Opis:
Toluene in wastewater is volatile and difficult to degrade, and the longer it stays in the water, the higher is the risk. An advanced oxidation process (AOPs) has been used to degrade toluene rapidly and efficiently in wastewater by using ultraviolet light and hydrogen peroxide. Toluene in solution (initial concentration – 180 mg/dm3) with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 dose – 2022 mg/dm3) was almost decomposed within 150 min. pH as well as the presence of various ions in waste water did not affect the degradation process. However, under strongly acidic conditions (pH less than 3), the chloride ions reduced the degradation efficiency of toluene. Based on the UV spectrophotometer and GC-MS analyses, the degradation pathways were observed: first, the methyl group was oxidized leading to the generation of benzoic acid, the benzene ring was subsequently opened by the action of hydroxyl radical, followed by the gradual decomposition of the intermediate products into small molecules such as water and carbon dioxide.

Opis:
The paper described the experimental findings of underwater wet welding of E40 steel using self-shielded flux-cored wire with a TiO2 -FeO-MnO slag system. The arc stability, weld quality and corrosion resistance with different heat inputs were studied. The results showed that the wet welding process of the designed wire displayed good operability in the range of investigated parameters. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the weld metal depended on the heat input. Due to the high fraction of acicular ferrite in the weld metal, the mechanical properties of the weld metal under low heat input had better tensile strength and impact toughness. Fracture morphologies at low heat input had uniform and small dimples, which exhibited a ductile characteristic. The diffusible hydrogen content in the deposited metal obtained at a heat input of 26 kJ/cm significantly reduced to 14.6 ml/100g due to the combined effects of Fe2 O3 addition and the slow solidification rate of molten metal. The microstructure also had a significant effect on the corrosion resistance of the weld metal. The weld metal with high proportions of acicular ferrite at low heat input exhibited the lowest corrosion rate, while the base metal possessed a reduced corrosion resistance. These results were helpful to promote the application of low alloy high strength steel in the marine fields.

The construction process of the tunnel ground deformation regularity of surrounding rock, stability, deformation control of tunnel surface based on the requirements, combined with the characteristics of shallow tunnel with large-span. Used three-dimensional numerical simulation software, established a dynamic tunnel analysis program to simulate the construction process of center cross-diagram method and double sidewall drift method. Based on the stratum deformation, supporting force and analysis of plastic zone distribution, comparative analysis of engineering adaptability of different construction methods from the construction process and construction mechanics, get optimization tunnel construction scheme.

Opis:
The photo-degradation progress of epoxy coating and the effect of ultraviolet absorber under UV-B irradiation have been investigated in slow positron beam and by the Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. After 120 h of irradiation, the value of S parameter in sample bulk is reduced while compared with the virgin sample. The result is mostly due to post-cure process happening in this initial irradiation stage. As the irradiation time increases to 360 h, the S parameter decreases sharply. This is due to the growth of carbonyl group and the generation of free radical. After 528 h or longer time of irradiation, a very low S value was obtained near sample surface, indicating the formation of a dead surface layer. Positron results also reveal that the addition of ultraviolet absorber suppresses the development of the dead layer after long-term UV-B irradiation. Ultraviolet absorber has a suppressing effect on generation of polar groups towards sample bulk. The addition of ultraviolet absorber is a key factor that affects the photo-degradation of epoxy coating.
