W moim tekście staram się zarysować pewne wątki wynikające z feministycznej lektury książki Commonwealth Negriego i Hardta. Podkreślam przede wszystkim kwestie związane z pracą biopolityczną i tematyką rozwijaną w feministycznej analizie pracy reprodukcyjnej i opiekuńczej, kwestie związane z ciałem i seksualnością. Podnoszę też kilka kontrowersji odnośnie do zajmowania pozycji wykluczonych – tu: kolonialnych wykluczonych, odnoszę się przy tym do obserwacji na ten temat dokonanych przez Gayatri Spivak w tekście Czy podporządkowani inni mogą przemówić? Wychodzę przy tym z założenia, że jako interesujący projekt teorii emancypacyjnej, książka Negriego i Hardta jest zdecydowanie warta takiej dyskusji.
I propose a discussion of some feminist observations concerning the book Commonwealth by Negri and Hardt. I focus on the issues of biopolitical labor and the topics developed in feminist analysis of reproductive and care labor, I also suggest, that there are problems regarding the body and sexuality, that need to be solved. In my discussion of the book I also rise some problems concerning the conditions of occupying the position of the excluded, and the colonial exclusions in particular, I refer to some observations made by Gayatri Spivak in her essay Can the Subaltern Speak?. As an extremely interesting proposition of emancipatory theory, I think that the project of Negri and Hardt need to be discussed, also from the perspectives I have mentioned.

Słownictwo specjalistyczne obcego pochodzenia w praktyce holenderskiego lekarza rodzinnego Artykuł zawiera przykłady terminów fachowych pochodzących z języków obcych, które są wykorzystywane w pracy holenderskiego lekarza rodzinnego. Lekarz rodzinny przyjmuje pacjentów, którzy przychodzą do niego z różnymi dolegliwościami. Artykuł ten zawiera nazwy różnych chorób, terminy anatomiczne, nazwy testów diagnostycznych, metod leczenia i lekarstw. Języki klasyczne, tj. łacina i greka, miały duży wpływ na współczesne słownictwo medyczne, a terminy fachowe zaczerpnięte z tych języków wciąż są w użyciu. Nie dotyczy to tylko zapożyczeń całych słów, lecz także ich fragmentów, prefiksów i sufiksów. Oprócz łaciny i greki w zbadanym materiale są obecne także zapożyczenia z języka angielskiego i francuskiego. Słownictwo zawiera różne typy słowotwórcze: słowa proste, złożenia, derywaty i terminy składające się z wielu wyrazów. W grupie złożeń wymienić należy także tzw. hybrydy, w których każdy człon pochodzi z innego języka. Ponadto słownictwo jest bogate w eponimy i akronimy. De huisarts onderzoekt patiënten die met een klacht naar hem toe komen. Het gaat om namen van verschillende ziekten, anatomische termen, diagnostische tests, behandelmethoden en medicijnen. De klassieke talen, het Latijn en het Grieks, hebben een grote invloed gehad op de moderne medische vocabulaire en zijn nog steeds in gebruik. Niet alleen hele woorden zijn ontleend, maar ook delen, voor- en achtervoegsels. Afgezien van de Latijnse en Griekse termen zijn er ook ontleningen aan het Engels en het Frans in de voorbeelden. Het vocabulaire bevat verschillende soorten woordvorming, zoals eenvoudige woorden, samenstellingen, afgeleide termen en termen, die uit meer woorden bestaan. In de groep van verbindingen zijn er de hybride vormen, waarin elk deel uit een andere taal komt. Bovendien is deze vocabulaire rijk aan eponiemen en acroniemen.
This article includes examples of specialist terms coming from foreign languages which are used in the practice of the Dutch family doctor. The family doctor examines patients who come to him with a complaint. This article comprises names of various diseases, anatomic terms, diagnostic tests, treatment methods and medicines. Classical languages, like Latin and Greek, have had a big influence on the modern medical vocabulary and they are still in use. Not only have the whole words been borrowed but also their parts, prefixes and suffixes. Apart from the Latin and Greek terms there are also borrowings from English and French in the collected examples. The vocabulary contains different types of the word-formation, like simple words, compounds, derivates and terms, which consist of more words. In the group of compounds there are the so-called hybrid forms, in which each part comes from a different language. Besides, this vocabulary is rich in eponyms and acronyms.

In this article Ferdydurke is discussed as a forerunner of the logic of late capitalism with all its repercussions, as identified by Frederick Jameson. Gombrowicz’s novel is seen as an early prognosis of neoliberal ideology, with its demands for effectivity and productivity as well as negation of social and affective bonds. Margaret Thatcher’s aphorism: “there is no such thing as society” is a pretext for a critical analysis of Ferdydurke, including the feminist critics of the European vision of the subject built on fear of the Other. This feminist analysis of Ferdydurke reveals several problems with the notion of body – theories of Julia Kristeva (on abjection) and Lynda Nead (on the female nude) are employed to demonstrate this argument. The main conclusion that can be drawn from this analysis is that queer disruptions of the binary logic of gender oppositions do not necessarily produce anti-patriarchal results.

In my article I attempt to decipher the logic of a large police and secret services operation conducted by means of surveillance and direct control of the gay men in the late 1980s in Poland. LGBTQ+ activists claim that some 11000 men were involved in it, and yet, this action has never been properly researched, summarized and no justice procedures have been undertaken after 1989. This article combines the „archive activism” of Howard Zinn and his followers in the queer activism and theory, certain elements of theories of the public sphere and counterpublics (Kluge and Negt, Warner etc) and the critical deconstructive and feminist research on the archive and the private (Derrida, Berlant, Gatens) in order to build a discussion of how to queer the scattered state archives of the state police and services without petrification, nostalgia or resignation. It investigates the large spectrum of implications of “being public against our will”, depicting forms of resistance and insubordination as well, as “archivizing against their will” in the institutional context avoiding responsibility.

This article examines the concept of precarity from a feminist perspective, focused on love and affective labour, critically addressing the gender inequalities of neoliberal capitalism. The romantic, heterosexual model of love, typical for modern Western societies, has been dismantled and criticized in various ways, leading to contradictory solutions, which include its annihilation, sublation and modification, as well as (rather conservative) efforts to preserve it. However, love – in its different versions, both as theory and in practice – still provides models and solutions, not only for the neoliberal labour market and new forms of exploitation and expropriation of care and affective labour, but also for revolutionary ideas and transformations, among both feminists and Marxists. It thus requires a theory focusing on the sublation, rather than annihilation, of love’s past models. In my article I build such a perspective, signalling its potential for resistance and models for revolution in the times of neoliberal capitalism.

Andrzej Wróblewski’s painting has already achieved the status of a cult classic. His worksare usually interpreted as a confrontation with war, the system, or totalitarianism—thatis, as “political.” Understanding politics in this way—separating its “public,” “general,” or institutional aspects from direct, lived experience—is at odds with dialectics, whose complex trajectory the young Warsaw-based painters attempted to follow shortly after the war. Zbigniew Dłubak quoting György Lukács, the manifestos of the first exhibitions of modern art, and Wróblewski’s notes and texts all clearly indicate the necessity of moving beyond the classical (at least in liberal-conservative political thought) division between the public and the private in the analysis of avant-garde art of that period. From a feminist perspective, which I will develop here, I can only applaud the overcoming of this separation.
Malarstwo Andrzeja Wróblewskiego osiągnęło już status kultowy. Jego prace są zwykle interpretowane jako konfrontacja z wojną, systemem lub totalitaryzmem – czyli „polityczne”. Takie rozumienie polityki – oddzielanie jej aspektów „publicznych”, „ogólnych” czy instytucjonalnych od bezpośrednio przeżywanego doświadczenia – kłóci się z dialektyką, której złożoną trajektorią młodzi warszawscy malarze próbowali podążać tuż po wojnie. Zbigniew Dłubak, cytując Györgya Lukácsa, manifesty pierwszych wystaw sztuki nowoczesnej oraz notatki i teksty Wróblewskiego, wyraźnie wskazał na konieczność wyjścia poza klasyczny (przynajmniej w liberalno-konserwatywnej myśli politycznej) podział na publiczne i prywatne w analizie ówczesnej sztuki awangardowej. Z perspektywy feministycznej, którą tutaj rozwijam, mogę tylko przyklasnąć przezwyciężeniu tego podziału.

The author presents the problem connected to the use of the internet teaching English to business students. All the materials and information available on the internet help students to improve their text understanding, writing, listening, grammar, vocabulary, idioms and conversations in English. The author compares traditional and new interactive teaching methods. The paper consists of a list with internet addresses, which can help in English teaching. That list was prepared by the author of the paper.

The aim of the work was to present the relationship between the development of social capital and corruption on the basis of new growth and knowledge management theories. Corruption was regarded in this work as a brake on the country’s productivity growth through its impact on the rate and quality of structural changes in an economy, and therefore its welfare. The article discussed possible damages caused by corruption to the efforts in the development of social capital, especially in public administration, which could include, for example, fall in different types of standards and mutual trust of social life participants. Based on the studies of international institutions as World Bank, World Economic Forum and Legatum Institute was also analyzed the relationship between selected indicators of corruption and social capital levels on a group of 104 countries by means of statistical methods in 2009–2010. The results confirmed the presence of co-dependence between an increase in social capital level and a decline of corruption scale in the surveyed countries.

Postcolonialism in Poland – a feminist proposition In this article I try to introduce the feminist postcolonial theory in the analysis of several recent texts and projects which have been discussed in Poland and where the postcolonial, situated knowledge can be observed as one allowing the analysis of Polish peasantry, as an important element of the feminist art criticism or as a way of discussing Poland as semi-peripheric in its relation to “the West”. I discuss the debates over the music project R.U.T.A. and theater piece In the name of Jakub S., I also argue, that the application of postcolonial theory could transform the exhibition Gender Check into a genuinely feminist project. Postcolonialism is discussed here as theory directly indebted in the legacy of Karl Marx, theorist which seems irreplaceable in the contemporary cultural studies. The arguments for the last thesis is supported with references to some already historical materialist and decolonial feminist theories.

We usually associate memory with facts. A simple gesture of leaving a lipstick trace, a kiss, used for several decades by Ewa Partum, is a form of leaving your mark, as well as representing your emotional state. It has become the artist’s trademark. At first, it was her individual gesture, a kind of artistic signature. In 2006 Partum invited a group of South African immigrants to perform the signature with her. I’d like to find out what is actually included in this artistic act, how it surpasses the border between the private and the public and how it becomes a specific form of materialised universalism, the practice of a shared thing.
