Instability of the local oscillator causes phase noise – a phenomenon that is a disadvantage and is considered to be a major obstacle in the functioning of coherent optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CO-OFDM) systems. An attempt has been made in this paper to reduce the effects of common phase errors generated by phase noise. In this paper, a least mean square (LMS) based algorithm is proposed for estimation of phase noise. Using this proposed algorithm, the major problem of phase ambiguity caused by cycle slip is avoided and the bit error rate is greatly improved. Further, there is no requirement for modifying the frame structure of OFDM using this algorithm. A CO-OFDM system with the 8-PSK technique is used to implement the algorithm concerned. Furthermore, the algorithm, using the 8-PSK modulation technique, is analyzed and compared with the existing QPSK technique and with other algorithms. The investigations reveal that 8-PSK outperforms existing LMS algorithms using other techniques and significantly reduces the bit error rate.

Opis:
The Investigations of Twist Grain Boundary (TGB) phases in liquid crystals exhibits in different types of structural groups. In this study, these new findings present in the binary mixture of highly chiral liquid crystal, Cholesteric Nonanoate (CN) and nematic liquid crystal, N-(4-Ethoxy benzylidine)-4-butyle aniline (EBBA). The Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) has shown the thermodynamic phase transition of binary mixture at different scanning rate. At the other hand Optical studies of Twist grain boundary phases has also shown different type of textures. The domain of existence of TGB has exhibited with the weight percentage of EBBA is increased in highly chiral liquid crystals. This is very excited fact that the temperature range of type of TGB (TGBA*) phase is different at the different scanning rate. In the optical investigation we found new phases in cooling cycle as compare to the heating cycle.

Free Space Optical (FSO) communication is a quickly developing technology that is designed to handle high data rates while maintaining a good quality factor (Q-factor). Many novel techniques have been implemented to cope with atmospheric attenuating factors, such as fog and rain. Here, we have introduced circular polarization shift keying (C-PolSK) modulation to produce a stable and uniform light beam. The plane of polarized light keeps rotating along with the propagation vector, which helps reduce phase variations and cross-channel effects. C-PolSK provides higher penetrating power and attenuation resistance over linear polarization shift keying (L-PolSK). Two different C-PolSK models have been proposed and graphical comparisons, relying on such parameters as Q-factor, transmission distance and inputoutput power, have been made. The cases of moderate fog and rain attenuation are taken to verify the model’s efficiency. Polarized light is split into two orthogonal components and then modulated using the Mach-Zehnder modulator. One of the models also employs the principle of orthogonal differential phase shifting. Eye diagrams have been provided to verify the bit error rate (BER). The orthogonal differential phase shifted C-PolSK model proves to be the most suitable implementation prototype.

Environmental trepidations are global issues, environment sustainability is conceivable with the noble motive, which takes real shapes with the insights and perspectives from different religions. In the process of learning and teaching laid down by religion help to expand our understanding and develop our behavior towards nature. Role of religion to shape our attitudes to the natural world is significant, because its domination in human personality is always recognizable. The paper would like to find out different prospect to achieve environment sustainability with the help of imperatives given by Indian religion. This imparts many valuable imperatives which unify nature as an inseparable part of human life and vice versa. Three major religions originating from India were explored in this paper: Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. The paper tries to show the human affiliation with nature is well expressed in every aspect of Indian religious life.
Gdy degradacja środowiska stała się problemem globalnym, zrównoważony rozwój środowiska można sobie wyobrazić dzięki szlachetnemu motywowi, który przybiera realne kształty dzięki wglądom i perspektywom z różnych religii. W procesie uczenia się i nauczania nakreślonego przez religię pomagamy poszerzyć nasze rozumienie i rozwijać nasze zachowanie wobec natury. Rola religii w kształtowaniu naszego stosunku do świata przyrody jest znacząca, ponieważ jej dominacja w osobowości człowieka jest zawsze rozpoznawalna. Artykuł podejmuje próbę rozpoznania perspektywy osiągnięcia zrównoważenia środowiska za pomocą imperatywów podanych przez religię indyjską. Daje to wiele cennych imperatywów, które jednoczą przyrodę jako nieodłączną część ludzkiego życia i vice versa. W artykule tym omówiono trzy główne religie wywodzące się z Indii: hinduizm, buddyzm i dżinizm. Artykuł stara się pokazać, że związek człowieka z naturą jest dobrze wyrażony w każdym aspekcie indyjskiego życia religijnego.

The present paper analyzes an unsteady magnetohydrodynamic blood flow model of an visco-elastic fluid through an inclined porous stenosed artery with body acceleration and slip effect. Navier-Stokes equations have been used to describe the blood flow model. The governing equation of blood flow is solved by an analytic method by considering blood as an incompressible, visco-elastic fluid, and suspension of RBC’s in plasma. Axial velocity, blood acceleration, flow rate, and shear stress are derived numerically by using the finite Laplace and Hankel transformation and their inverse. The effect of parameters such as the visco-elasticity parameter, Womersley number, Hartmann number, inclination angle, parameter of slip, and body acceleration frequency is analyzed. Axial velocity reduces as the Hartmann number and visco-elasticity parameter enhance and it enhances with the enhancement of the slip parameter and inclination angle. The study is beneficial for finding the effect of slip parameter, porosity factor and Hartmann number when a human body is exposed to MRI and CT scan.

Let K be any quadratic field with $_K$ its ring of integers. We study the solutions of cubic equations, which represent elliptic curves defined over ℚ, in quadratic fields and prove some interesting results regarding the solutions by using elementary tools. As an application we consider the Diophantine equation r+s+t = rst = 1 in $_K$. This Diophantine equation gives an elliptic curve defined over ℚ with finite Mordell-Weil group. Using our study of the solutions of cubic equations in quadratic fields we present a simple proof of the fact that except for the ring of integers of ℚ(i) and ℚ(√2), this Diophantine equation is not solvable in the ring of integers of any other quadratic fields, which is already proved in [4].

Neem has immense biocontrol potential against a large number of pathogens causing various diseases in human beings and plants. The plant has maximum useful value in its leaves, bark, flowers and fruits than any other tree species. These values include antiallergic, antidermatic, antifeedent, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Due to the vast activities of neem, it has become extremely valuable in making our ecosystem a green treasure. Neem leaves have been demonstrated to exhibit immuno-modulatory, anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, antimalarial properties. Neem tree plant parts contain a promising pest control substance which has found effective use against economically important agricultural pests. Neem plant products are easy to process by village level industries on the micro scale level and use by resource poor farmers in crop protection resulting thereby in income generation. This plant also has antioxidant properties and free radical scavenging potential in its different extracted solvents. The present review highlights the properties of neem against the pathogens of living organisms for environmental protection.

The aim of the present paper is to investigate surface waves in an anisotropic, elastic solid medium under the influence of gravity. First, a theory of generalised surface waves was developed and then it was employed to investigate particular cases of waves, viz., Stoneley and Rayleigh, Love type. The wave velocity equations were obtained for different cases and they are in well agreement with the corresponding classical result, when the effect of gravity, viscosity as well as parameters for fibre-reinforcement of the material medium are ignored.

Indian female graduate students have to make choices among multiple aspects of their mental and physical abilities as science students and women in a society with different gender norms in the country. However, their experiences have not been well researched within the scholarship on commercial acumen. In this study, using the phenomenological approach, we explored the phenomenon of commercial acumen in the Indian female graduates studying science course meaning non-business course. The participants were diverse in terms of their status as students, current students and alumni. A small number of employers also participated in the study. A survey with open-ended and closed questions was used to evaluate the understanding and relevance of commercial acumen skills in the female graduate students, alumni, and employers. The findings of 127 responses indicated that the female graduate students perceived being on the non-business course as a limited experience of understanding of commercial acumen in the context of employability skills. This study recommends a reflection on the part of the educators to highlight the relevance and definition of commercial acumen during degree programmes.

Introduction and aim. Anemia remains a leading contributor to years lived with disability (YLDs), being responsible for 50.3 million (5.82%) YLDs worldwide and 19.3 million (12.03%) YLDs in India, respectively. Results of the National Family Health Survey 2019-2021 (NFHS-5) suggest a high burden of anemia in India among women of reproductive age and children aged 6-59 months at the national level (57%, 67.1%), and in the state of Bihar, India (63.5%, 69.4%). Iron deficiency is the leading cause, accounting for more than half the cases. Anemia bodes harmful implications for both the mother and child, with long-lasting consequences for the latter. Anemia control programs have yielded little benefit despite efforts stretching over five decades. This narrative review aims to highlight the burden of anemia and the probable factors behind it among under-5 children and women of reproductive age in the Indian state of Bihar. Material and methods. The paper is a narrative review. The following databases were used to search and select literature: PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar. In addition, the websites of relevant government departments and national health programs were searched for pertinent material. Analysis of the literature. A multitude of reasons seem to be behind the unabated high prevalence in Bihar: low socioeconomic status, gender disparities, traditional customs and practices, food insecurity, lack of diverse diets, poor consumption, and no adherence to iron and folic acid (IFA) supplements, groundwater contamination with arsenic and fluoride, and supply chain mismanagement, all playing roles of varying degree. Conclusion. An all-encompassing approach and not merely the provision of IFA supplements are necessary to unravel the intricate web of factors that lead to anemia.

A new functionalized biopolymer was obtained by modifying chitin using ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4). Thermogravimetric analysis was performed, and dielectric properties were examined. The obtained biopolymer showed better thermal stability, as evidenced by a higher onset temperature. The activation energy calculated using imaginary impedance data and Nyquist plots was found to be consistent. Moreover, the dielectric permittivity decreased rapidly with increasing frequency. At high frequencies, there was no dependence of dielectric loss on temperature and frequency. The obtained biopolymer can be used in many applications such as microwave devices, deflection yoke, high-frequency capacitors, sensors, etc.
Otrzymano nowy funkcjonalizowany biopolimer poprzez modyfikację chityny przy użyciu kwasu etylenodiaminotetraoctowego i nanocząstek magnetytu (Fe3O4). Przeprowadzono analizę termograwimetryczną i zbadano właściwości dielektryczne. Otrzymany biopolimer wykazywał lepszą stabilność termiczną, o czym świadczyła wyższa temperatura początku rozkładu. Wykazano zgodność energii aktywacji obliczonej z wykorzystaniem danych dotyczących urojonej impedancji oraz na podstawie wykresów Nyquista. Przenikalność dielektryczna zmniejszała się gwałtownie wraz ze wzrostem częstotliwości. Przy wysokich częstotliwościach nie stwierdzono zależności stratności dielektrycznej od temperatury i częstotliwości. Otrzymany biopolimer można wykorzystać w wielu zastosowaniach, takich jak urządzenia mikrofalowe, jarzmo odchylające, kondensatory wysokiej częstotliwości, czujniki itp.
