Opis:: Purpose: light of the research results presented in this article, the research results respond to the need to create the best conditions for the development of green economy in the Pszczyna poviat in the new perspectives of economic transformation based on one's own potential. Design/methodology: the research results presented in the article were obtained on the basis of a random-quota sample of 100 small, medium, large and large enterprises running his business activity in the area of the Pszczyna poviat. The respondents to the research were only people who own the enterprise or are responsible for its key directions of development. Findings: in the perspective of the conducted research, it seems that the decisive factors contributing to the vision of a green economy in the Pszczyna poviat – in a dynamically changing environment – is the strengthening of sustainable environmental development, in which the needs of the present generation can be satisfied without reducing the chances of future generations to meet them. Originality: the conclusions and recommendations of the study may be of importance to practitioners and researchers dealing with climate change mitigation, strategy implementation, public partnerships for sustainable development conducive to the well-being and quality of life of local communities.

Opis:: Purpose: On the basis of their own research, the authors of the article undertook to determine the factors determining future social and economic development and to develop recommendations for strengthening active economic, social and labour market policies in mining municipalities and districts in Poland – in the perspective of the "European Green Deal" plan and "Just Transition" Design/methodology: the results presented in the article were obtained on the basis of the implementation of questionnaire research, expert interviews, literature review, critical literature analysis, documentation analysis, statistical descriptive analysis. Findings: As a result of the analyses and surveys carried out, the article presents an extensive set of conclusions, the most important of which are those relating to social. The presented attempt of the prospective approach to the phenomena and processes which may result from the transformation of the hard coal mining in Poland is aimed at better understanding of the role which may be fulfilled in the future by the local self-government in the area of which the operating or disused mines and mining enterprises are located. Secondly which are related to the perspective of the hard coal mining transformation process, first of all showed terms the scale of challenges faced by mining municipalities. The indicated processes are nowadays dominated by the challenge of creating new ecological solutions of high quality both in the sphere of their social acceptance in the utilitarian dimension. It is a process that allows for a better understanding of the role of local government in the transformation process, which will probably take up, in a fragmentary way, economic, social and environmental challenges resulting from the contemporary development of economy based on knowledge and determined by the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Originality: the findings and recommendations of the study may become relevant for practitioners and researchers dealing with climate change mitigation, strategy implementation, cross-sectoral partnerships and sustainable development of transformed areas.

Opis:: Considerations presented in this article are aimed at giving an answer to the following research question – Which elements of universities’ marketing activity influence the acquisition of students the most? The presented research question arises from the goal defined for the research which involved finding clues concerning the way of conducting marketing activities enabling the acquisition of a number of new students satisfying the strategy of a university. Additionally, the answer to the question formulated this way will be juxtaposed with new reality of the functioning of universities in Poland, which is associated with changes introduced by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in the academic year 2016/2017. Own research was conducted on the group of almost all people (96%) who started studying at the Faculty of Sports and Tourism Management of the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice in the academic year 2016/2017. The obtained data show that among the marketing activities conducted by universities, promotion was the strongest incentive encouraging students to choose a particular university.
Przedstawione w niniejszym artykule rozważania zmierzają do udzielenia odpowiedzi na pytanie badawcze, które brzmi: jakie elementy działalności marketingowej uczelni wyższych w największym stopniu wpływają na pozyskiwanie studentów? Przedstawione pytanie badawcze jest konsekwencją celu, jaki został postawiony przed badaniem, którym było uzyskanie wskazówek dotyczących sposobu prowadzenia działań marketingowych, umożliwiających pozyskanie liczby nowych studentów odpowiadającej strategii uczelni. Dodatkowo odpowiedź na tak postawione pytanie badawcze zestawiona zostanie z nowymi realiami funkcjonowania uczelni wyższych w Polsce, które związane są ze zmianami wprowadzonymi przez Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego w roku akademickim 2016/2017. Badania własne przeprowadzone zostały wśród prawie wszystkich osób (96%), które w roku akademickim 2016/2017 rozpoczęły studia na Wydziale Zarządzania Sportem i Turystyką Akademii Wychowania Fizycznego w Katowicach. Uzyskane dane pokazują, że wśród realizowanych przez uczelnie działań marketingowych studentów do podjęcia decyzji o wyborze uczelni i wydziału w największym stopniu skłaniała promocja.

Celem kodeksu jest dostarczenie osobom zarządzającym bezpieczeństwem i jakością żywności oraz pracownikom sprawującymi nadzór nad zakładami przetwórstwa rybnego wskazówek, interpretacji i wytycznych dotyczących dobrych praktyk produkcyjnych i higienicznych wynikających z przepisów prawnych dotyczących bezpieczeństwa żywności, w szczególności żywności pochodzenia wodnego. Kodeks, w zależności od potrzeb, może również służyć jako materiał wykorzystywany w szkoleniu technologów żywności na różnym poziomie nauczania.

Opis:: The article refers to a broader context of scientific debates on the effect of climate warming on shifts in species ranges and describes the recent changes in the distribution and life strategy of Hedera helix close to its eastern limit, in light of climate changes. European ivy is an ecotone species, occurring in fringe communities, in deciduous and mixed deciduous forests in fresh and moist habitats that are occupied by oak-hornbeam and riparian alder-ash forests in Central Poland. Since the mid-20th century, the ivy, a species rarely reproducing generatively, has become an expansive plant with a growing number of sites where flowering and fruiting individuals are encountered. We studied the distribution, habitat requirements and flowering of H. helix in Central Poland in the years 2015–2017 and compared to the situation in the mid-1970s. Climate changes in terms of average air temperatures and precipitation amounts for the past four decades were also assessed. Within the study area, 474 stands of naturally growing Hedera have recently been identified. Ivy was found to reproduce generatively on 121 of those locations. There has been an almost 10-fold increase in the number of fruiting ivy specimens since the mid-1970s of the 20th century. Changes in the species life strategy can be ascribed to the increase in both average air temperatures and solar radiation intensity observed for the past decades. Both enhanced fragmentation of woodland tracts and development of forest ecotones and forest canopy openings promote the expansion of H. helix, while its habitat preferences remain unchanged.
