    This paper presents a study of the relationship between detonation velocities, D, and relative explosive strength (RS) of fortifed W/O emulsion explosives, on the one hand, and the grain size and quality of the demilitarized TNT used for this fortifcation, on the other. It has been found that demilitarized TNT having a grain size below 400 μm could give acceptable results both in terms of initiation and detonation velocity and the RS values. Demilitarized TNT, however, is not a reliable sensitizer even in a micronized state, and therefore using TNT necessitates simultaneous sensitizing of the fnal W/O explosive with microballoons and it has no signifcantly better infuence on the performance of the resulting explosives. The small-scale cook-off test of such a W/O mixture fortifed by 50% by wt. of TNT has shown that such a mixture is a relatively safe explosive.

    Positronium formation in Au films was studied using a magnetically guided continuous slow positron beam with variable energy. Black Au film with porous morphology was compared with conventional smooth Au film. In the smooth Au film positronium is formed on the film surface only. The black Au film exhibits porous sub-surface region containing micro-cavities interconnected with surface. Positronium is formed on inner surfaces of micro-cavities in the sub-surface region and travels through interconnected cavities towards the surface. 3-γ annihilation of ortho-positronium leaves a clear signature in two-dimensional coincidence Doppler broadening spectra. Measures of 3-γ annihilation contribution calculated from single γ-ray and coincidence Doppler broadening spectra were calculated and compared.

    Opis:
    The information about the workload on individual muscles in the course of a specific physical activity is essential for targeted prevention, early diagnosis and suitable therapy concerning their overloading and injury. The aim of this study is to evaluate temperature changes in particular skin areas in the course of front crawl swimming, caused by muscle work. Methods: Thermograms were taken of 13 students of Defense University immediately and 15 minutes after swimming 1,000 m focused on 20 regions of the skin over the selected agonists and synergists in upper extremities and body. FLUKE TiR infrared hand camera was used. Results: The results indicated the significant increase in the relative temperatures in the areas of agonists of swimmers’ movement – triceps brachii: from 0.952 to 0.997 of normalized units (nu) on the right and from 0.955 to 0.986 nu on the left. At the same time, the temperature of the muscles participating in lifting the arms above the water surface and stretching them forward – deltoids – increased as well (rear part: from 1.002 to 1.015 nu on the right and from 1.002 to 1.014 nu on the left, sides: from 1.008 to 1.023 nu on the right and from 1.011 to 1.023 nu on the left). Conclusions: In conclusion, the order of the other agonists is as follows: biceps brachii, pectoralis major muscle, and latissimus dorsi. This study provides the options for objective assessment of workload on specific muscles or muscle groups during front crawl swimming.

    Opis:
    We study spectral properties of a quantum dot attached to two superconductors with nonzero phase difference. The system is described as a single-impurity Anderson model coupled to BCS superconducting leads. We utilize diagrammatic perturbation expansion in the Coulomb interaction to capture relevant physical phenomena, particularly the effect of the Coulomb interaction on the Andreev bound states present in the electronic spectrum. Results of the Hartree-Fock and the random phase approximations at zero temperature are presented.

    Opis:
    There is a significant number of railway networks within many Middle- and East-European countries operated only by regional lines, usually with a great difference between travel demand and transportation offer. This difference is reflected in the whole economic balance of the lines of the service there, resulting as an essential input for the assessment of rail system efficiency. This paper is the conclusion of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), Faculty of Transportation Sciences research and development project (further as the Project), which aims to analyse the current status and potential of the regional railway network in the country. The paper presents the characteristics of that segment of Czech railway network from the perspective of all scopes evaluated within the Project. A general multi-branch categorization of regional lines is proposed, arising from their technical and economical parameters, and potential for travelling.
    Das Eisenbahnnetz der Länder vor allem im Mittel- und Osteuropa weist einen großen Anteil der Eisenbahnstrecken auf, die nur der Verkehrsbedienung von dem lokalen Charakter mit einem oft abgründigen Unterschied zwischen der Beförderungsnachfrage und dem Verkehrsangebot dienen. Dieser Unterschied beeinflusst das Wirtschaftsresultat dieser Strecken, resp. des auf ihnen betriebenen Verkehrs, und stellt somit eine wesentliche Eingabe für die Bewertung der Effektivität des ganzen Eisenbahnsystems dar. Der Artikel ist eine Zusammenfassung eines Forschungsvorhabens, das an der Verkehrsfakultät der CVUT in Prag ausgeführt wurde und das sich als Ziel setzte, den bestehenden Zustand und das Potenzial des Eisenbahnnetzes von regionaler Bedeutung auf dem Gebiet der Tschechischen Republik allseitig zu analysieren. Der Artikel beschreibt die für die Analyse der wirtschaftlichen Bilanz und für die Analyse des Beförderungspotenzials benutzten Methoden und die Multikriterienbewertung der technischen Parameter der besagten Strecken. Weiter legt der Artikel die Charakteristiken des erwähnten Segments des tschechischen Eisenbahnnetzes in allen geforschten Bereichen vor. In seinem Schlussteil schlägt der Artikel eine gesamte Kategorisierung eines Streckenabschnittes von regionaler Bedeutung in Gruppen laut seinen technisch-ökonomischen Parametern und seinem Potenzial der Beförderungsnachfrage vor.

    Opis:
    Public transport priority is still a big issue in many cities. Priority measures for street public transport are the key tool to increasing the attractiveness and reliability of public transport systems. This paper contributes to this problem by introducing a detailed analysis of street public transport vehicle ride on urban roads. The ride will be divided into segments with a definition of the potential reason for possible delays. This view is the first step for a future objective decision-making tool for assessing the quality of operation of public transport on a defined urban road section.
    La préférence dans le domaine du transport public est encore un grand sujet dans beaucoup de villes. Les mesures de préférence qui concernent le transport public urbain représentent l´instrument primordial pour réussir à avoir un système du transport public plus attractif et plus sûr. Cet écrit contribue à trouver la solution du problème en présentant une analyse détaillée de la circulation/ du trajet les véhicules du transport public en voies urbaines. Le trajet des bus sera décomposé en éléments avec la définition des raisons potentielles qui peuvent causer un retard du bus. Ce point de vue est le premier pas pour établir un instrument décisif à prendre à fin d´augmenter la qualité de la circulation du transport public.

    Przeprowadzono badania nad zakiszaniem lucerny, koniczyny, porostu łąkowego, CCM i prasowanych wysłodków buraczanych w rękawach (tubach) z polietylenu o wymiarach: średnica 2,5 m, długość 60 m, grubość folii 0,21 - 0,24 mm. Do napełniania rękawów zastosowano prasy ROTO-PRESS i AG-BAG International Ltd. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że wyprodukowane kiszonki były dobrej i bardzo dobrej jakości. Cechowały się dużą zawartością kwasu mlekowego i brakiem kwasu masłowego oraz wysoką koncentracją składników pokarmowych.
    Green lucerne, clover, grass, maize, CCM and pressed sugar-beet pulp were ensiled into polyethylene tubes of 2.5 m dimeter, 60 m length and 0.21 - 0.24 mm foil thickness. The tubes were filled using ROTO-PRESS and AG-BAG International Ltd. machines. The experimental silages were of good and very good quality according to Fieg-Zimmer scale. All ensiled forages were characterized by high lactic acid concentration at no butyric acid at all and high contents of the nutrients in dry matter.

    Opis:
    A sensing system utilizing a standard optical fiber as a distributed sensor for the detection and localization of mechanical vibrations is presented. Vibrations can be caused by various external factors, like moving people, cars, trains, and other objects producing mechanical vibrations that are sensed by a fiber. In our laboratory we have designed a sensing system based on the Φ-OTDR (phase sensitive Optical Time Domain Reflectometry) using an extremely narrow laser and EDFAs.

    The overall objective of the IDEAS project is to develop advanced packaging for power supply components and new generation memory systems applicable to Electric and ICE propelled vehicles, with paying attention to considering also the aspects that have not been addressed yet in the running ENIAC and ARTEMIS Automotive projects. A major challenge related to electronic devices in the automotive applications is the reliability of power supply systems which must be capable to assure the functionality of subsystems in all operating conditions, inclusive of ageing. The control systems, which rely on multicore microcontrollers and complex software architectures, require increasingly stringent constraints from the memory devices which need to be designed for very high bandwidth, speed and reliability. In the following thesis, a few aspects of the IDEAS project will be presented: a review of important factors that affect the reliability and life-cycle endurance of NAND flash memories, multispeed gear application in electric drives and its influence on the energy efficiency. The problem of electromagnetic compatibility of electronic devices will also be dealt with in the paper
