    W artykule omówiono metodologię wykonywania pomiarów parametrów ruchu pojazdu z wykorzystaniem czujników przyspieszenia. Przedstawiony został sposób kalibracji statycznej czujnika pozwalający m.in. na znaczne ograniczenie błędu wnoszonego do pomiaru wynikającego z niedokładnego zamontowania akcelerometru na obiekcie, którego parametry ruchu są mierzone. Oprócz samego pomiaru trajektorii poruszania się pojazdu, przedstawiono również metodę uzyskiwania informacji na temat głównych parametrów silnika (maksymalny moment i moc) oraz tworzenia ich przebiegów w odniesieniu do prędkości obrotowej.
    In this paper, techniques of vehicle movement parameters measurments using acceleration sensors has been discussed. Author has described a method of acceleration and vehicle speed aquisition and evaluating characteristics of engines torque and power.

    Opis:
    W artykule opisano etapy wykonania interaktywnej symulacji zachowania mechanicznego obiektu dynamicznego na przenośnej platformie z procesorem ARM. Zamierzeniem autora było praktyczne zbadanie przydatności mikrokontrolera do tego typu zastosowań. W przyszłości podobna platforma ma zostać użyta w przenośnym urządzeniu pomiarowym. Pewien etap algorytmu realizowanego przez nie, będzie stanowiło rozwiązanie odwrotnego zagadnienia przewodzenia ciepła.
    The paper describes all stages of interactive simulation imitating behaviour of a mechanical dynamic system. The aim is to prove that such computations can be run on a low cost ARM processor. At first the dynamic system is described with differential equations (Section 2). The simulations were performed using Matlab (Section 3). All parameters of the simulated system were selected. The solution was found using different solvers (ode45, RK2, RK4, Euler) and the most suitable one was chosen for the following stages. The code was rewritten in C language and compiled to ARM machine code. In order to let the user affect the simulations, the platform peripherials were enriched by adding an accelerometer. In the paper one can find all necessary equations, the system trajectories obtained when using different solvers and photos of the working platform. As mentioned before, the simulations include a practical test of the CortexM3 processor that was chosen to build the advanced measurement equipment. In future the machine should be able to solve the inverted heat transfer problem.

    Atypical representations of praxis and language were studied in two forms and combinations: bilateral organization, and right lateralization, independently for each function; when the atypically represented praxis dissociates from typically lateralized language; and when both praxis and language have atypical forms. Direct differences between bilateral and right-lateralized representations were either marginal (for praxis), or nonexistent (for language). Because atypical organization of praxis is over twice as frequent as language in its atypical form, sample size might be an issue only for the latter (as atypical organization of language is very rare). Group averages in their dissociations, and associations in atypical forms, revealed the expected representations of the two functions. These outcomes indicate that merging the two atypical representations of praxis, or language, into one atypical group can reveal the critical aspects of their atypicality, including subcortical contributions, without seriously impeding correct interpretation of the essential underlying neural mechanisms.

    The present study consisted of two experiments. The goal of the first experiment was to establish the just noticeable differences for the fundamental frequency of the vowel /u/ by using the 2AFC method. We obtained the threshold value for 27 cents. This value is larger than the motor reaction values which had been observed in previous experiments (e.g. 9 or 19 cents). The second experiment was intended to provide neurophysiological confirmation of the detection of shifts in a frequency, using event-related potentials (ERPs). We concentrated on the mismatch negativity (MMN) - the component elicited by the change in the pattern of stimuli. Its occurrence is correlated with the discrimination threshold. In our study, MMN was observed for changes greater than 27 cents - shifts of ±50 and 100 cents (effect size - Cohen’s d = 2.259). MMN did not appear for changes of ±10 and 20 cents. The results showed that the values for which motor responses can be observed are indeed lower than those for perceptual thresholds.

    It was suggested that perhaps Mössbauer parameters of troilite could serve as a criterion for an interpretation of the origin of various meteorites. It was found that in three meteorites coming from the same parent body (Baszkówka, Mt. Tazerzait and Songyuan) the angle between the principal axis of the electric field gradient (EFG) and the direction of the magnetic field in troilite is around 60o. Further investigations showed that in some other meteorites, not belonging to this group, this angle is close to 90o.
