Opis:
The paper introduces a method of mathematical modeling of high scale road traffic networks, where a new special hypermatrix structure is intended to be used. The structure describes the inner-inner, inner-outer and outer-outer relations, and laws of a network area. The research examines the nonlinear equation system. The analysed model can be applied to the testing and planning of large-scale road traffic networks and the regulation of traffic systems. The elaborated model is in state space form, where the states are vehicle densities on a particular lane and the dynamics are described by a nonlinear state constrained positive system. This model can be used directly for simulation and analysis and as a starting point for investigating various control strategies. The stability of the traffic over the network can be analyzed by constructing a linear Lyapunov function and the associated theory. The model points out that in intersection control one must take the traffic density values of both the input and the output sections into account. Generally, the control of any domain has to take the density of input and output sections into consideration.

Opis:
As teachers we have to think about our capability of delivering both „Traditional” and „Future-oriented” content in the language of digital natives. The first requires broad sweeping material conversion and methodological change, while the second calls for additional new content and new thinking. Nowadays, when the digital competence of students far exceeds that of the average adult or even of teachers the most important task is the development of educational materials that are easy to process and work with. If we want to address our students successfully and keep pace with the times we have to rely on the latest information and communication technology and web 2.0 approaches. The forthcoming analysis of the learning styles of students and the information acquisition and teaching styles of instructors aims to increase the effectiveness of the teaching – learning process along with identifying the necessary background criteria. Additional goals include the examination of the most frequently used platforms and methods and the respective correlations both from the vantage point of instructors and students.

Opis:
In the field of logistics packaging, companies have to take decisions on determining the optimal packaging solutions and expenses. The decisions often involve a choice between one-way (disposable) and reusable (returnable) packaging solutions. Even nowadays, in most cases the decisions are made based on traditions and mainly consider the material and investment costs. Although cost is an important factor, it might not be sufficient for finding the optimal solution. Traditional (two-valued) logic is not suitable for modelling this problem, so here the application of a fuzzy approach, because of the metrical aspects, a fuzzy signature approach is considered. In this paper three different fuzzy signatures connected by fuzzy rules modelling the packaging decision are suggested, based on logistics expert opinions, in order to support the decision making process of choosing the right packaging system. Two real life examples are also given, one in the field of customer packaging and one in industrial packaging.
