Opis:
The “Kępa Redłowska” reserve is located in the southern part of Kępa Redłowska. The location of the reserve is quite unique. Its eastern border runs along the coastline of the Baltic Sea, while on the other sides it is surrounded by highly urbanized districts of Gdynia. Its coastal location means that it is exposed to natural factors that operate in the coastal zone, whereas its urban surroundings are a threat to the natural environment through more or less controlled human activity. The landscape of the reserve owes its attractiveness mainly to the cliff coast it encompasses. Diversified geological structure of this area, both in terms of lithology and age, combined with progressive erosion, causes a continuous change in its appearance. It is this part of the reserve that is most exposed to the destructive activity of natural factors, mainly coast erosion as well as aeolian processes. The intensity of these processes is closely related to climate changes over the centuries, e.g. a significant reduction in the number of winters, during which there is ice cover in the shore zone means that cliffs are not protected against erosion by winter storms. A spectacular effect of winter storms in this area was a large landslide in the southern part of the cliff on February 15, 2018. The retreat of cliffs is a common phenomenon, however observations in recent decades clearly indicate its acceleration. The remaining part of the reserve area, not directly connected with the shore zone, is subjected to continuously growing anthropopressure. As mentioned above, the “Kępa Redłowska” reserve is located in Gdynia. The expansion of the Redłowo district has resulted in the housing development being located directly adjacent to the eastern border of the reserve. An additional element of anthropopressure is the creation of interpretive trails and tourist routes within the reserve. On the one hand, this is an attempt to “channel” tourist traffic in this area, on the other hand, it causes an increase in tourist traffic with all the negative phenomena associated with it, mainly for vegetation. Human interference in the reserve began already at the end of the 1930s. At that time, military facilities, such as bunkers and artillery positions, were built there. This process continued uninterrupted until the 1960s. Post-military objects are on the one hand an attraction for tourists, on the other hand they attract the attention of various types of seekers of military remnants who, during their explorations, cause additional damage to the surface of the area and vegetation.

Opis:
The examined area is located in southern Poland on Silesian Upland. According to geomorphologic regionalization, it is southernmost part of Valley of Upper Warta and Prosna Rivers between two cuestas – Upper Jurassic in the east and Upper Triassic in the west. There is northern Upper Silesia Region near spring of Warta River, tributary of Oder River. Some dry, fluvio-denudational valley (trough, dellen) form drainage pattern around Kromołów, which is a district of Zawiercie city. These dellen, which have been formed in periglacial conditions of the Pleistocene, are relict forms very typical for Polish Uplands (Fig. 1, 2). These Pleistocene valleys were rejuvenated during the Holocene. Good example of this type of relief transformation is a small dry valley located near center of the Kromołów. The first-phase of headward erosion reached upper section of the valley in the Subatlantic Large scale of soil erosion is confirmed by thick (about 3 m) series of deposits with fragments of 17-18 c. pottery accumulated in the middle section of the valley. The erosion cut in middle section has a depth of 3-4 meters and a length of almost 800 meters. This accumulation and incision was associated with flash floods which were main morphogenetic factor of transformation of this valley type during the Holocene. A scale of erosion-accumulation processes during catastrophic event was showed by last flash flood in 1996. Few profiles located in this valley, give us information about accumulation during one event. Alluvia (thickness 2.5 m) were deposited in two phases in middle section of the valley (Kromołów KR 4 profile) (Fig. 4, 5, 6). Two sediment members are separated by thin layer with plastic garbage. Lower member consists of sand mixed with detritus and coal. After almost twenty years forms and sediments of these floods are preserved only in the middle section of the eastern valley. Hydro-technical constructions (dam, reservoirs) built in the northern valley only partially protect Kromołów against further flash flood events.

Opis:
The article describes the results of experimental research concerning a prototypical hydrodynamic clutch controlled via changes in flow rates of the working fluid. The aim of the research was to collect experimental data to confirm the practical possibility of using such a control method of the hydrodynamic clutch and to compare this with other currently used methods. A change in flow rate of the working fluid was obtained by increasing the distance between rotors. The experimental research was conducted on a test rig built specifically for this purpose. On the basis of the research, the influence of the clutch filling level, the direction of rotation and the temperature of the working fluid on the clutch torque were determined. The experimental research shows that the transferred torque is significantly influenced by the width of the gap between rotors, the rotational speed of the input shaft, the clutch filling degree and the temperature of the working fluid. Thus, these values may be used to control the torque transferred by the hydrodynamic clutch. The temperature of the working fluid is not recommended as a control value due to the fact that it is dependent on the working conditions of the hydrodynamic clutch. On the basis of the test results, it was proven that hydrodynamic clutches controlled by increasing the distance between rotors can be successfully used, for example, in drive systems of wind farms.
