Opis:
In this paper the results of neat polyamide 6 (PA6), processed matrix and polyamide 6 reinforced with montmorillonite 3 wt% (PA6/MMT), surface examination are presented. Examination of surface of the samples was performed using optical profilometry, which allows to measure their physical properties in non-invasive method. Based on the analysis of the radiation intensity of the reflected light from the surface the Fourier Transform was performed, to allow the analysis of images obtained in the frequency domain.

Opis:
The most desired journey by human being is definitely travel through time. For centuries, people dream about time travel, to be able to go back and fix mistakes of the past. But there are many complications associated with time travel - starting from technological aspects ending with the philosophical paradoxes. Yet, is time travel possible from the technological and philosophical perspectives? How to solve the paradoxes of time travel? It should be noted that realisation of time travel leads not only to the discovery of the nature of time, but also to the understanding how much is unknown about it. In this paper, probability of time travel and solutions to paradoxes will be critically analysed from philosophical perspectives.

Opis:
Space and matter were created in the Big Bang. Since Big Bang, the Universe has been expanding continually by increasing its entropy. The fundamental forces broke their symmetries, making impossible to unify them together. Nevertheless, the symmetry of the Universe has not changed and interestingly will never. By analysing global and local symmetry, this paper will present a hypothesis on the future shape and energy expansion of the Universe. A new theory of point symmetry of the Universe will also be introduced.

Opis:
Eyespot is one of the most important fungal diseases of the stem base of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The presented study clearly demonstrated that the Pch1 gene was the main effective source for reducing the eyespot disease score in the analyzed winter wheat lines. Nevertheless, Pch1 was present only in 8−9% of the investigated lines. Using an isoenzymatic marker and molecular markers, the presence of the Pch1 gene and lack of the Pch2 gene was identified in six lines. Two lines, SMH 9409 and DL 358/13/4, were polymorphic in an isoenzymatic marker study. In the remaining three lines, C 3373/11-1, KBH 15.15 and KBP 1416, the Pch1 gene was identified only with the use of an isoenzymatic marker. Both genes Pch1 and Pch2, as well as the resistant variety Rendezvous, were found in three lines: DD 248/12, KBP 15.2 and STH 4431. In line DD 708/13, the presence of the Pch1 and Pch2 genes was identified, where the association between the Pch1 and the locus of the Xorw5 marker was broken. It was shown that the presence or absence of Pch1 and Pch2 genes did not significantly affect the grain yield (from the plot), although the yield was highest in the presence of both genes. A significant effect of the presence of the Pch1 gene on thousand kernel weight (TKW) was observed. Lines with the Pch1 gene showed significantly higher TKW values than lines without both genes or with the Pch2 gene only.

Opis:
The paper presents the current state of research on superconducting devices for the electrical power system, i.e. transformers, fault-current limiters, and energy storages. In particular, it describes scientific achievements of the Laboratory of Superconducting Technologies of Electrotechnical Institute. The development of distributed and renewable energy sources, as well as the increasing number of receivers with low power factor will rise interest in superconducting fault-current limiters and superconducting transformers rated below 1 MVA. Previous studies were focused on the largest power transformers and highest current superconducting fault-current limiters. ReBCO coated conductors allow to build efficient superconducting AC devices. Superconducting tape of a layered structure (second generation HTS tape) enables the construction of transformer rated up to a few MVA without the usage of parallel conductors. Relatively high resistance of the tape in normal state allows to build fault-current limiters and fault-current limiting transformers. Superconducting transformers and superconducting fault-current limiters can help to increase connected power of distribution stations and thereby accelerate development of renewable energy sources.
