    The increase in competitiveness between production enterprises results from the contemporary conditions of the global economy. Technical progress, globalization and constantly increasing customer requirements contribute to the development of organizational and business management techniques. The improvement of production is currently accompanied by modern tools and methods of Lean Manufacturing concepts such as: SMED, 5S, Kaiznen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke etc. The SMED method plays an important role in improving production processes. It also affects the reduction of losses and wastage, increase of value for stakeholders (especially for customers), as well as better motivation for employees. Thanks to the SMED method, the production company is able to achieve greater efficiency and productivity, as well as the high quality of products and services provided.

    Artykuł jest poświęcony logistyce przedsiębiorstwa w obliczu zmian wywołanych sytuacją kryzysową. Zawarto w nim informacje na temat podstawowej typologii strategii logistycznych oraz określono główne elementy składowe tych strategii. Przybliżono istotę zarządzania logistycznego, logistyki jako filozofii zarządzania oraz wskazano, czym jest strategia logistyczna i jaką może dać przewagę nad konkurencją. Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczny i poglądowy. Przedstawia istotny problem dotyczący powiązania decyzji w obszarze logistyki w sytuacji kryzysowej. W dobie pandemii i problemów wywołanych przez nią w obszarze decyzji strategicznych przedsiębiorstw jest to aktualny temat. Jako metodę badawczą zastosowano obserwację, analizę oraz syntezę. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie, iż podejmowane działania logistyczne powinny być zarówno ukierunkowane na potrzeby przedsiębiorstw, jak też zorientowane na wymagania płynące z rynku.
    The article presents the logistics of a company in the face of changes caused by a crisis situation. It provides information on the basic typology of logistics strategies and identifies the main components of these strategies. It presents the essence of logistics management, logistics as a management philosophy and what is a logistics strategy and what it can give an advantage over the competition. The article is theoretical and illustrative. It presents a significant problem from the point of connecting decisions in the area of logistics in a crisis situation. It is a topical topic in the era of a pandemic and the problems it causes in the area of strategic decisions of enterprises. Observation, analysis and synthesis methods were used as the research method. The aim of the article is to indicate that the undertaken logistic activities should be oriented both to the needs of enterprises and to the requirements of the market.

    Optimization of production logistics processes through the use of simulation tools brings a lot of benefits to a production company, and thus significantly reduces production costs. Increasing competition resulting from the use of production automation to increase productivity has increased the complexity of production systems that can only be analysed by simulation. Production logistics performs management functions such as planning, motivating, organising and controlling. It does not deal with technological processes, but the organisation of physical delivery and displacement of components and information in the system. An important feature of production logistics is combining supply logistics with distribution logistics. If the production logistics is properly organised, it provides access to all materials and components of a given product during the implementation of a specific order. Simulation tools ensure continuity and rhythm of production after it is started, as well as convenient conditions for using modern internal transport. The article presents the Flexsim simulation tool, which was used to improve production logistics in the studied enterprise. The programme also contributed as an opportunity to improve and shorten production cycles, maintain optimal inventories, select packaging and logistics units, as well as the ability to use automatic identification of raw materials, materials or semi-finished products.

    Opis:
    Purpose: Supply logistics in an enterprise is extremely important because regardless of the business profile, all enterprises purchase materials, semi-finished products, raw materials or various types of services on the market. Typically, the amount of purchased assortment is so large that it can be stated that the share of materials in the total costs of the company is significant. The indicator of a modern enterprise is the number of clients and their level of satisfaction, which is why quality is a key factor for each production company (Kuczyńska-Chałada, and Furman, 2016) and an important element of process improvement is also an aspect of work safety (Małysa et al., 2019). The purpose of this article is to show that the process of choosing a reliable supplier does not end with choosing the supplier that offers the lowest rates for materials, but other elements that should be considered when choosing a supplier. Design/methodology/approach: This is a research paper and the author presents the process of suppliers' qualification using the specified supplier evaluation criteria. Findings: Before writing the paper we put a hypothesis stating an important feature of the supplier should be flexibility and readiness to change, develop and implement new solutions, because the supplier should strive for the customer. Research limitations/implications: This is a research paper and the author utilized survey method. Practical implications: What criteria determine the selection of the best supplier for the enterprise.
