    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analiz mających na celu wykrywanie zależności zawartych w nagromadzonych danych, ich graficznej reprezentacji i interpretacji za pomocą sieci neuronowych Kohonena. W celu ilustracji analiz danych za pomocą sieci Kohonena posłużono się przykładami analizy danych dotyczących jednostek terytorialnych: punktów gastronomicznych w województwach, podmiotów gospodarczych z różnych sekcji Polskiej Klasyfikacji Działalności w podregionach oraz obiektów sportowych w powiatach. Analiza została przeprowadzona od zbioru najprostszego do najbardziej złożonego, czyli zawierającego najwięcej obserwacji i zmiennych. Na potrzeby analiz danych i ich interpretacji wykorzystywano oprogramowanie firmy SAS Institute Inc.
    In the article the authors present results of analyses aimed at detecting dependencies in the collected data, their graphical presentation and interpretation with the aid of Kohonen neural network. For illustration of data analyses with Kohonen techniques, examples concerning varied restaurants and catering business objects, business entities, sport facilities in provinces of Poland are presented. Analyses were performed on simple data sets as well as on more complex sets with many observations and variables. For the purpose of data analyses and the results’ interpretation, SAS software was used.

    Opis:
    The aim of this paper is to give an insight into text mining techniques in the context of unstructured text collections of location independent job offers. In order to extract useful information, uncover interesting patterns and features of remote work, we analyze the five most popular and most visited websites containing job offers. We examine clusters of remote job offers, the keywords describing those clusters, as well as the linkages between strongly associated terms describing mobile work offers. It is interesting to observe the maturity of the text mining tools which have broadened their applications to new research topics and have become suitable to explore new phenomena.

    The article concerns products and services recommendation systems in ecommerce which have become increasingly important for both consumers and retailers. The methods used for the recommendation of products and services, as well as the algorithms used to implement them, are presented in the article. Particular attention was paid to the problems of testing the suitability of algorithms, along with the effectiveness measures of the applications of the methods and algorithms.

    The article presents increasingly popular agile methodologies that are more and more often used for projects management of software development. The aim of this article is to analyze the concept of agility and agile methodologies, as well as to find an answer to the question when it is worth to use such methodologies which require organizational effort associated with their use, acquisition of the necessary skills and covering the necessary costs. We consider agile methodologies as the specific project management methodologies in software development. Therefore the article describes their role in the development of agile IT infrastructure, agile organizational culture, and issues related to the possibility of assessing the level of methodologies' agility, as well as the possibility of evaluation the purposefulness and benefits of using them in software development practice.

    Observation of nature is often the inspiration for unconventional and innovative ideas, proposals, suggestions, overall concepts for carrying out modeling phenomena and technical processes, economic, processing and analysis of statistical data. Artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms and evolutionary algorithms were created as an imitation of biological solutions. In recent years, the rapid development of immunological algorithms which are based on the action of the human immune system, has occurred. These algorithms are used in mathematics, engineering, problem solving in decision making, management, economics, finance. At the beginning of this article we describe the action of the human immune system, which is the basis for the construction of immune algorithms. Then we present the most important mechanisms influencing the operation and construction of the algorithms based on biological mechanisms of the immune system, in particular the negative selection, immune network, clonal selection. Then we describe how the elements and mechanisms of artificial immune system algorithms are represented to enable modeling, processing and analysis of data. In the last part of the article to illustrate the wide range of possibilities of using immune algorithms to solve various sorts of problems from a completely different fields, we present examples of applications that involve the assessment of bank borrowers, the task of coloring a graph belonging to combinatorial optimization problems, a multi-dimensional classification, fault detection.

    W artykule przedstawiono analizę porównawczą atrakcyjności turystycznej powiatów województwa świętokrzyskiego, przeprowadzoną za pomocą metody PROMETHEE, należącą do metod analiz wielokryterialnych, opartych na teorii grafów oraz teorii relacji preferencji. Kryteria decydujące o atrakcyjności powiatów podzielono umownie na osiem grup: przyrodnicze, zabytki, baza noclegowa, infrastruktura usługowa, dostępność komunikacyjna, infrastruktura techniczna, stosunki ludnościowe, finanse powiatów. Rozpatrywano 17 kryteriów oceny do analizy 14 powiatów, W wyniku jej zastosowania otrzymano uporządkowanie powiatów według atrakcyjności turystycznej, klasy atrakcyjności turystycznej oraz diagnozę „siły atrakcyjności” ze względu na przyjęte kryteria.
    The article presents a comparative analysis of the tourist attractiveness of powtals in the Świętokrzyskie Województwo carried out by the PROMETHEE method. It is one of the multi-criterion analytical methods based on graph theory and preference relation. The evaluation criteria were divided into eight groups: natural environment, monuments, accommodation, service infrastructure, transport accessibility, technological infrastructure, population and finances. From these eight groups 17 subcriteria were used to analyse 14 powiats. As a result the powiats were ranked according to their tourist attractiveness, and classes were established with their 'power of attractiveness’ diagnosed.

    W artykule przedstawiono próbę przewidywania kierunków działań rozwojowych gospodarstwa agroturystycznego. Zastosowano technikę znaną w marketingu jako analiza koszykowa. Analiza dotyczy współzależności przedsięwzięć podejmowanych przez poszczególne gospodarstwa agroturystyczne. Dzięki odkryciu współzależności między cechami, możemy tworzyć reguły postaci: jeżeli cecha A towarzyszy określonemu zdarzeniu, to możemy się spodziewać, że cecha B będzie także towarzyszyć temu zdarzeniu. W naszym przypadku będziemy rozważać, jakie inwestycje gospodarstwa agroturystyczne podejmują łącznie oraz jaka jest kolejność podejmowanych inwestycji - posłuży nam do tego analiza asocjacji oraz analiza sekwencji, przeprowadzane przy wykorzystaniu programu Enterprise Miner firmy SAS (2003). Analiza asocjacji pozwoli sformułować wnioski co do tego, jakie przedsięwzięcia poszczególne gospodarstwa realizują jednocześnie, a analiza sekwencji odnaleźć przedsięwzięcia realizowane przez gospodarstwa kolejno w określonych odstępach czasu. Analizę przeprowadzono na przykładzie gospodarstw agroturystycznych w regionie świętokrzyskim.
    The article presents an attempt to predict the course of development activity on agrotourism farms. A well-known marketing technique, market basket analysis, has been implemented which concerns the interdependencies of investments undertaken by individual agrotourism farms. Due to the discovery of interdependencies between different features, rules can be created: if feature A accompanies a particular event it may be expected that feature B will accompany this event as well. In this case, investments made Jointly by agrotourism farms will be considered in the order in which they are made. Association analysis and sequence analysis were conducted with the SAS Enterprise Miner programme (2003). Association analysis will help find out what investments have been implemented at individual farms simultaneously, while sequence analysis will allow identification of investments consecutively implemented by farms measured at specific intervals. The analysis has been conducted using the example of the Świętokrzyskie Województwo.
