    Opis:
    The subject of this work is to identify and juxtapose solutions implemented in transport provided by water trams for the following cities: Gdansk, Bydgoszcz and Krakow. As a result of the conducted analysis of transport factors, the degree of conformity of project objectives to the actual role of the water tram has been determined. It was found that the Krakow Water Tram (also known as Cracow Water Tram) is characterized by the greatest degree of conformity with project objectives. The solutions adopted in the project can be used to develop organizational and functional standards for this type of transport in Poland, since the lack of system solutions and little experience in implementation of water trams resulted in different organizational and technical approaches in their functioning.

    Opis:
    The subject of this paper is the analysis and evaluation of the reasons for construction costs increases in urban regeneration projects. The analysis considers major refurbishments of real estates’, as well as heavy repair and modernization of the road system. For the period mentioned, the costs from works and expenditure schedules were compared with the costs of additional works, which shows the percentage cost increase in relation to initial project budget assumptions of the case study. The analysis revealed that due to difficulties in assessing technical state of inhabited buildings, the investor and potential contractor should pay special attention to the character of issues presented in this paper, taking into account an increased risk of their occurrence.

    Problematyka BIM (Building Information Modeling) jest obecnie tematem wielu publikacji naukowych, ale także przedmiotem działań podejmowanych przez uczestników szeroko pojętego procesu budowlanego. Liczne zalety i szanse płynące ze stosowania technologii BIM w kolejnych etapach cyklu życia obiektu budowlanego, należy rozpatrywać z punktu widzenia inwestora/zamawiającego, architekta, projektanta konstrukcji i instalacji, dewelopera, inżyniera, wykonawcy, kierownika kontraktu i zarządcy obiektu m.in. w aspekcie podejmowania racjonalnych i efektywnych decyzji. Istotnym elementem każdej inwestycji jest właściwe określenie jej kosztu, czasu realizacji i zakresu. W artykule rozpatruje się te zagadnienia w kontekście zastosowania BIM. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zakresu i stanu implementacji BIM w firmach budowlanych działających na terenie Polski.
    The issue of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is currently the subject of many scientific publications. Numerous opportunities flowing from the application of BIM at the stage of preparation, implementation, operation and management of facility construction, should be considered in terms of making effective decisions in successive stages in the building life cycle. The aim of the article is to present the BIM as a tool to support the management process of the construction project investment, analyzed from the point of view of the investor/purchaser, architect, construction and installation designer, developer, engineer, contractor, contract manager and facility manager.

    The essential characteristics of a construction investment project include, but are not limited to: individual, comprehensive, specialized, complex and multi-step nature of activities, significant time constraints, demand for different qualifications and resources (material, financial). The above characteristics are a potential source of risk, which makes it necessary to accurately describe the mutual relations of entities involved in the project – primarily in the scope of the content of a construction work contract. Its task is to settle the commitments of the parties, their rights and obligations, and the responsibility for actions taken at the stage of preparation and implementation of the investment, in order to ensure its safe and non-conflicting realization. Signing a construction work contract results in the assumption of specific responsibilities by each party. In practice there are numerous examples of contractual clauses, which constitute a gross violation of the safety and balance of the parties in the area of fair and even distribution of potential risk. Most often two groups of contractual provisions are observed in the content of works contracts. The first one contains an unreasonable limitation of the contractor's entitlements, the other includes the irrational extension of the contractor's obligations and the transfer of numerous consequences of potential risks. The incorrect, i.e. unequal division of risk and its consequences is the most common cause of disputes between parties to a construction work contract. The paper presents the issue of asymmetry in the allocation of risks and limitations in shaping the contents of the public procurement contract, in terms of the safety of parties to construction work contracts.
