Opis:
The landscape of the empirical risk of overparametrized deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) is characterized with a mix of theory and experiments. In part A we show the existence of a large number of global minimizers with zero empirical error (modulo inconsistent equations). The argument which relies on the use of Bezout theorem is rigorous when the RELUs are replaced by a polynomial nonlinearity. We show with simulations that the corresponding polynomial network is indistinguishable from the RELU network. According to Bezout theorem, the global minimizers are degenerate unlike the local minima which in general should be non-degenerate. Further we experimentally analyzed and visualized the landscape of empirical risk of DCNNs on CIFAR-10 dataset. Based on above theoretical and experimental observations, we propose a simple model of the landscape of empirical risk. In part B, we characterize the optimization properties of stochastic gradient descent applied to deep networks. The main claim here consists of theoretical and experimental evidence for the following property of SGD: SGD concentrates in probability – like the classical Langevin equation – on large volume, ”flat” minima, selecting with high probability degenerate minimizers which are typically global minimizers.

We review recent work characterizing the classes of functions for which deep learning can be exponentially better than shallow learning. Deep convolutional networks are a special case of these conditions, though weight sharing is not the main reason for their exponential advantage.

Opis:
A new image encryption algorithm by using a discrete fractional angular transform and Arnold transform in image bit planes is investigated. In the image encryption algorithm, the original image is encrypted by the Arnold transform in image bit planes firstly, and then the resulting image is encrypted by the discrete fractional angular transform further. The key of the image encryption algorithm includes the parameters of the Arnold transform and the order of the discrete fractional angular transform. It is shown that the proposed image encryption algorithm is of high security and strong enough to counteract some conventional image attack manners.

Opis:
Fuzzy cellular neural networks with time-varying delays are considered. Some sufficient conditions for the existence and exponential stability of periodic solutions are obtained by using the continuation theorem based on the coincidence degree and the differential inequality technique. The sufficient conditions are easy to use in pattern recognition and automatic control. Finally, an example is given to show the feasibility and effectiveness of our methods.

Opis:
In order to give consideration to both comprehensive evaluation and efficient decision-making in collision avoidance decision-making process, a collision avoidance decision-making model based on collision circle is proposed by introducing the concept of collision circle. Firstly, the factors causing ship collision are analyzed. Secondly, the static and dynamic characteristics of collision circles are analyzed and summarized by using collision circle simulation cases. Thirdly, based on the static characteristics, a reasonably distributed collision avoidance decision model of (Possible Point of Collision,PPC) was established. Finally, the spatial data operations core algorithm (Java Topology Suite, JTS) is used for logical operation and visualization, so as to realize the ship collision avoidance evaluation and decision. The decision model was used to verify the accident scenario of "SANCHI", and the results showed that the obtained collision avoidance scheme was reasonable and in line with the "International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea" and safety requirements, thus providing a reference for maritime operators to avoid collisions between ships.

Opis:
It is well documented that unavoidable ions in a pulp such as Mg2+, Ca2+, and K+ have a significant effect on the interaction for particles, especially for flotation of metallic sulfide minerals and clay minerals. In this study, the effect of electrolytes on the flotation of inherently hydrophobic mineral-graphite was studied. It was found that the zeta potential showed a dramatic decrease, and the reagent adsorption capacity of mineral enhanced in the present of electrolytes. The possible mechanism responsible for improved recovery was investigated by electrokinetic, surface tension and ions adsorption tests. It is likely that the hydrophobic force is stronger than the electrostatic force due to the reduced potential of graphite. This might be in favor of the formation of hydrophobic oil film leading to an increase in the graphite floatability. The experiments provided a new spectacle to study inherently hydrophobic mineral processing with electrolyte solution.

Opis:
3,3’-Dinitro-5,5’-diamino-bi-1,2,4-triazole (DABNT) was synthesized by a facile method and its crystalline density was determined as 1.839 g·cm−3 at 293(2) K by X-ray diffraction. Its thermal decomposition kinetics and mechanism were studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry-thermogravimetry (DCS-TG), in situ thermolysis by rapid-scan Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (RSFTIR) and simultaneous TG-IR technology. The results showed that the apparent activation energies obtained by the Kissinger, Ozawa and Starink methods were 122.9 kJ·mol−1, 123.2 kJ·mol−1 and 123.5 kJ·mol−1, respectively. The thermodynamic parameters of ΔS≠, ΔH≠ and ΔG≠ were −37.5 J·K−1·mol−1, 118.4 kJ·mol−1 and 138.7 kJ·mol−1, respectively. The decomposition reaction process of DABNT starts with the transformation from a primary amine to a secondary amine and then the loss of one nitro-group from the DABNT structure. Gaseous products, such as N2O and H2O, were detected from decomposition in the range of 50-300 °C. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were further employed to illustrate the decomposition mechanism. The above-mentioned information on the synthesis and thermal behaviour is quite useful for the scale-up and evaluation of the thermal safety of DABNT.
