Background: Pharmacotherapy, or treatment using medicinal products is one of the therapies used as a treatment method in hospitals. According to estimates, an average hospital in Poland manages ca. 130 thousand medicinal products and these products make second biggest – after salaries – cost intensive element in operation of a hospital. Taking into consideration the need to ensure an adequate patient service level, especially in the field of patient safety regarding pharmacotherapy, medicinal products inventory management is a key area of hospital processes. The aim of the article is to present assumptions of modelling medicinal products inventory management process in hospitals using a methodology based on the BPMN standard concentrated on process efficiency improvement. Methods: The research was conducted in three hospitals in the Wielkopolska Province between January 2015 and December 2015. As part of the applied methodology, process approach was used exploiting complex identification of business roles, activities and events in the analysed processes. The research was concentrated on medicinal products inventory management processes in hospitals. Results: In the article, modelling medicinal products inventory management process using a methodology based on the BPMN standard has been presented and described. The authors present process approach in the analysis of the problem regarding streamlining of inventory management process, with a special focus on real-time access to data concerning: type, location and level of medicinal products inventory. Conclusions: Medicinal products inventory management in a hospital is a complex and multi-layered process, also due to the large number of legal requirements in the field in question. The conducted research proved usefulness of process approach using a methodology based on the BPMN standard in the field of streamlining of medicinal products inventory management process. The authors recognise the necessity of practical verification of obtained results through implementation of recommended changes by hospitals.
Wstęp: Jedną z terapii wykorzystywanych w procesie leczenia w szpitalu jest farmakoterapia, czyli leczenie za pomocą produktów leczniczych. Według danych szacunkowych przeciętny szpital w Polsce zarządza ok. 130 tys. produktów leczniczych, a leki stanowią drugi – po wynagrodzeniach – element kosztochłonny funkcjonowania szpital. Biorąc również aspekt związany z koniecznością zapewnienia odpowiedniego poziomu obsługi pacjenta, a w głównej mierze jego bezpieczeństwa, zwłaszcza na gruncie farmakoterapii, zarządzanie zapasami produktów leczniczych w szpitalu stanowi niezwykle istotny obszar funkcjonowania szpitala. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie założeń modelowania procesu zarządzania zapasami produktów leczniczych w szpitalach z wykorzystaniem metodyki poprawy efektywności procesów opartej o standard BPMN. Metody: Badanie zostało przeprowadzone w trzech szpitalach na terenie woj. wielkopolskiego w okresie od stycznia 2015 do grudnia 2015. W ramach zastosowanej metodyki posłużono się podejściem procesowym, zakładającym kompleksową identyfikację ról biznesowych, czynności i zdarzeń w badanych procesach. Przedmiotem badania były procesy związane z zarządzaniem zapasami produktów leczniczych szpitalach. Wyniki: W artykule opisano sposób modelowania procesu zarządzania zapasami produktów leczniczych w szpitalach z wykorzystaniem metodyki opartej o standard BPMN. Autorzy przedstawiają zastosowanie podejścia procesowego w badaniu problemu związanego z racjonalizacją procesu zarządzania zapasami, ze szczególnym zwróceniem uwagi na możliwość uzyskania dostępu w czasie rzeczywistym do danych na temat: rodzaju, lokalizacji i poziomu produktów leczniczych. Wnioski: Zarządzanie zapasami produktów leczniczych w szpitalu jest procesem złożonym i wielowątkowym, również z uwagi na dużą liczbę regulacji prawnym w przedmiotowym obszarze. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały przydatność podejścia procesowego z wykorzystaniem metodyki opartej o standard BPMN w zakresie racjonalizacji zarządzania zapasami produktów leczniczych. Autorzy dostrzegają konieczność praktycznej weryfikacji uzyskanych danych na drodze implementacji proponowanych zmian przez szpitale.

In this paper the authors present an analysis of the transport process in a selected enterprise. The process map was prepared in accordance with the BPMN 2.0 standard, currently functioning in the firm (map AS IS) and as a target (map TO BE). Then, to simulate the flow of transport orders, we will built analytical models for the mapped processes and introduced parameters for all activities and process events. The effect of changes examined by values of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the mean time order processing and human resources burden in the original model and the target which included the TMS class system implementations.

The aim of the study is to determine motivation of runners from Poland and the Czech Republic in the context of their participation in running competitions. In this study, correlations between age, experience, training period and motives for participation in the competition by comparing the cross-country runners from both countries was researched. The study examined the place of health in the structure of motives. The study involved 847 runners from Poland and 118 from the Czech Republic. The method of a diagnostic survey was carried out using questionnaires. Competition with ourselves, overcoming our own limits, and improving physical fitness are the main motives of runners who participate in running events. Motives related to health are placed in subsequent positions. Polish runners are more sport goal-oriented; this may result from the fact that in the Czech Republic recreational sport is more grounded in culture. Running events are an important element of cross-country passion, since up to nearly 45% of runners from the Czech Republic and more than half from Poland would limit the practice, or stop it, if they did not have eligibility to participate in competitions. Organizers of sports and recreational events involving road running should rather educate runners in the direction of healthy behaviors. They should enrich the content of health education emphasizing the value of active participation and healthy lifestyle over sports rivalry.

Effective health-oriented education in the area of sports and recreation events organization - is not a goal which is easy to achieve. The idea is certainly worthy of attention, since the benefits can be passed on to the organizer, sponsor and the entire society. The purpose of this paper is to present sports and recreation events as a means of promoting physical culture and health-oriented education. Motions, proposals, and preconditions (as described here) of effective educational intervention in the organization of events are based on 15-years-long secret (hidden) participatory observation of 141 different (in terms of their organizational specifics) street runs - both in Poland and in the neighbouring countries - Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Sports and recreation events can become an effective instrument of education for a healthy lifestyle only if they are widely available (easily accessible), if they draw media attention, are popular, cyclical (recurring), have a specific program and atmosphere. The organizers of events in the area of physical recreation should not encourage competition but rather educate for regular participation in health-oriented training, while active participation in sports and recreation event might fit in the pre-planned health capacity control. For sports and recreation events to become a carrier of socially desirable values such as health or healthy lifestyle, promoters should intentionally put emphasis on these values and place them above commercial or marketing strategies of sponsors.

he development of various forms of cooperation. Particular attention has been devoted to the recognition and presentation of institutional forms of cooperation in emerging metropolitan functional areas. The results of a research in the development of forms of cohesion in the Poznań agglomeration are shown in the context of the current European territorially oriented development policy that emphasizes supporting the development of functional areas. Special attention is paid to the policyto deal with the challenges arising from increasing functional connections in metropolitan areas. Current activities in the Polish emerging functional metropolitan areas are discussed in light of the currently emerging Polish territorial based policy. The paper draws special attention to the strengthening of cooperation between local authorities and cooperation with other sectors of the functional areas with special emphasis on metropolitan areas. The result of the research presented in the paper is the proposal to build a model of cohesion in metropolitan areas. The model takes into account the recommendations of European and Polish policy, the changing national legislative framework and local conditions and experience.
Artykuł analizuje doświadczenia jednostek samorządu terytorialnego aglomeracji poznańskiej w rozwijaniu różnych form kooperacji. Szczególna uwaga została poświęcona rozpoznaniu i zaprezentowaniu instytucjonalnych form współdziałania na tworzących się metropolitalnych obszarach funkcjonalnych. Badania dotyczące rozwoju form spójności w aglomeracji poznańskiej przedstawiono na tle aktualnej europejskiej polityki ukierunkowanej terytorialnie, kładącej nacisk na wspieranie rozwoju obszarów funkcjonalnych. Specjalna wagę przykłada się w tej polityce do rozwiązywania wyzwań wynikających z narastania powiązań funkcjonalnych na obszarach metropolitalnych. Aktualne działania podejmowane w kształtujących się funkcjonalnych polskich obszarach metropolitalnych są omawiane także w świetle powstającej obecnie polskiej polityki ukierunkowanej terytorialnie. Szczególną uwagę poświęca ona wzmacnianiu współpracy międzysamorządowej oraz kooperacji z innymi sektorami na obszarach funkcjonalnych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem obszarów o charakterze metropolitalnym. Efektem badań prezentowanych w artykule jest propozycja modelu budowania spójności w obszarach metropolitalnych. Model uwzględnia zalecenia polityki europejskiej, polskiej i zmieniające się krajowe ramy legislacyjne oraz uwarunkowania i doświadczenia lokalne.

The issue of health is present in almost all spheres of life of contemporary man, pervades human life, is in the media, family, peer, in the school and other institutions. Presentation a healthy lifestyle as a universal value determines health and high level of quality of life and attempt to define its position in educational space was the main objective of this study. It seems that a small emphasis is put on a healthy lifestyle, understood as a value, it is not only the carrier of values, but is an autotelic value as well. Interdisciplinary qualified educators – leaders are needed to take a difficult task education to educate for the value of health. School should not be a place of marketing campaigns, with superficial information about health; ought to be a healthy environment, responsible, consciously creates and promotes a healthy lifestyle of the whole school community
Problematyka zdrowia jest obecna niemal we wszystkich obszarach życia współczesnego człowieka, przenika ludzkie życie, występuje w przestrzeni mediów, w środowisku rodzinnym, rówieśniczym, szkolnym i innych instytucji. Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie zdrowego stylu życia jako uniwersalnej wartości warunkującej zdrowie i wysoką jakość życia oraz próba określenia jej pozycji w przestrzeni edukacyjnej. Wydaje się, że niewielki nacisk kładzie się na zdrowy styl życia rozumiany jako wartość, a przecież jest on nie tylko nośnikiem wartości, ale stanowi też wartość autoteliczną. Potrzebni są interdyscyplinarnie wykwalifikowani liderzy i edukatorzy, którzy podejmą się trudnego zadania, jakim jest wychowanie do wartości zdrowia. Szkoła nie może być miejscem prowadzenia kampanii marketingowych z powierzchowną informacją o zdrowiu, ale powinna być środowiskiem zdrowym, odpowiedzialnie i świadomie kreującym oraz wspierającym zdrowy styl życia całej społeczności szkolnej.

Health education implemented in schools has always been pro-healthy medium value in spite evolving too slow as increasingly rapid socio-cultural transformations. Health is wealth in rich legacy of theory of physical education, but does not occur in a visible dimension of the school practice. Presenting problems associated with health education implementation in the school physical education was the main object of the research. School health education as a part of physical education as a result of recent educational reform plays a significant role as never before in history, but this role is still not fully conscious to the pupils, parents and teachers. The scientific study highlighted the need for changes in the training of physical education and need to support teachers the appropriate motivational training system.
Wychowanie fizyczne realizowane w szkołach, choć nie nadąża za coraz szybszymi przeobrażeniami społeczno-kulturowymi, zawsze było nośnikiem wartości prozdrowotnych. Kategoria zdrowia istnieje w dużym zakresie w bogatym dorobku teorii wychowania fizycznego, natomiast nie występuje w zauważalnym wymiarze praktyki szkolnej. Celem pracy było ukazanie problemów związanych z realizacją edukacji zdrowotnej w ramach szkolnego wychowania fizycznego. W wyniku ostatniej reformy oświatowej edukacja zdrowotna w ramach wychowania fi zycznego zajmuje znaczące miejsce jak nigdy wcześniej w szkolnictwie, czego jednak wciąż nie do końca uświadamiają sobie uczniowie, rodzice i nauczyciele. W pracy zwrócono uwagę na konieczność zmian w kształceniu kadr kultury fizycznej i wsparcia nauczycieli odpowiednim motywacyjnym systemem doskonalenia zawodowego.
