformułowanej w opracowaniu głównej hipotezy badawczej została dokonana w oparciu o analizę danych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego dotyczących liczby przedsiębiorstw państwowych objętych procesem przekształceń własnościowych. W kontekście przyjętego zakresu tematycznego przedstawiono pojęcie, cele i metody przekształceń własnościowych polskich przedsiębiorstw państwowych oraz problematykę związaną z prywatyzacją bezpośrednią realizowaną w drodze oddania przedsiębiorstwa państwowego do odpłatnego korzystania spółce pracowniczej.

    Postal services market in Poland has been liberalising for several years. It manifests itself through reduction of reserved area (market which is reserved for the public postal operator) and through increasing of the number of private postal operators. But these changes didn't have a major impact on the transformation of the Polish postal market. This market is regulated by a government appointed body and position of public postal operator – Poczta Polska SA – is protected by law. According to the European Directive opening up the postal market to the competition, by 1 January 2011 Poland must implement new Postal Law. New law will change, among other things, organizational and financial conditions of business activity of Poczta Polska SA. Taking into consideration the fact that the current financial standing of the Polish public postal operator is difficult, it should be underlined that Poczta Polska SA will be forced to take radical restructuring action. The main purpose of this article is to recognize the situation in the postal services market in Poland in the context of its full liberalisation and opening to the competition. The partial goals of this article are as follows: – to give an overview of the postal services market in Poland, – to show prospects of changes of this market in the face of EU Directives implementation, – to present the situation and purpose of Poczta Polska SA in the context of full liberalisation of the postal services market.

    The purpose of this article is to develop the concept of R. C. Higgins sustainable corporate growth to the form applicable under conditions of unstable prices (inflation/deflation) and increasing assets to sale ratio. According to the proposed formulas, the level of sustainable growth rate is not only depending on a level of return on sales, intensity of asset management, capital structure and solutions in the field of net profit distribution, but also on price level changes, assets structure and comparative increasing expenditure on fixed assets.

    Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zmian w zarządzaniu kapitałem obrotowym przedsiębiorstw sekcji transportu i gospodarki magazynowej w Polsce w latach 2013–2018. Tematyka ta została ukazana przez pryzmat zmian w poziomie kapitału obrotowego brutto i netto, zmian cyklu konwersji gotówki i jego składowych oraz wskaźników pozycji kredytowej. Powyższe zagadnienia rodzą szczególne zainteresowanie w obliczu, notowanego w Polsce od ponad trzech lat, wzrostu liczby przedsiębiorstw niewypłacalnych. Tendencja ta jest najbardziej nasilona w odniesieniu do przedsiębiorstw transportowych. W artykule uwaga została zwrócona także na zmiany, jakie miały miejsce w otoczeniu badanej sekcji. Zostały one nakreślone przez pryzmat dynamiki PKB, wartości dodanej brutto transportu i gospodarki magazynowej, liczby przedsiębiorstw oraz obrotów rozważanej sekcji w latach 201–2019, czyli w okresie nasilonego wzrostu dynamiki przedsiębiorstw niewypłacalnych. Postępowanie badawcze obejmowało badania literatury oraz analizę danych statystycznych w wybranych okresach.
    The main aim of this paper is to identify changes in the working capital management of enterprises in the transport and storage sector in Poland in the years 2013–2018. This problem is considered taking into account the level of gross and net working capital, changes in the cash conversion cycle and its components as well as net trade credit position. The above issues are of particular interest due to the increase in the number of insolvent companies in Poland for three years, especially in the case of transport enterprises. The attention was driven at the changes in the environment of the analysed sector — GDP growth, gross value added of transport and warehouse, number of enterprises and sales in this sector in 2017–2019, i.e. during the period of increased growth of insolvent enterprises. The research included literature review and statistical data analysis in selected periods.
