Opis:
The medieval kingdom of Hungary within its borders, geografically limited by the crest of the Carpathians and connected by the river Danube, included in itself a number of nations and nationalities. Some of them lived there from the very beginning (the Slovaks, Magyars, Romanians), others got there in the course of time. Throughout the Middle Ages people migrated there from the West and from the East. The kingdom thus had been formed in a multiethnic state in which members of various nationalities lived side by side in peaceful symbiosis. Generally speaking, the central royal power in the Hungarian kingdom was positively inclinedtowards foreigners and tried to create favorable conditions for their arrival. Some of the Hungariankings, especially those who were themselves of foreign origin (Peter Orseolo, Charlesof Anjou, Sigimund of Luxembourg) were favourably inclined to foreigners, much more thenother sovereigns, to the extent that they preferred them at the expence of domestic nobility.is imbalance naturally aroused jealousy on the part of domestic Hungarian aristocracy. Under its pressure the rulers were therefore forced to take measures that prevented foreignersfrom reaching the highest state ranks, but these measures were o!en a formality since they themselves did not follow them and made their way. Many times, however, just these foreignpeople and mercenaries hired from abroad caused unrest and conflicts in the country andthat was another reason to take measures against foreigners to prevent these ills. In general, however, kings and nobility tried to form a favourable legislative framework for the peacefullife in the Hungarian kingdom. They tried to assimilate only foreigners of religion other than Catholic or at least to give their life in the country reasonable and acceptable limits.

Opis:
In the kingdom of Hungary we assume the presence of a Romance-speaking population as early as in the 11th century. Other groups of Latins, mainly Walloons, immigrated during the 12th century to Transylvania, along with the Flemish people, and to other important cities of the kingdom (Esztergom, Székesfehérvár, Oradea Mare, Pécs, Zagreb). But also into Spiš county. The most important Wallonian locality in the upper part of the country (Slovakia) was established in Spišské Vlachy located in the vicinity of the important German locality of Spišské Podhradie, where Saxon ʻguestsʼ were the first to be documented in Spiš. The presence of Walloons in Spiš is generally associated with the construction of the nearby Spiš castle although there may have been other reasons for their arrival. The local settlement is first recorded in sources in 1243, when King Bela IV. granted the settlers from Spišské Vlachy a special privilege. But Latin hospites in Spiš county lived not only in Spišské Vlachy and its immediate surroundings. The presence of individuals from the Romance language area is testified in other localities of Spiš as well, mostly in villages of the Hornád river valley (Aranyás, Mečedelovce, Odorín, Žehra and so on). The Wallonian community in Spiš wasn´t very numerous in comparison with local Slavs or German (Saxon) settlers and very soon was gradually assimilated in the domestic Slovak or German environment.
Możemy założyć, że w królestwie Węgier ludność romańskojęzyczna pojawiła się już w XI wieku. Inne grupy tej ludności, głównie Walonów, w XII wieku imigrowały wraz z Flamandami do Transylwanii oraz do innych ważnych miast królestwa (Esztergom, Székesfehérvár, Oradea Mare, Pecz, Zagrzeb), jak również na Spisz. Najważniejsza osada walońska w górnej części kraju (Słowacja) powstała w Spiskich Włochach (Spišské Vlachy), położonych w pobliżu ważnej niemieckiej miejscowości Spiskie Podgrodzie (dawniej Podegrodzie Spiskie, Spišské Podhradie), gdzie jako pierwsi na Spiszu udokumentowani zostali saksońscy „goście”. Obecność Walonów na Spiszu wiąże się na ogół z budową pobliskiego zamku spiskiego, choć mogły istnieć również inne powody ich przybycia. Miejscowe osadnictwo jest po raz pierwszy odnotowane w źródłach w 1243 roku, kiedy to król Bela IV. nadał osadnikom ze Spiskich Włochów specjalny przywilej. Ale romańskojęzyczni osadnicy na Spiszu mieszkali nie tylko w Spiskich Włochach i ich najbliższej okolicy. Obecność osób z romańskiego obszaru językowego jest poświadczona również w innych miejscowościach Spisza, głównie w wioskach w dolinie Hornadu (Aranyás, Mečedelovce, Odorín, Žehra itd.). Społeczność walońska na Spiszu nie była zbyt liczna, szczególnie w porównaniu z miejscowymi Słowianami czy niemieckimi (saskimi) osadnikami i bardzo szybko uległa stopniowej asymilacji z rodzimym słowackim czy niemieckim środowiskiem.

The frontier defense system of the Kingdom of Hungary, which consisted of guard settlements, gates and border fortifi cations-made of piles of stone and earth, rows of fallen trees, artificial hedges – as well as ditches (gyepű in Hungarian) was established in the 11th century. This socalled “gyepű line” was guarded by special troops called speculatores, consisting mainly of Hungarians, Siculs, Pechenegs and Cumans. It surrounded the territory of the state from all sides like a hoop. On the northern border of Hungary, in present-day Slovakia, a defensive system was built on road crossings leading to Moravia, Poland and Galicia. It used the mountain ridge of the Carpathians, which formed a natural barrier between the countries mentioned, and disappeared during the 13th century. But it is from this period that most written data is available, when some frontier guards were promoted and reached the ranks of nobility, while others left their guard posts and moved to another location. Most of them were bestowed by the king together with the settlement upon new aristocratic owners. It was also the case with frontier guard sites locatedtoward the Polish border. Many of the frontier settlements manned with border guards were deserted by their former inhabitants (Fintice, Slivník). The Tatar invasion of 1241 showed that this system was ineffective. Therefore, Hungarian crown began the construction of new stone castles, a few of which had already existed before and proved their worth. New stone fortresses had been erected throughout the country, but especially near the borderline. A whole chain of castles was established in the Little Carpathians, the valley of the Váh River, as well as the Orava Castle, Liptov, Spiš, Stará Ľubovňa Castle, etc., which better suited the new requirements of the Kingdom’s defense.

In general, transport companies have an unimportant role in the business market, in order to achieve the required sales and the related profit. Competition in road transport is great and enforcement from a large number of carriers is considerable. It is the price for the transport of goods that plays the most important role how to get the carrier and the customer who wants the lowest transport price. On the contrary, the carrier would like to get the highest amount for the shipment. A compromise between these two requirements should form the required shipping price. Pricing involves a factor other than costs, the attractiveness of the transport destination, in terms of the possibility of return utilization the vehicle. The aim of the paper is to verify the hypothesis, that the cost of transport is affected not only by the carrier's costs, but also the target destination of the ordered shipment.

Opis:
Wear resistant welds are used in many industries when it is necessary to protect machine components and structures against wear caused by operating conditions. Often the main parameter determining the usefulness of these welds is high hardness reaching about 60 HRC. In many cases, after the surfacing process, a mesh of cracks is formed in the surface layer, which can affect the durability of the hard-wearing layers used. The paper presents the analysis of the influence of preheating up to 400 °C on the properties of welds and its effect on the number of cracks in the surface layer. The use of preheating allowed to reduce the number of cracks in the padding weld to 1. The optimum heating temperature was 200 °C, for which the number of cracks have been reduced and the lowest wear was recorded.
Napoiny trudnościeralne są wykorzystywane w wielu gałęziach przemysłu, gdy zachodzi konieczność ochrony elementów maszyn i konstrukcji przed zużyciem wywołanym warunkami eksploatacji. Często głównym parametrem określającym przydatność tych napoin jest wysoka twardość sięgająca ok. 60 HRC. W wielu przypadkach po procesie napawania powstaje w warstwie wierzchniej siatka pęknięć, która może wpływać na trwałość stosowanych warstw trudnościeralnych. W pracy przedstawiono analizę wpływu podgrzewania wstępnego do 400 °C na właściwości napoin oraz jego wpływu na ilość pęknięć w warstwie wierzchniej. Zastosowanie podgrzewania wstępnego pozwoliło zredukować ilość pęknięć w napoinie do 1. Optymalną temperaturą podgrzewania było 200 °C, dla której zanotowano zmniejszenie ilości pęknięć oraz najmniejsze zużycie.

Opis:
International road transport is a specific service within the frame of services provided in the European Union. It is because the conditions of being active on the market are influenced by the states where businessmen operate, but services can be provided throughout the whole year in other member states of the European Union. The aim of the contribution is to highlight the existing problems in international road freight transport sector. These problems persist despite the fact that market access was exempted from the national law of individual member states and regulated directly by EU regulations. Despite the unification of market access, tax and social harmonization is not ensured in international road freight transport. An unequal tax burden on carriers and different requirements of wage regulations create a discriminatory environment among entrepreneurs. The contribution identifies the factors that deform the equal operating conditions in single market. The aim of the contribution is also to provide the readers with the answers to the questions: Is it possible under current EU conditions to harmonize tax and social conditions? What impact would this harmonization have on business environment?

Opis:
Enterprise in the EU is currently a single market business, but on which the conditions are not completely unified. In the case of mineral oil excise duty a minimum level of taxation is set by EU rules, but individual states do not strictly prescribe a specific rate of tax. It is a fact for international road transport, that there are states on the route of transport, where it is preferable to pump fuel. Because the mineral oil tax is an income of state budget in concrete state, is good for the state, if the carrier pumps fuel on the territory of that state. For carriers who only drive within the country the higher tax rate is more advantageous in terms of choice. For this reason, some EU countries apply for the selected group of entrepreneurs, the refund of excise duty due to the use of carriers in their territory and to achieve higher tax deduction in cumulative terms. The purpose of this contribution is to identify the possibilities for refunding excise duty in the Slovak Republic and to propose a procedure for assessing the effects of the refund of excise duty on mineral oils.

The year 1956 is a significant milestone in international road freight transport. The CMR International Convention was adopted this year. The reason for its adoption was to unify the rules in international road freight transport in connection with the contract of carriage. This step was very important not only for carrier but also for the consignee and consignor. The convention also characterized one of the most important documents in road freight transport, which accompanies goods throughout transport. Its name is the CMR consignment note. In recent years in road transport, the original CMR consignment note has been replaced by another CMR consignment note. This practice is referred to as the neutralization of consignment note. In another consignment note, only some data are changed compared with the original, and the goods are not handled during transport. It is an interference with the system of functioning of transport documents, which aims to obscure the actual movement of the consignment during transport. The paper contains own research, which identifies the presumption of the existence of neutralization of transport documents in road transport. The authors also propose the use of new technologies, namely new smart tachographs, through which the sender can prevent the neutralization of documents.

The paper presents the application of MAG welding to TMCP steels (thermo-mechanically controlled processed) grade S960MC and 3 mm thick. In the analyzed joints, the research focused on their mechanical properties and changes in the heat-affected zone (HAZ) that occur in this type of steels. The hardness and tensile strength tests carried out showed a significant decrease in the properties of the joint compared to the declared values of the base material and the filler material used in the tests. In the case of hardness, it was a decrease of 34% in HAZ and by 15-21% in relation to the strength limit. Changes in HAZ properties of a joint correlate with changes in its structure.
W artykule przedstawiono zastosowanie spawania metodą MAG do stali z grupy TMCP (walcowanych termomechanicznie) o oznaczeniu S960MC i grubości 3 mm. W analizowanych złączach skupiono się na badaniach ich właściwości mechanicznych oraz zmian w strefie wpływu ciepła (SWC) jakie zachodzą w tego typu stalach. Przeprowadzone badania twardości i wytrzymałości na rozciąganie wykazały znaczny spadek właściwości w złączu w porównaniu z deklarowanymi wartościami materiału podstawowego oraz dodatkowym jakie zostały użyte w badaniach. W przypadku twardości był to spadek o 34% w SWC oraz o 15-21% w odniesieniu do granicy wytrzymałości. Zmiany właściwości w SWC złącza korelują ze zmianami zachodzącymi w jego strukturze.

The calculation results of the temperature field during multi-beads GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) cladding of the S355 steel plate are presented in the paper. Numerical simulations were performed using the SysweldR program. Two of Goldak’s heat source models were chosen for calculating the temperature field for each weld bead. The original article achievement is, by selecting the right heat source model and heat loading of the finite elements, obtaining an irregular shape of the fusion zone. This irregular shape of the fusion zone is very complicated to obtain using other commercial programs for numerical welding simulation. The calculation results were verified by the dimensions (critical temperatures) of the heat affected zones (HAZ) determined in the experiment, obtaining a satisfactory agreement.
