In this paper, the distortion of the reconstructed images of the propagating light pulse in transmission light-in-flight holography recording was analyzed. Based on the analysis model, for recording the wavefront more accurately, the optimized selection of relevant parameters was made. Furthermore, a cylindrical lens was introduced to correct the image distortion. Additionally, the light-in-flight recording of the wavefront changing during propagation was simulated.

Opis:
Most researches of network reliability generally assume that the system structures do not change with time. This paper presents the concept of multi-phase network systems (MPNS) to consider dynamic characteristics of networks, and analyze the reliability of MPNS. MPNS reliability is evaluated through a cross-phase binary decision diagram (BDD). The BDD-based algorithm can act as a platform to consider various components behaviors such as repair and growing pressure. Case study shows that the proposed MPNS concept is an effective description of some practical communication networks, and the cross-phase BDD model is efficient in analyzing MPNS reliability.
Większość badań niezawodności sieci ogólnie przyjąć, że struktury systemu nie zmieniają się w czasie. W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję systemów sieciowych wielofazowych (MPNS) rozpatrywanie dynamicznych właściwości sieci i analizy niezawodności MPNS. MPNS niezawodność jest oceniany przez cross-fazowego schematu decyzyjnego binarny (BDD). Algorytm z siedzibą w BDD może działać jako platforma do rozważenia różnych komponentów zachowań, takich jak naprawy i rosnącej presji. Studium przypadku pokazuje, że proponowana koncepcja MPNS jest skutecznym opis niektórych praktycznych sieci komunikacyjnych, a cross-fazowego modelu BDD jest skuteczny w analizie MPNS niezawodność.

In this paper, transient stability of power systems with structure preserving models is considered. A Hamiltonian function which can be regarded as a Lyapunov function for the system is proposed. Based on this, the influence of flux decay dynamics, especially during a fault, on transient stability is analyzed. With the increase of load power, the variation of stability boundary in the rotor angle/Eq plane is shown. The Energy-based excitation control, aiming at injecting additional damping into the post-fault system may reduce the critical clearing time (CCT). This can be demonstrated by the comparison of different flux decay dynamics in the fault-on condition, and the reason is illustrated by the relationship between rotor angle/Eq and the stability boundary. An improved control strategy is proposed and applied to increase the CCT. Simulation results verify that improvement is obtained both in transient stability and dynamic performance.

Triblock copolymer polyNIMMO-HTPB-polyNIMMO was synthesized by cationic ring opening polymerization of NIMMO (3-nitratomethyl-3-methyloxetane) in the presence of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene catalyzed by BF3·OEt2. The polymer was characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy, and GPC. DSC was used to investigate the thermal behaviour of the triblock copolymer and its exothermic decomposition peak was found to be at 215 °C. All of the results indicated that the triblock copolymer polyNIMMO-HTPB-polyNIMMO might serve as a potential energetic propellant binder.

Buildup of magnetic mineral particles on matrices determines the saturated deposit volume of minerals, which is of great importance in the high gradient magnetic separation (HGMS) systems. In this paper buildup of fine weakly magnetic minerals on the matrix is studied with a force equilibrium model. Elaborate rules of particle buildup on the matrix are presented. An imaginary sector ring is used to approximately quantify the volume of saturated particle buildup. The influence of the particle size, magnetic induction, fluid viscosity and velocity as well as matrix size on saturated particle buildup is investigated and discussed. With the same matrix size, the saturated buildup volume decreases with the decrease of the particle size, applied magnetic induction and increase of the fluid viscosity and velocity. The saturated buildup volume normalized by the matrix volume, and the ratio of particle deposit volume to the matrix volume (Vd/Vm) decreases with the increase of the matrix size. Under the same matrices packing fraction, the total mineral deposit volume, when adopting small size matrices, is larger than that when adopting large size matrices. Only small size matrices can be used for recovery of minerals in size of several micrometers. Based on performed analyses, the ore feeding time in a cycle for a cyclic HGMS system and the rotation speed of the swivel for a continuous HGMS system under different circumstances are also discussed.

Due to the increased use of lightweight sheet materials, there has been a significant increase in the use of self-pierce riveting. This paper deals with the strength and fracture mechanism of single-lap self-pierce riveted joints. The online window technique was introduced in the single-lap self-pierce riveting processes for evaluating the quality of joints. Signals obtained from sensors were amplified and transferred to the data acquisition system which measures, processes and saves the signals. Monotonic tensile tests were carried out to measure the ultimate tensile strengths for the single-lap self-pierce riveted joints. For investigating the fracture mechanism of the single-lap self-pierce riveted joints, the electrolytic polishing and anode film coating were used for dealing with the cross-section. The differential interference contrast method was used for observing the micro-structure of the cross-section of the joints. The distribution of the hardness in the cross-section of the single-lap self-pierce riveted joints was also studied. The normal hypothesis tests were performed to examine the rationality of the test data.

This paper is devoted to studying the globally exponential stability of impulsive high-order Hopfield-type neural networks with time-varying delays. In the process of impulsive effect, nonlinear and delayed factors are simultaneously considered. A new impulsive differential inequality is derived based on the Lyapunov–Razumikhin method and some novel stability criteria are then given. These conditions, ensuring the global exponential stability, are simpler and less conservative than some of the previous results. Finally, two numerical examples are given to illustrate the advantages of the obtained results.

Environmental risks associated with Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, V and Zn in street dust collected from Baotou, a medium-sized industrial city in a semi-arid area of northwest China, were assessed by using enrichment factor and the potential ecological index. Their spatial distributions and sources in the dust were analyzed on the basis of geostatistical methods and multivariate statistical analysis, respectively. The results indicate that street dust in Baotou has elevated heavy metal concentrations, especially of Co, Cr, Cu, Pb and Zn. Co in the dust was significantly enriched. Cr and Pb were from moderate to significant enrichment. Cu and Zn were from minimal to moderate enrichment, whereas Mn, Ni and V in the dust were from deficient to minimal enrichment. The ecological risk levels of Co and Pb in the dust were moderate to considerable and low to moderate, respectively, whereas those of other heavy metals studied in the dust presented low ecological risk. Different distribution patterns were found among the analyzed heavy metals. Three main sources of these heavy metals were identified. Cr, Mn, Ni and V originated from nature and industrial activities. Cu, Pb and Zn derived mainly from traffic sources, and Co was mainly from construction sources.

In this paper, we investigate the implementation schemes of a single-scale wavelet transform processor using magnetostatic surface wave (MSSW) devices. There are three implementation schemes: the interdigital transducer, the meander line transducer and the grating transducer. Because the interdigital transducer has excellent properties, namely, good frequency characteristic and low insertion loss, we use the interdigital transducer as the implementation scheme of a single-scale wavelet transform processor using MSSW device. In the paper, we also present the solutions to the three key problems: the direct coupling between the input transducer and the output transducer, the insertion loss, and the loss characteristics of the gyromagnetic film having an influence on the wavelet transform processor. There are two methods of reducing the direct coupling between the input transducer and the output transducer: increasing the distance between the input transducer and the output transducer, and placing a metal "wall" between the input transducer and the output transducer. There also are two methods of reducing the insertion loss of a single-scale wavelet transform processor using a MSSW device for scale: the appropriate thickness of the yttrium iron garnet (YIG) film and the uniform magnetic field. The smaller the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth of the gyromagnetic film, the smaller the magnetostatic wave propagation loss.

Vertically well-aligned ZnO nanorods arrays were synthesized on sapphire substrates by chemical bath deposition. Those sapphire substrates were seeded to control the density and orientation of ZnO nanorods using sol-gel method. Well-aligned and uniformly distributed ZnO nanorods in a large scale were obtained with strongly (002) preferential orientation. The structural properties were characterized by X-ray diffraction spectrometer and morphological characteristics were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The ZnO nanorods are obvious hexangular wurtzite structure and preferentially oriented along the c-axis (002) and growth vertically to the substrates. The optical properties were further thoroughly studied. What is more, the influences of the strain between substrate and ZnO nanorods due to thickness of the ZnO seed-layer on the characteristics and optical properties of ZnO were also analyzed.

As a traffic engineering project across straits or gulfs, subsea tunnel is one of the oceaneering with great construction difficulties, and the key to the success of subsea tunnel engineering lies in timely and accurate assessment of the structure safety of subsea tunnel engineering construction and life-cycle. Xiang’an Xiamen subsea tunnel is China’s first subsea tunnel which crosses complex formation conditions, engineering accidents such as collapse, sudden inflow of water or mud might occur during tunnel construction and operation. Therefore, the concept of subsea tunnel life-cycle monitoring is proposed aiming at the particularity of subsea tunnels. The variation forms of subsea tunnel mainly include large deformation, collapse, primary support cracking, water leakage, water pressure increase, steel arch corrosion, concrete corrosion, longitudinal differential settlement, etc., and classification of the life-cycle safety monitoring levels of the subsea tunnel is conducted based on risk assessment theory and risk level management benchmark to determine the possible variation forms in the monitoring level segments. The research results will provide reference for the subsea tunnel life-cycle monitoring, disaster warning as well as risk management under construction or to be built at home and abroad.

The digital holographic phase microscopy (DHPM) technique which has been proposed for cellular morphology and dynamic analysis yielded highly desirable results. However, for nucleated cells (especially white blood cells (WBCs)), their submicroscopic structure has not yet been deconstructed through a phase unwrapping method due to the heterogeneity of an internal phase. By analyzing the phase heterogeneity of subclasses of WBCs, the typical phase models of them are built first in this paper; using the simulation method, the wrapped phase distributions of these models are obtained. However, by optimizing the wrapped phase maps and analyzing the relationships between them and typical blood cells, their features are selected and extracted. Then the models built are sorted out from each other successfully without unwrapping via analyzing these extracted features, which provides a valuable approach and technological base for the classification and identification of blood cells.

With the goal of decreasing the stress concentration along the hole boundary in an orthotropic plate under inequi-biaxial loadings, an optimum design of the fiber angle and hole orientation is presented. The maximum absolute tangential stress along the hole boundary is taken as the objective function, and the fiber orientation angle and the hole orientation angle are considered as design variables. The conformal transformation method of a complex function and the Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm are used. Two non-circular shapes, ellipse and hexagon are taken as examples to analyze the problem. Based on the results, we can conclude that the major axis of elliptical holes should be designed in the direction of the maximum external loading for a perforated structure in an orthotropic plate. However, the principal direction that has the larger Young’s modulus should be inclined to the direction of the minimum loading, especially for a significantly orthotropic plate.

The optical gradient force distributions in focal plane of cosh-Gaussian beams with sine-azimuthal variation wavefront and half space phase modulation were investigated. Results show that optical gradient force distributions can be affected considerably by the phase retardation of half-space phase modulation, of a phase parameter that indicates the phase change frequency on an increasing azimuthal angle, and beam parameters in cosh terms of the incident beams. Many gradient force patterns occur, including cross-shape, multiple optical trap arrays, multiple-trap wheel, and many kinds of gradient force lines and curves. Symmetry of the whole gradient force pattern can also be altered remarkably. Above results may find wide applications in optical trapping systems.

The solid solution crystals, $Bi_{4}(Ge_{x}Si_{1-x})_{3}O_{12}$ (BGSO) with x=0, 0.05, and 0.15, have been grown by the modified vertical Bridgman method. The as-grown crystals show 80% of transmittance with an absorption edge of 285 nm. The relative light yields of BGSO crystals are found to be 7.2%, 6.3%, and 4.2% of CsI(Tl) crystal for x=0, 0.05, and 0.15, respectively. The energy resolutions of these crystals are 18.9%, 21.3%, and 24.7%, respectively, with PMT for 662 keV gamma rays at room temperature when exposed to $\text{}^{137}Cs$ γ -ray. The scintillation performance of BGSO crystals clearly deteriorates with the increase of Ge content. However, the appropriate number of germanium ions doped to BSO crystal can improve its crystallization behavior and effectively restrain component segregation. It is expected that large size crystals of BGSO will be grown and applied to the dual readout calorimeter in the nearest future.
