Opis:: In this contribution, we deal with the problems of the drama culture in the Spiš region from the historical point of view. We try to outline complex picture of certain historical results from the history of drama, from the 14th century to present times, through reinterpretation of several works of experts (theatrologist, art creators, office workers of professional theatres as well as the information from the historical works), which deal with mentioned problems, at least partly.

Opis:: In the contribution we outline dramatics and activities of members of Jednota mládeže slovenskej (Union of Slovak Youth) in Levoča. In the national consciousness processes and in the struggle for a new society, followers of Ludovit Stur (so-called “štúrovci”) attributed great importance to theatre. The then Slovak playwright (J. Chalupka) and the other nation’s amusing type of drama (e. g. V. K. Klicpera, A. Kotzebue, K. Kisfaludy) were typical for their drama creation. Revolutionary years of 1848/49 caused termination of drama activities at The Spis region and ending of this important period. We outline the image of particular drama productions (from 1845 to 1847) realized by amateurs in Levoča.

The Spiš region that has aroused creation and buildng of theatre
Opis:: Theatre culture in The Spiš region in the 19thcentury has its rich tradition that has aroused creation and construction of some Theatre buildings. In the contribution, we focus on three of them. Theatre buildings in Smolnik, in Levoča and Spišska Nova Ves were always primarily intended to theatre production. Theatre building in Smolnik, built in 1806, was the first in The Spiš region in the 19th centruy, whilst The City Theatre in Levoča was opened not until 1854 and The Spiš Theatre in Spišská Nová Ves even in 1902. Nowadays some of theatre houses continue in their activities, we mean mainly The Spiš Theatre in Spišská Nová Ves and The City Theatre in Levoča, we can take note certain activities also in Kežmarok.

Opis:: The contribution focuses on the possibilities of applying the elements of music education within the theory and practice of drama education in the education of undergraduate students – the future elementary and secondary school teachers. Implementation of music education to the subject of Drama education in the study programme ‘Teaching comprehensive subjects’ allows the participants: a) learn how to use the aforementioned educational art subjects as the possibility to create a positive atmosphere in the classroom by creative education; b) activate students in educational process. The theoretical part of the paper is illustrated by the examples from the educational practice compiled by the authoresses.
