In the context of current integration of EU member states the author makes an attempt at examining whether assisting moral quality of European integration by ecumenical Christian communities and churches would or not constitute making their ecumenical aspirations more profound. For, on the one hand, they remain the only institutional organism capable of such moral actions and at the same time in a way called for the good of EU communities; on the other hand, their mutual engagement from the perspective of evaluation of moral quality of EU member states integration would allow not only to contribute to achieving integration aims of the western-European societies, but also – in a way simultaneously – laying more solid grounds for the created through integrated moral actions Ecumenical community.

W kontekście opublikowanego w 2005 r. osobistego dziennika Yves Congara OP (1904–1995), datowanego na lata 1946–1956, autor artykułu podnosi kwestię mistycznej samotności teologa w jego refleksji naukowej nad słowem objawionym. Ukazuje, że doświadczenie osamotnienia mistyka w Kościele katolickim przez Y. Congara i doznanego pewnego niezrozumienia ze strony jego społeczności hierarchicznej wobec prezentowanych przez siebie wyników badań teologicznych dotyczących eklezjologii, nie będąc wyłącznym udziałem piszącego Journal d’un théologien, zdaje się stanowić nieodłączną charakterystykę wszystkich czyniących refleksję nad słowem objawionym, jeżeli tylko podejmują próbę pogłębionego jego rozumienia jako Słowa, które przemawia w ludzkim „dziś”. Autor rozważań proponuje usytuowanie rozumienia Congarowego problemu w perspektywie miejsca i roli teologa w Kościele, a więc pozostającego w szczególnym mistycznym i teologicznym oraz teologicznie twórczym „twarzą w twarz” wobec Słowa w jego wydarzaniu się w człowieczej rzeczywistości, następujących ludzkich pokoleń.
In the context of the published in 2005 personal diary of Yves Congar O.P. (1904 – 1995), dated from 1946 – 1956, the author of the article raises a question of mystical solitude of the theologian in his scientific reflection on the word revealed. The mystic’s isolation and alienation experienced by Congar in the Catholic Church as well as his hierarchical community’s incomprehension regarding the findings of his theological research are not feelings exclusive to the author of Journal d’un théologien. On the contrary, they seem to constitute an inherent characteristic of all those giving thought to the word revealed, those who attempt to reach its profound meaning as the Word which appeals to people of today. The author of the reflection proposes to approach Congar’s problem taking into consideration the perspective of a theologian’s role and place in the Church – with him recognized as being in a specific, mystical and theologically creative ‘face to face’ with the Word in its human reality of successive generations.

In the context of the present ecumenical dialogue as well as the division of Christendom or its trivial acceptance, the author analyses various ways to overcome the lack of the in-depth dialogue among ecumenical communities and churches in the present spiritual situation of the postmodernity and challenges of globalization. The author does it through a new understanding of missionary in the reception of human oikoumene in a sense of associations of civilizations as cultural forms of Christendom. Consequently he is able to intelligibly grasp ecumenism as it is understood in the Gospel – in its direct sense of the New Testament term of hē oikouménē (“the whole inhabited world”).

In the context of the upcoming celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and modern epistemological dilemmas of the present postmodernity, the author shall submit the question of the reality of ecumenical dialogue. How far, basing on the state of scientific knowledge concerning medieval Christendom, the University and the scholastic method, the influence of oriental Hellenistic culture on the education of the ideological foundations of modernity and based on new discoveries on Aquinas concept of theology and historical-critical method, the Churches of the ecumenical dialogue are able to verify the foundation of Martin Luther’s theological position and make real progress in theology? Are they able to make progress in ecumenical dialogue in the imperative of diagnosis of the theologian faith in the faith of the Church of Christ and the Church of the Holy Spirit?
W kontekście nadchodzących obchodów 500-lecia reformacji i współczesnych dylematów epistemologicznych obecnej postmoderności autor przedkłada kwestię realiów dialogu ekumenicznego. Na ile w oparciu o stan wiedzy naukowej dotyczącej mediewalnej Christianitas, Uniwersytetu i metody scholastycznej, wpływu orientalnej kultury hellenistycznej na wykształcenie się zrębów ideowych nowożytności oraz w oparciu nowe odkrycia w sprawie Akwinatowej koncepcji teologii i metody historyczno-krytycznej Kościoły dialogu ekumenicznego są w stanie zweryfikować fundacyjne stanowisko teologiczne Marcina Lutra i poczynić realny postęp teologiczny? Na ile są w stanie poczynić postęp w ekumenicznym dialogu w imperatywie rozpoznania wiary teologa w wierze Kościoła Chrystusa i Kościoła Ducha Świętego?

Sans doute l’événement majeur qui s’est produit dans la théologie catholique de XX siècle passé est-il l’oeuvre du Vatican II. Auteur essaye de démontrer qu’il faut le faire continuer dans le changement survenu d’un démi-siècle après le concil du Vaticanum Secundum au sein des sociétés modernes de l’Europe, engagées en voie de l‘integration européenne au sein de l’Union Européenne – d’une part de la transformation globale du monde d’aujourd’hui, et d’autre part des transformations de l’Europe aux niveaux sociales, économiques et politiques après le chut de l’idéologie communiste. Auteur démontre que la réflexion théologique ne peut se faire sans réflexion sur l’aujourd’hui de l’homme dans la société qui se fait d’aujourd’hui dans les traits très concrèts.

The author discusses the unique nature of Polish emigrations in the multifarious migratory history of the European West, and the presence of the Polish diaspora in Western societies. In the context of epistemological dilemmas of the current postmodernism, the author addresses the issue of analogy between theology and faith in statu scientiae of the Aquinas. Since theology as a science acquired the status of a scientific discipline in the same way as all other disciplines in the criteria epistemological Aristotle, the problem of explaining the enigmatic stigma of theology is an important step of progress for the whole of the European science being institutionalized disinterested studying of reality to the ultimate causes of physis of reality and Universum and at the same time of the meaning of the Word manifested in the creation, together with its staging in the history of humanity in the Event of Jesus Christ.

In the context today’s postmodernist undermining the identity of the human person, which determines the dramatic state of the Western-European intellectual culture (and humanities in general), the author weighs the question of man as a project or a coincidence. He refers to the Platonian concept of the world of shadows. In this context he discusses the question of man (a project? a coincidence?) who transcends the Nature (Physis) and, with the power of his spirit, „produces” the world which takes innumerable, new historical dimensions.

In view of the contemporary integration of the EU member states and in the context of the fast globalizing world of today, the author raises the issue of civilizational backwardness, which by the political and intellectual representatives of the Western world (and hence its societies) is widely identified with the notions of post-totalitarian and postcommunist Central and Eastern European societies, and thus with the Polish society and those practising theology in the Catholic Church in Poland at the beginning of the 21st century. In the first part of his reflection, the author postulates defining the civilizational 'youngerness' with respect to the evident relativity of the idea of civilizational backwardness in the historical perspective, especially taking into consideration the ever-changing political, cultural and civilizational domination in Europe. Later on he outlines the hope which he cherishes towards those practising theology and reflecting upon the evangelical message, who bring it into effect through their faith and spread it on in their communities in local churches of the Catholic Church in Poland. Those faith communities, with their morally creative members, stem from the tradition of Polish social, philosophical and theological thought, shaped in the course of the vicissitudes that the Polish society and the country itself underwent due to Poland's specific location on the border between the European East and West.

Odpowiedzi na pytanie zawarte w temacie udzielono w trzech etapach. W pierwszym scharakteryzowano kwestię globalizacji. W drugim zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę dokonania właściwego rozróżnienia w ramach analizy stanu ludzkich społeczności, które podlegają procesom globalizacyjnym. W ramach trzeciego etapu zarysowano możliwość przezwyciężenia bezradności ideologicznych wizji odnoszących się do kwestii społecznych, które dotyczą dokonujących się tzw. społeczno‑ekologicznych procesów mondializacyjnych.
In the context of the current 21st century globalization processes, the author raises the significance of reflection articulated on the part of the post‑communist and post‑totalitarian communities, the integrating European Union and its member states. This importance stems from the necessity to consider contemporary integration processes from all angles, and not to concentrate only on the intellectual vision of both the European and American West, so apparently permeated with one‑sidedness of interpretation. As it seems, the intellectuals of the West fail to notice the gravity of the fact that secular equivalents of religiousness, which are totalitarianism and western consumer capitalism, have become a mere caricature of human aspirations and ideals, thus distorting intellectual bases of consecutive stages of globalization. The reflection of the article has been contained in three parts. In its first part the author characterises the rising topicality of globalization. Next, he raises the necessity to differentiate between various human communities in the analyses on the current stage of globalization processes. Thus, he recognizes the importance to identify different stages of human communities’ historical development, which due to an enormous progress in technology had to face the reality of globalization. Last but not least, the author attempts to outline the possibilities to overcome ideological helplessness concerning the issue of socio‑ecological problems resulting from the globalization processes in the continental diversity of cultural religious local communities.
