Opis:
This paper presents a concept for the identification of stable reference points used in horizontal control networks, which is based on the lengths of apparent displacement vectors and their mean errors. These vectors and their mean errors are obtained during the process of calculating displacements with free adjustment conditions. It will be shown that the influence of the apparent displacement vectors has a significant effect on the calculation of results. The identification of stable points, using the proposed method, is an integral part of the adjustment process and allows for the interrogation the influence of individual point inclusion or deletion from the reference database, on the values of displacements of controlled points. A detailed process of stable reference points identification is presented using the example of a linear-angular network for a barrage.

Opis:
This paper presents results of investigations concerning utilisation of free tacheometric stations for: a) Determination of slip of objects located on escarpments, b) Investigations of deformations of bodies of monumental objects. The usefulness of the proposed technology of surveys for implementation of the above tasks has been proved. Results of investigations have been illustrated by results of surveys of displacements and deformations of the St.Ann’s Academic Church in Warszawa.

Opis:
Commencement of the ASG-EUPOS national network in 2008 resulted in rapid development of utilisation of satellite technologies for topographic surveys. Surveying experiments, performed in 2008 and 2009 at the chair of Engineering Geodesy and Topographic Surveys pointed to high usefulness of the RTK technology for topographic surveys. Research works, carried out at the surveying test site close to Grybów at the Nowy Sącz District, performed with the use of NAWGEO services of the ASG-EUPOS network proved that the expected maximum mean errors of horizontal locations and the ellipsoidal elevation of points, may be of the order of approximately 0.04m and 0.06 m, respectively (Malarski et al., 2010). Considering additional errors of the quasigeoid model, the issue is to obtain the centimetre accuracy in the system of normal elevations, which is required for topographic surveys. It seems that the proposal of Topcon company, concerning the mmGPS technology (Millimeter GPS) may meet those requirements.

Opis:
One of the basic criterion for safety evaluation of structures erected on embankment or sliding slopes is relative horizontal displacement at different elevations. Relative horizontal displacements beneath ground surfaces are performed with inclinometer measurements. This report presents results on horizontal relative ground displacements with the probe SISGEO S242SV30. Investigations were performed with two inclinometer columns 14m height embedded in Warsaw Bank Slope. Mean square error of single observation was determined and mean relative errors of relative displacements in relation to column height. On the basis measurement results several relevant recommendations and practical hints were formulated allowing to avoid survey blunders and discrepancies in measuring procedures often encountered. Detailed inclinometer horizontal displacement measurements results at Warsaw hillside St Ana’s Church grounds were listed and presented.

Opis:
Geodetic engineering surveys are an important part of the works carried out by the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography, Warsaw University of Technology. These works concern measurement techniques as well as advanced result analysis methods applied in precise industrial surveys and in processes controlling object’s behaviour over time. The thematic scope of research realised by Chair of Engineering Geodesy and Control-Measuring Systems shows that article related to geodetic engineering measurements and geodetic monitoring is carried out with high intensity, resulting in technological advancement and implementation of new or improved measurement solutions and methods of measurement result development.
