- The paper presents the concept of energy-saving architecture as a way to increase the use of renewable energy sources in the energy economy and increase the level of eco-innovation in Poland. Solutions leading to the minimisation of costs of energy supply and consumption in the internal building system are presented. The paper shows basic forms of building optimization and the possibility of their adjustment to the existing directives and regulations of the European Union using modem technologies. The reflections have been supported by examples of good practice in the field in Europe and worldwide.
