Background Carpal Tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common medical condition that occurs when the median nerve is compressed at the carpal tunnel. In the general population, many are affected with CTS and mostly prone to females. This study aims to determine the level of awareness of CTS among dental professionals in India and Malaysia. Material and methods The cross-sectional study was carried out among dentists in India and Malaysian, from August 2020 to November 2020. 150 professional dentists with a minimum of one year of work experience were included in the study; dentists who worked full-time as academicians were excluded. The survey form was circulated using WhatsApp. The SPSS software package was used to analyze the data collected from the sample. Results Both Indian and Malaysian participants thought that the main symptom is tingling and numbness. Both groups stated that minimizing the stress on the wrist would prevent CTS. 100% of Malaysian participants thought that CTS could affect job performance, though those from Indian marked that it also affects social life and sleep. Conclusions The awareness of CTS among both Indian and Malaysian dentists was adequate. Furthermore, there is a strong correlation between CTS and chronic disease like rheumatoid arthritis.

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused massive infections and death toll. Radiological imaging in chest such as computed tomography (CT) has been instrumental in the diagnosis and evaluation of the lung infection which is the common indication in COVID-19 infected patients. The technological advances in artificial intelligence (AI) furthermore increase the performance of imaging tools and support health professionals. CT, Positron Emission Tomography – CT (PET/CT), X-ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Lung Ultrasound (LUS) are used for diagnosis, treatment of COVID-19. Applying AI on image acquisition will help automate the process of scanning and providing protection to lab technicians. AI empowered models help radiologists and health experts in making better clinical decisions. We review AI-empowered medical imaging characteristics, image acquisition, computer-aided models that help in the COVID-19 diagnosis, management, and follow-up. Much emphasis is on CT and X-ray with integrated AI, as they are first choice in many hospitals.

Opis:
Cadmium selenide (CdSe) thin films on glass substrates were prepared by physical vapour deposition under vacuum using the electron beam evaporated technique for different substrate temperatures: room temperature, 100, 200, 300°C, respectively. X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that the films are polycrystalline, having hexagonal (wurtzite) structure irrespective of their substrate temperature. All the films show most preferred orientation along (0 0 2) plane parallel to the substrates. The microstructural parameters such as particle size, stress, strain and dislocation density were calculated. The grain size of deposited CdSe films is small and is within the range of 18 to 42 nm. The optical absorption spectra of electrom beam deposited CdSe films were studied in the wavelength region of 250-2500 nm. The energy gap $(E_{g})$ values (allowed direct transitions), calculated from the absorption spectra, ranged between 1.77 and 1.92 eV. The surface morphological quality of electron beam evaporated CdSe films were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy.

This research study intends to develop an online tool condition monitoring system and to examine scientifically the effect of machining parameters on quality measures during machining SAE 1015 steel. it is accomplished by adopting a novel microflown sound sensor which is capable of acquiring sound signals. The dry turning experiments were performed by employing uncoated, TiAlN, TiAlN/WC-C coated inserts. The optimal cutting conditions and their influence on flank wear were determined and predicted value has been validated through confirmation experiment. During machining, sound signals were acquired using Ni DAQ card and statistical analysis of raw data has been performed. Kurtosis and I-Kaz coefficient was determined systematically. The correlation between flank wear and I-Kaz coefficient was established, which fits into power-law curve. The neural network model was trained and developed with least error (3.7603e-5). It reveals that the developed neural network can be effectively utilized with minimal error for online monitoring.
