Opis:
Presented paper is focused on the influence of additional combustor chamber named inter turbine burner on turbofan engine unit parameters. Investigation has been made how changing selected engine parameters affect its performance. A comparison has been made between the baseline turbofan engine and the engine with ITB. Engine thermodynamics model was prepared in MATLAB software. Main combustion chamber was fueled by kerosene, commmonly used in aviation transport, while inter turbine burner by alternative fuel. As an alternative fuel were choose liquid hydrogen and methane. Numerical researches were carried out for take-off conditions. Engine specific thrust and specific fuel consumption were obtained as a function of bypass ratio, turbine inlet temperature, fan pressure ratio, HPC and LPC pressure ratio. The results of the study indicate that hybrid engine with additional combustion chamber fueled by hydrogen fuel is more efficient than other studied cases.

Opis:
Presented paper is focused on the performance analysis of turbofan engine with additional combustion chamber fueled by alternative fuel. Additional combustion chamber was situated between high pressure turbine and low pressure turbine. Such configuration is also know under the name inter turbine burner (ITB). As an alternative fuels burn in additional combustion chamber were selected cryogenics fuels: liquid hydrogen and liquid methane. The main combustion chamber was supplied by conventional aviation fuel - kerosene. Thermodynamic model of turbofan engine with ITB was implemented in MATLAB environment. The problem of modeling an additional combustion chamber was presented. Analysis was carried out for take-off conditions. Obtained results indicate that implementation of ITB exert a positive influence on engine performance result in thrust increase.

Opis:
Presented work has an overview character and is focused on perspectives of sustainable aviation fuels application in civil aviation sector. The mean role of SAF application is to ensure reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and aviation footprint on environment. Paper describe the combustion proces of hydrocarbon fuels and problem related to the emission of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Fuel consumption, CO2 emission and SAF production data was presented on the graphs. The sustainalbe aviation fuel has been characterized. Certified conversion technologies with potential feedstock used for SAF production was described. Literature studies indicate that sustainable aviation fuel is successfully used in air transport.

Opis:
The article is an excerpt from the book by Natalija Jakubova Irena Solska: Bremia neobichnosti (Irena Solska: The Burden of the Extraordinarity, Moscow, GITIS, 2019), a Polish translation of which is in preparation. The text is dedicated to the collaboration between Irena Solska and Stanisława Wysocka that questions the presumed incompatibility of Solska as a star of the “old theatre” with the director-centred vision of the 1920s and 1930s. To challenge this opinion one is to reconsider the role of Wysocka’s work as a director, not limiting her achievements to the staging of the poetical texts of the classics. The author draws attention to the versatility of genres and topics of this work for which Wysocka engaged Solska as a collaborator for discovering new avant-guard authors, introducing principles of choral theatre or questioning woman’s role in society through the means of psychological realism.

Opis:
Diagnosis and treatment issues among heart failure (HF) patients are becoming one of the most important points in public health of developed countries, largely due to the aging of population and the fact that HF affects mainly the elderly. In this review we would like to focus on pathophysiology of exercise intolerance in patients with heart failure and potential benefits of cardiac rehabilitation (CR). Analysis of articles in the EBSCO database using keywords: heart failure, cardiac rehabilitation, exercise training, pathophysiology. HF can be described as a composite syndrome which results from structural or functional impairment of ventricular filling or blood ejection. Patients have variety of symptoms which usually are nonspecific. The most frequently occurring symptoms of HF are dyspnea and fatigue, which may restrict exercise capacity, and fluid retention. There are many possible pathophysiological factors involved in the development of exercise intolerance. Based on the available literature pathological changes in central hemodynamic function, pulmonary system, skeletal muscles, endothelial function and neurohumoral system can be distinguished. They play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of HF symptoms and represent a potential curative object. HF patients are characterized by diminished functional performance. Exercise training has many potential profits in patients with heart failure, including an increase in peak oxygen uptake, improvement in central hemodynamics, peripheral vascular and skeletal muscle function and has become part of evidence-based clinical therapy in these patients.
