Opis:
A CO2 boiled off gas (CO2 BOG) reliquefaction system using liquid ammonia cold energy is designed to solve the problems of fuel cold energy waste and the large power consumption of the compressor in the process of CO2 BOG reliquefaction on an ammonia-powered CO2 carrier. Aspen HYSYS is used to simulate the calculation, and it is found that the system has lower power consumption than the existing reliquefaction method. The temperature of the heat exchanger heater-1 heat flow outlet node (node C-4) is optimised, and it is found that, with the increase of the node C-4 temperature, the power consumption of the compressor gradually increases, and the liquefaction fraction of CO2 BOG gradually decreases. Under 85% conditions, when the ambient temperature is 0°C and the temperature of node C-4 is -9°C, the liquid fraction of CO2 BOG reaches the maximum, which is 74.46%, and the power of Compressor-1 is the minimum, which is 40.90 kW. According to this, the optimum temperature of node C-4 under various working conditions is determined. The exergy efficiency model is established, in an 85% ship working condition with the ambient temperature of 40°C, and the exergy efficiency of the system is the maximum, reaching 59.58%. Therefore, the CO2 BOG reliquefaction system proposed in this study could realise effective utilisation of liquid ammonia cold energy.

Opis:
Hypericum perforatum is well known for its antidepressant and anti-inflammatory activities, for which hypericin and its derivatives are indicated to be the most active compounds. Hypericin synthase (Hyp-1) is the only protein proven to catalyze the synthesis of hypericin. In this study, the full-length cDNA of Hyp-1 was chemically synthesized according to the Hyp-1 sequence in GenBank (accession no. AY148090) and then cloned into the plasmid pET22b. Hyp-1 was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) and purified with a Ni-NTA column. The purified protein was used to immunize New Zealand white rabbits, from which an antiserum was purified by protein G affinity chromatography. The polyclonal antibody against Hyp-1 provides a valuable tool for the study of hypericin biosynthesis in H. perforatum. Expression of Hyp-1 and the cellular distribution of hypericin were analyzed in different organs of red-pigmented H. perforatum plantlets. The black glands were not the only site of hypericin accumulation and the results indicated that hypericin might be synthesized in mesophyll cells or in tissues of the root and/or stem and then transported to the glands. This work provides a foundation for further investigation of the regulatory mechanism of hypericin synthesis during the development of H. perforatum.

Opis:
Phyllodulcin is a natural coumarin derivative found in Hydrangea macrophylla. To discover effective therapeutics for cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, we investigated the protective effects of phyllodulcin on PC12 cells injury induced by oxygenation and glucose deprivation/restoration (OGD/R). As a result, phyllodulcin can improve the cell viability and attenuate the extracellular lactate dehydrogenase release. Meanwhile, phyllodulcin can ameliorate the dysfunction of mitochondria through reducing reactive oxygen species production, decreasing the intracellular calcium level and increasing the mitochondrial membrane potential. ROS-associated OGD/R can induce cell apoptosis through the mitochondrial pathway. Phyllodulcin can inhibit apoptosis of PC12 cells through down-regulation of Caspase-3 and Bax as well as up-regulation of Bcl-2. These results indicate phyllodulcin can protect PC12 cells against the damage induced by OGD/R. This investigation gives promising evidences for the therapy of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.
