Opis:
This paper presents the modeling, control and simulation of an electric vehicle with four in-wheel 15 kw induction motors drive 4WDEV controlled by a direct torque control DTC strategy, where two control techniques are presented and compared for controlling the electric vehicle speed: the first one is based on a classical PI controller while the second one is based on a fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The aim is to evaluate the impact of the proposed FLC controller on the efficiency of the 4WDEV taking into account vehicle dynamics performances, autonomy and battery power consumption. When the classical controller can’t ensure the electric vehicle stability in several road topology situations. To show the efficiency of the proposed new control technique on the traction system by 4WDEV. The vehicle has been tested in different road constraints: straight road, sloping road and curved road to the right and left using the Matlab / Simulink environment. The analysis and comparison of the simulation results of FLC and PI controllers clearly show that the FLC ensures better performances and gives a good response without overshoot, zero steady state error and high load robustness rejection, compared to the PI controller which is present an overshoot equal 7.3980% and a rise time quite important (0.2157 s with PI controller and 0.1153 s with FLC). As well as the vehicle range has been increased by about 10.82 m throughout the driving cycle and that the energy consumption of the battery has been reduced by about 1.17% with FLC.

Opis:
Introduction and objective. Hyperlipidemia is considered as a serious communal problem in developed countries, caused by an excess level of cholesterol in blood circulation. It leads to chronic illness and even death in human beings. As the currently available drugs cause unexpected side-effect, the aim of this study is to concentrate on naturally occurring flavonoids which can potentially provide defensive and therapeutic effects in atherosclerosis diseases, and investigate the hypolipidemic effect of rutin on Triton WR-1339 triggered hyperlipidemia in a rat blood sample. Materials and method. Rats were randomly prearranged into five different groups of five rats each. Group-I was the non-disease control and administered normal saline. Group-II was the atherogenic control, administered Triton WR 1339 (200 mg/kg BW). Group-III was standard and received Atorvastatin. The last two groups (IV, V) were tested (I&II) by administering administered Rutin (40 mg/kg, 80 mg/kg) orally. The test material (I&II) and the standard drug were administered for seven days. After the last dose, blood samples were collected and the lipid levels estimated in the blood samples. Results. Rats treated with rutin flavonoid at a dose of 40 mg/kg & 80mg/kg exhibited a reduction in Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) and Very Low Density Lipoprotein (VLDL). Rutin also increases the High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), compared with control rats. Rutin treated rats exhibited dose-dependent hypolipidemic activity. The protection percentage of rutin against hyperlipidemia was observed as 41.89%, 55.57% whereas the atorvastatin treated group protection was observed at 60.63%. Conclusions. The results of the study revealed that rutin showed a significant hypolipidemic effectiveness on Triton WR- 1339 induced hyperlipidemia in rats.

Opis:
Seasonal studies on size-fractionated phytoplankton productivity (biomass and primary production), marker pigments, and species composition and abundance were carried out in the Cochin estuary (CE), located on the southwest coast of India, to identify the critical environmental factors that control the consistent preponderance of diatoms. The overall results of the study showed a significant contribution of small-sized phytoplankton, specifically nanophytoplankton (2—20 μm), to the total chlorophyll a and primary production in the estuary, regardless of seasons. Diatoms constituted the major phytoplankton taxa, showed an exceptional seasonal scale increase in numerical abundance during the post-southwest monsoon. The relative increase in fucoxanthin (biomarker of diatoms) over other marker pigments substantiated the numerical dominance of diatoms throughout the sampling periods. This is the first study in the CE in which phytoplankton marker pigments have been detected and elucidated the seasonality of functional groups based on HPLC/chemotaxonomy analytical approaches. The prevalence of high DiatDP and diatom chlorophyll a equivalent (estimated by CHEMTAX), further confirmed the preponderance of diatoms in the CE, despite the intermittent dominance of cyanophytes and cryptophytes (monsoon period). The consistent increase in SPM levels (> 25 mg L—1), established at all sampling stations, indicated that the water column turbidity might be one of the significant environmental factors hindering the growth of large-sized phytoplankton (ca. >20 μm) in the CE even if the system invariably holds high inorganic nutrients, irrespective of seasons
