In the present paper, a series of bimodal PBX compositions containing coarse (90 μm) and fine (<1 μm) HNS (2,2’4,4’6,6’-hexanitrostilbene) and hybrid PBX compositions based on HNS and HMX (1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7- tetraazacyclooctane) in varying mass ratios, along with the fluoropolymer Viton-A, a vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene copolymer, as a binder (5%), have been prepared on the lab scale. In order to observe any effect of incorporating fine HNS particles with coarse ones and the effect of replacing HNS with HMX in all types of bimodal and hybrid PBX compositions, the samples were characterized for composition analysis, thermal behavior and morphological analysis as well as evaluated for their mechanical and explosive properties including sensitiveness tests and detonic properties. The data showed that incorporation of fine HNS into coarse particles of HNS in the bimodal PBX resulted in an increase in mechanical strength and a decrease in friction and impact sensitivity, as well as an enhanced performance compared to PBXs based on coarse HNS alone. Viton-A based hybrid PBX compositions provided better mechanical and sensitivity properties as compared to conventional explosive compositions based exclusively on HMX or HNS and the performance of the PBX compositions increased with increasing HMX content.

Emotions in humans are subjective conscious experience characterized by psycho-physiological expressions and behavioral reactions. It may act as tool, if positively identified by complementing and enriching job performance but if negatively understood can ruin feelings and be a disaster. Emotions in healthcare organizations are important to be taken care of because in the service exchange process emotions of both the service provider and the receiver are directly involved. Although caring and curing patient by these employees is a professional activity but still, the empathetic and sympathetic behavior shown by these professionals influences their performance and success in hospital industry. Moreover, the behavior shown by these employees in the workplace is often discriminated on the basis of their gender as it influences the performance of health professionals. Based on above backdrop, the objective of the current study is to assess whether there exist difference in emotional intelligence of healthcare employees in hospitals with respect to their gender. A standardized questionnaire was used to conduct the study among 300 employees in hospitals with the help of scale developed by Hyde, Pethe and Dhar (2002). Data was analyzed through SPSS and results indicated that the level of emotional intelligence among females is higher than male employees.

Managing customer relationship is a great challenge in the present era of service revolution. As large numbers of players are now entering into this industry, the intensity of competition is growing among them in very passing day. In the current cut throat competition, customers are becoming very particular to use or not to use services of any organization. Therefore, managing customer relationship is playing dominant role for in almost every service providing organizations, so banks are not an exception. There is a popular belief that higher the emotional intelligence of service provider better will be their ability to manage customer relationship. So the present study is the part of a large study conducted on 300 bank employees working in 5 different banks (both in public and private sector) in the state of Chhattisgarh to assess whether their demographic variables, emotional intelligence and ability to manage customer relationship are related with each other. Data were collected with the help of a schedule to measure emotional intelligence and ability to manage customer relationship and are analyzed with help of ANOVA and Correlations by using SPSS. The study reveals that there exist significant and strong relationship between emotional intelligence, demographic variables and ability to manage customer relationship. Thus, it is concluded that service providers in banks with their high level of emotional intelligence and ability to manage customer relationship can contribute significantly to attract and retain customers and build long term relationship with them.

Tereny miejskie, a w szczególności zlokalizowane w sąsiedztwie ulic o największym natężeniu ruchu, są obszarami, na których mamy najwyższą formę degradacji środowiska przyrodniczego. Jednym ze znaczących przejawów tych procesów jest kumulacja metali ciężkich w wierzchnich warstwach profili glebowych oraz roślinach tam rosnących. Celem pracy była ocena stopnia zanieczyszczenia metalami ciężkimi Cu, Cd, Cr, Pb i Zn runi trawiastej pobranej z wybranych ciągów komunikacyjnych Lublina. Próbki roślinne pobrano z 18 stanowisk, zróżnicowanych zgodnie z założonymi celami badawczymi. W każdym z miejsc pobrano 2 reprezentatywne próbki (20÷30) cm od krawędzi jezdni i w odległości 2 m. Koncentracja metali ciężkich w badanych roślinach była zróżnicowana; stwierdzono znaczący wpływ zawartości metali ciężkich oznaczonych w glebach na ich koncentrację w runi trawiastej pobranej z wybranych ciągów komunikacyjnych Lublina.
Urban areas, in particular, located in the vicinity of streets with the highest traffic areas, are areas where we have the highest form of environmental degradation. One significant manifestation of these processes is the accumulation of heavy metals in the upper layers of soil profiles and the plants growing there. In areas where there is a high traffic is observed not only significant concentration of carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, hydrocarbons, soot but also heavy metals. Therefore, there is a need to assess the content of heavy metals in soil, which was the subject of previous research and their contents in plants. The aim of this study was to assess the degree of contamination with heavy metals Cu, Cd, Cr, Pb and Zn of grass sward taken from selected routes of Lublin. Plant samples were collected from 18 sites, varying in accordance with the objectives of research. In each position, two representative samples were collected (20÷30 cm and 2 m from the edge of the carriageway). The plant material was mineralized using aqua regia, the heavy metals content was determined using the AAS technique spectrometer Perkin Elmer 3300 AAS. The concentration of heavy metals in the studied plants was varied and ranged for Cu (13.72÷80.92) mg/kg, Cd (0.94÷2.01) mg/kg, Cr (1.07÷56.04) mg/kg, Pb (4.44÷133.4) mg/kg, Zn (44.85÷254.6) mg/kg. It was found that heavy metals in soils significantly influenced their concentration in the grass sward taken from the selected routes of Lublin.

Przedstawiono rodzaje i cechy szczególne wypadków drogowych oraz omówiono metody analityczne oraz zasady działania wybranych programów komputerowych wspomagających proces rekonstrukcji wypadków drogowych.
The theoretical issues connected with vehicles movement and mechanics of bodies collision were signaled in this article. The types and features of vehicle crashes were presented too. The analytical methods of traffic accidents reconstruction and operation of selected programs, that support of reconstruction process were discussed in this work.
