Opis:
The Czerwona Woda River is the main watercourse in the Stołowe Mountains National Park and drains the major part of the Stołowe Mts. It was regulated in the past, but its channel has been spontaneously naturalized. Now, managed spruce forests grow along almost the entire length of this small mountain stream. The aims of the present study were to investigate diversity of plant communities connected with the Czerwona Woda stream and to prepare detailed vegetation maps. The results obtained can potentially be a reference for future restoration projects implemented in the Stołowe Mountains National Park. As a result of vegetation mapping, there were distinguished 20 plant communities representative of the current vegetation and 3 communities representative of the potential vegetation. Phytosociological data on the vegetation was documented by making 62 phytosociological relevés. Based on these, 9 forest communities were distinguished, of which 3 were classified into associations, 1 – into alliance, 5 – into secondary forest communities. Furthermore, there were distinguished 14 non-forest communities, of which 10 were classified into associations. Several of the phytosociological classes distinguished have been reported for the first time in the Stołowe Mountains National Park.

Opis:
Uzależnienie współczesnych urządzeń wojskowych od energii elektrycznej powoduje, że ich skuteczność i niezawodność zależy w bardzo dużym stopniu od ciągłości dostarczania energii elektrycznej oraz jej jakości. Rozwiązaniem zmniejszającym zagrożenie braku ciągłości zasilania może być elastyczne pokrycie fotowoltaiczne realizowane w ramach programu„GEKON - Generator Koncepcji Ekologicznych”. Dynamiczny rozwój źródeł odnawialnych powoduje znaczący spadek ich cen oraz polepszenie ich efektywności energetycznej. Wymienione zalety powodują, że konwencjonalne źródła prądu (np.: zespoły prądotwórcze) w określonych wyżej przypadkach mogą być zastępowane przez źródła alternatywne. Istotą projektu jest skonstruowanie innowacyjnego elastycznego pokrycia fotowoltaicznego wykonanego w oparciu o polikrystaliczne ogniwa krzemowe. W ramach projektu określono: sposób cięcia pojedynczych ogniw na mniejsze płytki, dobór elastycznego podłoża, rozmieszczenie płytek oraz rozwiązanie metody wykonania połączeń pomiędzy nimi, a także koncepcję systemu gromadzenia energii zintegrowanego z pokryciem. Przedstawiono wyniki podstawowych badań pokrycia w zakresie pomiarów elektrycznych, elektroluminescencji oraz termoemisji. W oparciu o zrealizowane prace wykonano model elastycznego pokrycia fotowoltaicznego będącego bazą do dalszej realizacji projektu. Takie rozwiązanie ma na celu zapewnić dużą autonomię praktycznie w każdej sytuacji kryzysowej, może być wykorzystane np. jako element dachów namiotów lub jako wyposażenie osobiste żołnierza.
The dependence of modern military equipment on electricity means that their efficiency and reliability depend largely on the continuity of electricity supply and its quality. The solution to reducethe risk of power loss may be the flexible photovoltaic coating implemented under the "GEKON – Generator of Ecological Concepts" program. Dynamic development of renewable energy sources causes a significant drop in their prices and improvement of their energy efficiency. The aforementioned advantages mean that conventional power sources (e.g. power generating sets) in the above-mentioned cases can be replaced with alternative sources. The essence of the project is to design and construct an innovative elastic photovoltaic coating based on polycrystalline silicon cells. The Project defined the following: the method of cutting indiv idual cells into smaller plates, selection of a flexible substrate, arrangement of tiles and the solution of the issue of making connections between individual tiles, as well as the concept of an energy accumulating system integrated with the coating. The results of basic coating tests in the field of electrical measurements, electroluminescence and thermionic emission are presented. Based on the work carried out, a model of flexible photovoltaic coating was manufactured which is the basis for further pro ject implementation. This solution is intended to provide significant autonomy practically in every crisis situation, as it can be used, for example, as an element on tent roofs or as part of soldier's personal equipment.

Artykuł ma na celu dyskusję zmian wymagań dotyczących wytrzymałości połączeń międzywarstwowych zaproponowanych w Polsce na przestrzeni ostatnich lat. W dyskusji wykorzystano wybrane wyniki badań wytrzymałości połączeń prezentowane w literaturze jak również wyniki własnych badań porównawczych. Istotnym wnioskiem płynącym z przeprowadzonych analiz jest konkluzja, iż objęcie wymaganiami nawierzchni dróg o wszystkich kategoriach obciążenia ruchem stanowi zagadnienie niezwykle ważne, również z punktu widzenia zarządców dróg powiatowych i gminnych.
The paper is focused on the changes in shear strength requirements for asphalt interlayer bonding, proposed in Poland in last years. Selected test results chosen from the literature as well as from the own test results were considered. The main conclusion drawn from the work is, that covering the all types of roads with the requirements is really important, also for local road authorities.

Opis:
W artykule omówiony został problem wpływu grubości podbudowy niezwiązanej na trwałość zmęczeniową podatnej nawierzchni drogowej. Analizy przeprowadzono dla jedenastu wariantów grubości podbudowy. W obliczeniach przeprowadzonych metodą mechanistyczno-empiryczną uwzględniono podział roku na sezony temperaturowe. Potwierdzono istotny wpływ zmian grubości podbudowy na trwałość całej konstrukcji.
Paper discussed the influence of subbase course thickness on the pavement structure fatigue durability. Analyses were performed for eleven variants of subbase course thickness. The calculations performed with using of mechanistic-empirical method takes into account the division of the year into temperature seasons. A significant impact of changes in the thickness of the subbase on the pavement structure fatigue durability was confirmed.

Rhododendron ferrugineum occurs in the mountains of the Central Europe with large disjunction in geographic range between Pyrenees and Alps and between Alps and Sudetes. We expect that these discontinuities in the species occurrence should involved their phenotypic differentiation, similar as described on the studies of molecular markers. The aim of the study was verification of phenotypic differences between the species populations from the Pyrenees, Alps and Sudetes. We examined characters of leaves and capsules from 13 populations, each represented by 25–30 individuals, using ANOVA, discrimination analysis, principal components analysis and agglomeration on the closest Euclidean distances. Every from examined characters of leaves and capsules except of apex angle of a capsule valve and capsule valve shape differentiated between populations at P≤0.001. Despite, range of character variation differentiating even at the highest level overlapped between populations. The analysis of discrimination, principal component analysis and agglomeration gave similar results indicating differences between populations from Pyrenees, Alps and Sudetes. However, the differences between individuals did not allow distinguish regions. The morphological characteristics of the leaves and capsules allowed to distinguish among populations of R. ferrugineum from the Pyrenees, Alps and Sudetes, and the pattern of their phenotypic differentiation was similar to that described based on genetic markers. The relict population from the Sudetes is phenotypically more similar to the populations from the Pyrenees and the Western Alps than to the spatially closest populations from the Eastern Alps.
