    Opis:
    The Polish Geological Institute has been carrying out the tasks of the geological survey since its establishment in 1919. Hydrogeology was present from the very beginning and the groundwater monitoring became the systematic activity in the 2nd fifty years of the Institute’s life. Groundwater quantity monitoring expressed as measurements of groundwater table fluctuations was put into practice in 1972, while the groundwater quality monitoring that includes determination of chemical composition of water started in 1991. Both types of monitoring cover the entire area of Poland. Systematic hydrogeological observations and tests are one of the most important tasks carried out by hydrogeologists of the Polish Geological Institute. Results of these observations are used for many studies, analyses and forecasts carried out as part of the tasks of the hydrogeological survey, often in cooperation with universities and geological enterprises, for the needs of governmental and local administration and for reporting to the EU structures.

    Purpose: The principal aim of the article is to present changes in the accessibility of regional products understood as introducing them into trade formats in which they have not previously been present. The article will also present the characteristics of the petrol station sector in Poland. Design/methodology/approach: The article will present the results of own research in terms of perception and assessment of marketing innovations by station customers. The study was carried out using the CAWI internet interview technique on a nationwide, representative sample of adult Poles. Findings: The research shows that Poles are eager to buy regional products and look for them in places where they have never been available before (petrol stations). Practical implications: This article concerns the case study of PKN ORLEN petrol station network. It can be assumed that the remaining operators of the station networks will introduce regional products to the offer shortly as the regional goods are being chosen increasingly and desired by customers of petrol stations in Poland. Originality/value: The article deals with the problem of selling products at petrol stations, i.e. in a trade format that is not sufficiently described in the literature. The authors see a research gap in this field.

    The aim of the study is to determine the antioxidant activity and influence of Allium ursinum L. leaf extract on physicochemical and electrical properties of erythrocytes in order to help clarify its capacity to alleviate oxidative stress. The phenolic compounds were isolated from the leaves of bear garlic. The composition of the extract is well documented and was earlier analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by UPLC methods. The impact of the extract constituents on the erythrocyte membrane properties was determined on the basis of its osmotic fragility, fluidity, organization of the hydrophilic area and transmembrane potential with spectrophotometric and fluorimetric methods. Furthermore, the effect of the extract on the level of membrane lipid oxidation and also on the extent of hemolysis of erythrocytes subjected to oxidation induced by AAPH compound was determined. The study showed that the extract at 40 µg/mL lowers the level of erythrocyte hemolysis caused by 76.8% oxidation. In addition, the extract protects lipid membranes against hemolysis better than ascorbic acid. The extract, in examined range of concentrations, did not induce hemolysis of erythrocytes, caused small decrease in their electric potential and osmotic fragility, and increased disorder of the polar heads of membrane lipids. The high antioxidant efficiency and determined effects of the interaction of bear garlic leaf extract with the erythrocyte membrane suggest that its constituents may not only protect cells against free radicals but also mitigate the effects of oxidative stress.

    The number and floor area of shopping centres are increasing in many Polish cities, regarded by consumers as one of their favourite forms of retail outlet concentration and especially attractive for young buyers. The purpose of this research is to present the empirical findings of a quantitative study into university business students’ perceptions regarding the factors of shopping centres attractiveness. A pencil and paper questionnaire survey was conducted on a representative group of 278 students of one faculty at the Poznan University of Economics and Business. Its results were used to identify, with the help of exploratory factor analysis, the critical factors determining the attractiveness of shopping centres from the perspective of students. The results show the factors of shopping centre attractiveness from the perspective of business university students, with the following being critical: offer perception, location and decoration, comfort of shopping, entertainment, and toilet accessibility.
    W wielu polskich miastach zwiększa się liczba i powierzchnia sprzedażowa centrów handlowych, postrzeganych przez konsumentów jako jedna z ich ulubionych form koncentracji placówek handlu detalicznego, atrakcyjna zwłaszcza dla młodych nabywców. Celem badania jest zaprezentowanie empirycznych wyników badania ilościowego odbierania przez studentów uczelni ekonomicznej czynników atrakcyjności centrów handlowych. Badanie ankietowe typu papier-ołówek przeprowadzono na reprezentacyjnej grupie 278 studentów jednego z wydziałów Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Poznaniu. Jego wyniki wykorzystano do ustalenia, za pomocą eksploracyjnej analizy czynnikowej, głównych czynników determinujących atrakcyjność ośrodków handlowych ze studenckiego punktu widzenia. Wyniki wskazują na czynniki atrakcyjności centrów handlowych z perspektywy studentów uczelni ekonomicznej, przy czym najważniejsze są następujące: percepcja oferty, lokalizacja i wystrój, komfort robienia zakupów, dostępność rozrywek i toalet.
    Во многих польских городах увеличиваются число и торговая площадь торговых центров, воспринимаемых потребителями в качестве одной из любимых форм концентрации заведений розничной торговли, особенно привлекательная для молодых покупателей. Цель изучения – представить эмпири- ческие результаты количественного исследования восприятия студентами экономического вуза факторов привлекательности торговых центров. Опрос типа «бумага и ручка» провели в представительной группе 278 студентов одного из факультетов Государственного экономического университета в Познани. Его результаты использовали для определения, с помощью эксплоративного факторного анализа, основных факторов, предопределяющих привлекательность торговых центров с точки зрения студентов. Результаты указывают фак- торы привлекательности торговых центров из перспективы студентов экономического вуза, причем самыми важными являются следующие: восприятие предложения, размещение и декор, удобство покупок, доступность развлече- ний и туалетов.
