Podstawowym celem niniejszego artykułu jest określenie najczęściej używanych propagandowych środków wyrazu w filmie Triumf woli Leni Riefenstahl. Tak sformułowany cel badawczy można przedstawić w postaci następujących pytań: Jakie propagandowe środki wyrazu zostały zastosowane w filmie? Za pomocą jakiej symboliki przygotowano przekaz propagandowy w filmie Leni Riefenstahl? Odpowiedzi na te pytania zostały zinterpretowane w kontekście teorii Stewarta M. Hoovera from medium to meaning. Autor zwrócił w niej uwagę na istotne pytanie: Na ile media przekazują znaczenie? Na ile nadają zjawisku znaczenie? Analogicznie do tego można zadać pytanie – w odniesieniu do filmu Riefenstahl: Na ile jej film mógł nadać znaczenie nazistowskiej propagandzie? Jaką rolę kino odgrywało w polityce Adolfa Hitlera w popularyzacji znaczenia jego poglądów? Artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy. Pośrednim jego celem jest zwrócenie uwagi na przekaz znaczenia w komunikacji audiowizualnej.
The main purpose of this paper is to determine the most frequently used propaganda forms of expression in the film Triumph of the Will by Leni Riefenstahl. This research target may be presented in the form of the following questions: Which propaganda forms of expression have been used in the film? Which symbols have been used to convey the message in Leni Riefenstahl’s film? The answers to these questions will be interpreted in the context of Stewart M. Hoover’s theory “from medium to meaning.” Its author paid attention to the essential question: To what extent do media convey meaning? To what extent do they give meaning to a phenomenon? Analogically, a question may be asked, with reference to Riefenstahl’s film: to what extent her film might have given meaning to the Nazi propaganda? What was the role of cinema in Adolf Hitler’s policy and in popularising his views? The article is a review paper. Its indirect goal is to draw attention to the transfer of meaning in audiovisual communication.

Opis:
Issues related to the eroticism frequently appear in the media and this is the context in which the authors of the following text concentrated on a closely related and yet opposing matter. They decided to ask about the broadly defined chastity and the purity of heart, mind and body (the terms chastity and purity, as well as unchastity and impurity, shall be used interchangeably). How is this topic presented by the contemporary media? Simultaneously, they ask how the issues related to the lack of such purity, e.g. in the physical context, are treated by the media. The authors made an attempt to explain this by presenting a comparative analysis of two films they chose as serving best for their purpose. The first is50 Shades of Grey, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, and the other Caroline, directed by Dariusz Regucki. During the first stage of this research of notions and chastity and unchas-tity have been defined, on the basis of the proper reference books. Next, the chosen movies were analysed thoroughly, in order to define the true look of the purity and impurity noticeable in both movies – in their activities, as well as in the behaviour and dialogues of the main protagonists. The third stage of the research assumed creating a synthesis of the material achieved on the basis of analysing the two pictures. At this moment it became possible to present the conclusions, pointing out, first of all, that the media are rather poorly interested in the subject of chastity. However, this inspired the authors to drawing other conclusions in the form of the postulates, concerning how the media presents the subjects of purity and impurity.

Kompetencja etyczna to dziś – nie tylko w mediach, ale w każdym miejscu pracy – szczególnie cenna umiejętność. Zdobywana czy doskonalona jest m.in. podczas edukacji, np. w ramach zajęć z etyki komunikacji. A zatem celem badawczym było określenie modelu nauczania etyki komunikacji (communication ethics) według amerykańskiego stowarzyszenia National Communication Association. Niniejszy model nauczania określono na podstawie opisów kursów z etyki komunikacji, dostępnych na stronie stowarzyszenia. Pytania badawcze to m.in.: Jaki model nauczania etyki komunikacji jest popularyzowany przez National Communication Association? Jaka tematyka podejmowana jest w ramach nauczania etyki komunikacji? Jedna z hipotez badawczych brzmi: Nauczanie etyki komunikacji w ujęciu National Communication Association ma charakter uniwersalny, tj. odpowiedni nie tylko dla dziennikarzy, ale także dla innych zawodów. W badaniu posłużono się metodą analizy treści. Uzyskane wyniki mogą posłużyć międzynarodowej wymianie edukacyjnej w doskonaleniu nauczania formalnego i poza formalnego etyki komunikacji i mediów.
Ethical competence is now, not only in the media but in every workplace, a particularly valuable skill. It is acquired or refined, among other ways, during education, such as in communication ethics classes. Therefore, the research objective was to determine the teaching model of communication ethics according to the American association, the National Communication Association. This teaching model was identified based on descriptions of communication ethics courses available on the association’s website. Research questions included, among others, What teaching model of communication ethics is promoted by the National Communication Association? What topics are addressed in the teaching of communication ethics? One of the research hypotheses is: Teaching communication ethics according to the National Communication Association is universal, suitable not only for journalists but also for other professions. The content analysis method was employed in the study. The obtained results can contribute to international educational exchange in improving both formal and informal teaching of communication and media ethics.

Opis:
The purpose of this study is to outline the current problems with the company's documentation workflow process and propose a plan to implement a new automated system to eliminate waste and improve the company's cash flow. Every enterprise is required to accurately record business operations. Accounting is the foundation of an organization, serving not only to meet legal requirements, but also to support management processes. In the case of large enterprises, complex accounting carries the risk of problems with timely and correct accounting, which can lead to delays in payments, reminders, collection procedures and interruptions in deliveries. As a result, it becomes crucial to put processes in place to safeguard liquidity. The study includes an analysis of the company's current documentation workflow process and identification of problems associated with it. A plan is then proposed to implement a new automated system to eliminate waste. The methodology is based on an analysis of the company's internal data and available technological solutions. The main results of the study include the identification of existing problems in the documentation workflow process and a plan for implementing a new system. The findings indicate that improving process efficiency can help increase the company's cash flow. The study introduces a new perspective on records management in enterprises, especially in the context of eliminating waste and improving liquidity. The theoretical value of the work lies in identifying opportunities for effective records management in the context of supporting business processes. The introduction of an automated documentation workflow system can bring practical benefits, such as reducing payment delays, avoiding debt collection procedures and improving the overall efficiency of business operations.

W artykule odniesiono się do takich aspektów działalności naukowej, jak: przedmiot i podmiot badań poznawczej pracy naukowej, aspekt koncepcyjny, aspekt metodologiczny oraz aspekt teleologiczny).
The aim of the article is to define contemporary links between linguistics, especially applied linguistics and media science. The authors’ task is to indicate the areas of interpenetration of both disciplines and their sub-disciplines, showing the possibilities of cooperation between linguists and media experts, including cooperation of an interdisciplinary nature. The article refers to such aspects of scientific activity as the subject of scientific research of cognitive work (subject and investigator, the conceptual aspect, the methodological aspect and the teleological aspect).

Opis:
Aceremonial inauguration of an Internet project entitled Towns in Archival Documents, available on www.Polska.pl, took place in September this year in Bolimów. It is precisely this location, situated to the east of Łowicz, which inaugurated an Internet presentation of the history of more than ten historical towns in Poland. The www. pages contain 22 handwritten and cartographic documents made available by the State Archives thanks to the NASK Scientific and Academic Computer Network as well as extracted from sources in public and private collections for the purpose of recalling the former splendour and municipal traditions of Bolimów. The intention of the authors was to render possible access to archival sources, and in this way to popularise the history of Poland by using new media. In the near future, the history of other small towns and localities: Bochnia, Brzozów, Chrzanów, Czerwińsk, Kąty, Latowicz, Leżajsk, Łomża, Przeworsk, Skawina, Szreńsk, Warta, Wasilków, Wiśnicz and Zabłudów, will be presented in a similar manner and saved from oblivion. The open form of the presentation made it possible to expand the material by means of assorted souvenirs associated with the place of residence, such as family photographs or reminiscences, in order to encourage a more indepth acquaintance with local history and mould the feeling of local identity. The meeting which inaugurated the project was attended by about 150 invited guests, who were welcomed by Andrzej Jagura, the head of the commune of Bolimów. Brief speeches were given by Doc. Dr. hab. Daria Nałęcz, the Head Director of the State Archives, and Dr. Maciej Kozłowski, Director of the NASK Scientific and Academic Computer Network. The premises of the project were presented by Hubert Wajs, Director of the Main Archive of Old Acts in Warsaw, Marek Marzec, head of www.Polska.pl. Alojzy Orszulik, the bishop of the diocese of Łowicz, Prof. Dr. hab. Michał Kleiber, the Minister of Telecommunication, Ryszard Mikliński, Vice-Minister of Culture, and Senator Grażyna Staniszewska shared their observations with the other participants of the presentation. The meeting ended with a brief discussion which expressed appreciation for the organisers’ initiative and stressed the necessity of its further continuation and development. The presentation closed with artistic performances given by the local school children and students and an Old Polish reception.

The article undertakes the topic of audio-visual media influence. As this topic can be analysed in different ways, the authoress limits herself to delivering an outline of the issue. First, such terms as influence, effect, and manipulation are explained. Secondly, the positive and negative effects of audio-visual media influence are presented on the basis of their fundamental functions: informative, educational, and entertaining. Thirdly, the selected theories of mass media influence are presented, as they result from the long-standing empirical research and make an important contribution into the study of media.

The intention of the article is to present to readers the Palace of the President of the Republic of Poland with its garden. This ensemble is a well-known monument, valuable for the culture of our country. It is located on a Warsaw Scarp, embedded in the landscape of the downtown. Its rich history dates back to the seventeenth century and is associated with many personages, including Stanisław Koniecpolski and Michał Kazimierz II Radziwiłł. The palace and park complex represents a unique historical and natural value, which has been the reason for bringing it under protection. While the palace itself has been broadly described in the monograph by art historians Zbigniew Bania and Tadeusz Stefan Jaroszewski, the garden inextricably linked to it has not been a subject of extensive study and publications. Therefore, the authors of this paper, after having presented the history of the palace, analyse in more detail the shape and the design of the garden: from early baroque until present times.
