    Opis:
    This study presents the issue of the expansion of the People’s Republic of China and the risks associated with it. Chinese expansionism is presented not only in the context of effects but also by showing its causes. The reasons, mainly ideological, are an important (and often overlooked) element of the China’s international activity. In the economic context, expansionism is manifested in the acquisition (including through pressure on foreign enterprises) of foreign know-how. The study also points out problems in bilateral relations (China‒US). The implementation of Chinese assumptions led to a trade dispute between these two countries nevertheless it has not ended yet despite the signing of a trade agreement called Phase 1 Agreement or Phase 1 Deal. The causes of bilateral conflict still exist and it may lead to further disputes between China and the US. This could affect the whole world even leading to the New Cold War in which the USSR will be replaced by China.

    Celem artykułu jest ukazanie przyczyn powstania oraz głównych założeń nowego wymiaru marksizmu (zwanego marksizmem kulturowym lub neomarksizmem). Pomimo pewnej przemiany istota tej ideologii pozostaje niezmienna, a jest nią dążenie do ustanowienia materialistycznej i totalitarnej dyktatury. Dzisiejszy świat jawi się jako zdominowany przez komunizm, w tej czy innej formie. Zastanawiające jest, że tezy będące w istocie marksistowskimi są dziś postrzegane jako niemające z marksizmem żadnego związku. Z kolei społeczność międzynarodowa podejmuje szeroką współpracę z Chińską Republiką Ludową. Skoro komunizm dąży do ustanowienia totalitarnej dyktatury, a świat współczesny jest przez komunizm zdominowany, to czy zmierzamy ku niewolniczej przyszłości?
    The object of this article is to show the reasons for the emergence and the basic assumptions of the new dimension of Marxism (referred to as the cultural Marxism or neo-Marxism). Despite its certain transformation, the essence of the ideology remains unchanged, namely its pursuit to establish a materialistic and totalitarian dictatorship. The world today appears to be dominated by communism, in one form or another. It is thought-provoking that the theses, which are in fact Marxist, are seen today as having no connection with Marxism. Likewise, the international community undertakes extensive cooperation with China (the People’s Republic of China). Since communism moves towards the establishment of a totalitarian dictatorship, and the modern world is dominated by communism, are we heading towards a servile future?

    The study deals with a phenomenon of responsibility. It distinguishes between natural responsibility and moral responsibility or legal responsibility (liability). The central intention of the text is to reveal that responsibility does not refer only to moral or legal dimensions. The natural responsibility is greater (more important) than the moral responsibility or legal one. What is more, both the moral responsibility and the legal responsibility are changeable. The natural responsibility instead, is constant and concerns all the mankind in the same way.

    Obtained benzimidazole derivatives, our next synthesized heterocyclic compounds, belong to a new group of chemical bondings with potential anticancer properties (Błaszczak-Świątkiewicz & Mikiciuk-Olasik, 2006, J Liguid Chrom Rel Tech 29: 2367-2385; Błaszczak-Świątkiewicz & Mikiciuk-Olasik, 2008, Wiad Chem 62: 11-12, in Polish; Błaszczak-Świątkiewicz & Mikiciuk-Olasik, 2011, J Liguid Chrom Rel Tech 34: 1901-1912). We used HPLC analysis to determine stability of these compounds in 0.2% DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide). Optimisation of the chromatographic system and validation of the established analytical method were performed. Reversed phases (RP-18) and a 1:1 mixture of acetate buffer (pH 4.5) and acetonitrile as a mobile phase were used for all the analysed compounds at a flow rate 1.0 mL/min. The eluted compounds were monitored using a UV detector, the wavelength was specific for compounds 6 and 9 and compounds 7 and 10. The retention time was specific for all four compounds. The used method was found to have linearity in the concentration range of (0.1 mg/mL-0.1 μg/mL) with a correlation coefficient not less than r2=0.9995. Statistical validation of the method proved it to be a simple, highly precise and accurate way to determine the stability of benzimidazole derivatives in 0.2% DMSO. The recoveries of all four compounds examined were in the range 99.24-100.00%. The developed HPLC analysis revealed that the compounds studied remain homogeneous in 0.2% DMSO for up to 96 h and that the analysed N-oxide benzimidazole derivatives do not disintegrate into their analogues - benzimidazole derivatives. Compounds 8, 6 and 9 exhibit the best cytotoxic properties under normoxic conditions when tested against cells of human malignant melanoma WM 115.
