Opis:: In order to support the designing process and selection of subassemblies of an installation, specialist application programs are created. Selected applications were compared in the paper through their use for designing hypothetical solar collector systems for a single family house with a varied number of household members. With the use of particular applications, calculations for the same input assumptions were made. Results obtained with the use of a traditional calculation method were a reference point. Applications were compared on account of the type and amount of input parameters which may be introduced, type and number of determined values and their value. Based on the obtained results usefulness and scope of use of an application were assessed.
W celu wspomagania procesu projektowego oraz doboru podzespołów instalacji tworzone są specjalistyczne aplikacje komputerowe. W pracy porównano wybrane aplikacje poprzez wykorzystanie ich do projektowania hipotetycznej instalacji solarnej dla domu jednorodzinnego przy różnej liczbie mieszkańców. Przy użyciu poszczególnych aplikacji wykonano obliczenia dla tych samych założeń wejściowych. Odniesieniem były wyniki uzyskane przy zastosowaniu tradycyjnej metody obliczeniowej. Aplikacje porównano pod względem rodzaju i ilości możliwych do wprowadzenia parametrów wejściowych, rodzaju i ilości wielkości wyznaczanych, a także ich wartości. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników oceniono przydatność i zakres stosowania aplikacji.

Opis:: Studies on the parasitofauna of the alimentary tract of dogs and cats of the Wrocław town and its surroundings were conducted in 1961-1962. During that period were examined 118 dogs and 206 cats. Detailed quantative data of the collected material are shown in the table 1. Particular attention was paid to the degree of infection of dogs and cats having their owners (I group) and to animals without their owners (II group). Table 2 represents differences expressed in percentages between the infections of the two groups of animals. In view of the existing difference of opinion as regards the species specificity of Uncinaria stenocephala the course of experimental invasion with this nematode in cats was traced. These experiments showed that this parasite does not attain maturity in cats and the time duration of the presence of the parasite in the alimentary tract of cats is relatively short (about 4-5 weeks). This is indicated by the fact that the number of Uncinaria stenocephala diminishes in cats between the 10-28 day following the infection and the presence of partly digested individuals, which were found after 20 days of the duration of the invasion. On the terrain of the Wrocław town there occur two species of nematodes of the Ancylostoma genus - in the dog - A. caninmn, in the cat - A. tubaeforme. This was confirmed by morphological and biological investigations. In puppies infected experimentally with A. tubaeforme this nematode was completely absent. The work deals also with the role of the parasites of dogs and cats for the health of human beings with particular attention paid to the nematodes of the Toxocara genus. With the extensity of the occurrence of those nematodes in dogs and cats on a given terrain is closely connected the presence of the „Larva migrans" in human beings.

Opis:: 301 birds have been investigated in order to discover Syngamus trachea; they all belonged to 4 families of the passerine class, thus to the Corvidae, Sturnidae, Fringillidae and Turdidae. Parasites have been found in 5 representatives of the Corvidae family, viz. in 3 crows (Corvus cornix) and in 2 rooks (Corvus frugilegus). It results from the investigation performed that the main role as hosts of the Syngamus trachea parasite play the birds from the Corvidae family, 5 per cent of which were infestated with Syngamus trachea and the authors are of the opinion that the poultry farms ought to be better proticted against the latter birds.

Opis:: Celem pracy było zbadanie zwyczajów żywieniowych otyłych pacjentów ze zdiagnozowanym nadciśnieniem tętniczym leczonych w Klinice Chorób Zawodowych i Nadciśnienia Tętniczego Szpitala Klinicznego Akademii Medycznej we Wrocławiu. Badaniem objęto 52 osoby ze zdiagnozowanym nadciśnieniem tętniczym - pacjentów Kliniki Chorób Zawodowych i Nadciśnienia Tętniczego Szpitala Klinicznego Akademii Medycznej we Wrocławiu. Do oceny zwyczajów żywieniowych wykorzystano autorski, standaryzowany kwestionariusz opracowany w Zakładzie Żywienia Człowieka Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu. Wśród badanych pacjentów z nadciśnieniem tętniczym zaledwie 12,9% mężczyzn i 33,3% kobiet deklarowało spożywanie 4 posiłków w ciągu dnia, 5 posiłków - ok. 5% kobiet i 3% mężczyzn, a więcej niż 5 posiłków - 3,2% mężczyzn. Wykazano, że przeważająca część badanych spożywała pieczywo białe (pszenne). Dotyczyło to ponad 33% kobiet i 58% mężczyzn. U blisko 29% pacjentek warzywa występowały w 3 porcjach, u ok. 14% – w 4 porcjach, a prawie 10% spożywało 5 porcji warzyw w ciągu dnia. 38% kobiet dostarczało 2 porcji warzyw dziennie, a ok. 10% – tylko jedną. Odpowiednią podaż owoców w diecie realizowało blisko 81% kobiet i 78% mężczyzn. Nieregularne spożycia mleka i produtów mlecznych deklarowało prawie 67% kobiet i 48% mężczyzn. Zaleca się, modyfikację składu racji pokarmowych badanych polegające na zwiększeniu w diecie udziału produktów zbożowych z pełnego przemiału, nasion strączkowych, warzyw i owoców oraz zmniejszeniu udziału tłuszczów zwierzęcych.
The study was aimed, therefore, at investigating eating habits of patients with diagnosed arterial hypertension of the Clinic of Occupational Diseases and Arterial Hypertension, Clinical Hospital of the Medical Academy in Wroclaw. It covered 52 persons with diagnosed arterial hypertension - patients of the Clinic of Occupational Diseases and Arterial Hypertension, Clinical Hospital of the Medical Academy in Wrocław. Evaluation of their eating habits was conducted with the use of an original, standardized questionnaire elaborated at the Chair of Human Nutrition, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. Amongst examined patients 12,9%) of men and 33,3% of women were eating 4 meals, 5 meals - 5% of women and 3%> of men, and more than 5 meals - 3,2 % of men. It was demonstrated that the majority of sick persons have eaten the white wheat bread. It concerned over 33% women and 58% men. Close 29% patients vegetables were found in a diet in 3 portions, at 14% of them - in 4 portions, however almost 10% ill women ate 5 portions of vegetables mane. About 38% women provided with only 2 portions of vegetables per day, and 10% - only one. The appropriate supply of fruits realized 81% of women and 78% of men. Irregular consumptions of the milk and dairy products declared 67%) women and 48% men. It is recommended the alteration of the warehouse of the nutritional rations ill from the arterial hypertension consists for increasing cereals in the diet of the participation of solid meal, leguminous seeds, vegetables and fruits and reducing the share of animal fats.
