Opis:
We consider striking connections between the theory of homogenous isotropic Heisenberg ring (XXX-model) and algebraic number theory. We explain the nature of these connections especially applications of Galois theory for computation of the spectrum of the Heisenberg operators and Bethe parameters. The solutions of the Heisenberg eigenproblem and Bethe Ansatz generate interesting families of algebraic number fields. Galois theory yields additional symmetries which not only simplify the analysis of the model but may lead to new applications and horizons.

The article deals with experimental investigations of a prototype double multi-leaf spring, compound of a fourleaf main spring and a double-leaf supporting spring subjected to an impact test. In real conditions of car movement (e.g. curb, bump), dynamic oscillating loads, which generate dynamic stress in a car suspension affecting other elements of the car, occur. Consequently, effects of coupled oscillations having a great impact on comfort of a driver and passengers can be observed. The research was conducted in the Laboratory of Material and Construction Strength Department of Mechanics and Applied Computer Science (DMACS) in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Military University of Technology. The experiment was carried out on an original construction of a spring impact hammer developed in DMACS. Energy of the impact was set up by changing mass of a beam with beater and beam dropping height. The results were presented in the form of table summaries, time-dependent load and displacement graphs. The methodology of the research presented in the paper and a set of measuring equipment can be utilized to evaluate load and vibrations of any multi-leaf spring under impact load with given energy. The experimental results obtained from the test are supposed to be used to verify and develop FEM model describing a spring under impact load and oscillations.

Opis:
Contemporarily designed, new polymer concrete-like composites are increasingly often used in construction, particularly where high chemical resistance of the material is important. However, their widespread use is limited, mainly due to the cost of resin binders used. This is a significant problem, especially in a situation where it is necessary to obtain elements of a substantial volume. One solution to this inconvenience is to develop lighter concrete. The article presents a lightweight resin mortar obtained by substitution of sand with expanded perlite. Thanks to its properties, this aggregate allows for the production of a material with a more porous structure, which is highlighted by the received SEM photos. The binder in the mortars was epoxy resin, hardened with triethylenetetramine. The results of the tests carried out allow us to conclude that despite the significant reduction of strength parameters of mortar, we can obtain a material with lower weight, good chemical resistance and low water absorption, and characterized by significant thermal insulation. This type of composites can be used, among others, as cores in sandwich panels.

In this study are presented the results of the simulation tests of the friction pairs occurring between the spring leaves while considering a condition of the mating surfaces and an impact of the velocity of their mutual dislocation on the values of the friction coefficients. It has been proposed a methodology in respect of a determination of the coefficients of the static and kinetic friction. Two kinds of the specimens have been prepared for the tests, which have been cut out from a spring leaf of the prototype spring – they have created the model friction pairs. The condition of the specimen surface and their selected mechanical properties have been evaluated. During the experimental tests have been considered: four sliding velocities, four variants of the surface conditions and two values of the normal load. The tests of the friction pairs have been performed at the laboratory stand for measuring the friction force. The results of the tests have been presented in a form of the time courses of friction force, graphs and tabular summaries of the friction coefficients. It has been conducted a comparative analysis of the results in order to determine an influence of the test results on the values of the determined friction coefficients. The proposed research conditions are approximate to the typical operating conditions of the road vehicles.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań symulacyjnych węzłów tarcia występujących pomiędzy piórami resoru, z uwzględnieniem stanu powierzchni współpracujących oraz wpływu prędkości ich wzajemnego przemieszczania, na wartości współczynników tarcia. Zaproponowano metodykę wyznaczania współczynników statycznych i kinetycznych tarcia. Do badań przygotowano dwa rodzaje próbek, które wycięto z pióra resoru prototypowego - tworzyły one modelowe pary cierne. Oceniono stan powierzchni próbek i wybrane właściwości mechaniczne. W badaniach eksperymentalnych uwzględniono: cztery prędkości poślizgu, cztery warianty stanu powierzchni oraz dwie wartości obciążenia normalnego. Badania par ciernych wykonano na stanowisku laboratoryjnym do pomiaru siły tarcia. Wyniki badań przedstawiono w postaci przebiegów czasowych siły tarcia, wykresów i zestawień tabelarycznych współczynników tarcia. Wykonano analizę porównawczą wyników w celu określenia wpływu warunków badań, na wartości wyznaczonych współczynników tarcia. Zaproponowane warunki badań są zbliżone do typowych warunków eksploatacyjnych pojazdów drogowych.

In design practice, in most of cases, stresses and deformations of structures with nominal dimensions and average material properties were analyzed. It have been concluded that such procedure is most often sufficient. However, there are design solutions, especially in high-effort structures for example aircraft and turbine engines, where scatter of geometrical dimensions consistent with assumed tolerances cause significant scatter of stresses and strains, differ from values coming from nominal dimensions. Scatter of these values have essential influence on service life of presented structures. Example of such effect is described in the paper. There were used FEM analyses to determination of scatter of stresses and stres s concentration coefficient in herringbone lock joint of K-15 engine's turbine. Another example of fault impact on stresses in structure is analysis of undercarriage element with material fault. Both these examples indicate on great sensitivity of stress distribution on manufacturing imperfections. The impact of these faults and imperfections reaches hundreds of per cent, and in some cases could be serious menace of operating safety. In structures with the multiple 3D stress state, non-linear geometric and material phenomena, with contact between friction-affected elements, any geometric imperfections can cause considerable local changes in the stress and strain.

In this work we suggest a rigorous mathematical approach for explanation of singular solutions of Bethe Ansatz by means of Robinson complex hypernumbers. There are several approaches towards these singular solutions eg. formal infinitesimals or germs of meromorphic functions. Our aim is to make them precise using non-standard analysis and show that they are essentially equivalent.

The polymer membranes containing 18 wt% of cellulose acetate and different amounts of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as a cross-linker agent were used in the process of iron and copper ions removal from liquid phase. Depending on the content of PVP (changed from 1 to 4 wt.%) the membrane surfaces were characterised by different hydrophilic character and showed the dominant presence of surface oxygen-containing groups of acidic character. Irrespectively of the concentrations of solvents from which the metal ions had to be removed, the membranes showed better ability to remove Fe3+ ions than Cu2+ ones, and the membrane resistances decreased with increasing content of PVP. After the filtrations of solutions with iron ions the flux recovery ratio took rather high values; this ratio increased with increasing PVP content in the membrane.

Rurociągom do przesyłania wody pitnej stawiane są szczególne wymagania nie tylko w okresie eksploatacji ale także w czasie układania rurociągu i w trakcie trwania prac montażowych. Do wytwarzania rur do instalacji zimnej i gorącej wody stosowany jest sieciowany polietylen, oznaczany PE-X. Najnowszą tendencją jest wytwarzanie rur trójwarstwowych, przy czym warstwa zewnętrzna spełnia, zasadniczo, rolę ochronną. W rezultacie, otrzymuje się rury trójwarstwowe o warstwie zewnętrznej i wewnętrznej wykonanej z PE typ 100 RC w kolorze niebieskim oraz warstwie wewnętrznej wykonanej z PE 100 RC w kolorze czarnym. W artykule zredagowanym w firmie SPYRA Primo Poland w Mikołowie (woj. śląskie) przedstawiono trójwarstwowe rury z PE oraz wyniki badań wybranych właściwości tych rur. Badania wykonano wg PN-EN 12201-2:2004 Systemy przewodów rurowych z tworzyw sztucznych do przesyłania wody - Polietylen (PE) Część 2.
Pipelines for potable water have to meet specific requirements not only during their exploitation time but also during the whole time of the pipe-laying and assembling works. Cross linked polyethylene marked as PE-X is used for production of pipes for cold and hot water system. The newest trends is manufacturing of three-layer pipes with the external layer basically playing a role of protecting layer. As a result three-layer pipes of external and internal layer made of PE type 100 RC in blue colour and the middle layer made of PE type 100 RC in black colour are obtained. In the article by SPYRA Primo Poland in Mikołów (Silesia region) three-layer PE pipes were presented together with test results of selected properties of these pipes. Tests were performed according to PN-EN 12201-2:2004 Plastic pipelines systems for water transport - Polyethylene (PE) Part 2.

We consider the dispersion of energy levels for both standard and inverted quantum harmonic oscillators in the presence of a uniform electromagnetic field. For this analysis we use a solution of the corresponding eigenproblem in terms of the Kummer functions. We find a complete description of the energy levels for a particle of mass m and electric charge q subject to the action of a harmonic oscillator and simultaneous uniform magnetic and electric fields. We also analyze the effect of spin on energy levels for an electron.

The subject of the paper are forced vibrations of the rear suspension of the biaxial vehicle fitted with the double spring spatial shell model and the viscous damper, under the force pulse input with the given transient response. The play between the master and auxiliary spring is a specific feature of the double spring design [1, 6]. Numerical tests were taken for three variants of the viscous attenuation. The attenuation coefficient values for typical dependent suspensions and their range of changes were assumed on the basis of publication [14]. The problem of modelling and analysing, including contact issues, was solved with the use of the MSC Software programme package with the special use of MSC Patran pre-processor [12]. The numerical analysis of the suspension model with the geometrical nonlinearities, viscous attenuation, and time-varying load was taken with the use of the finite element method (FEM). The selected results of the model tests in the form of the suspension relative displacements (speeds) and deformations (stresses) for the selected points of the master and auxiliary spring against time are presented in the paper. The complete model of the suspension system makes possible to examine the influence of various inputs on the interoperation and the phenomena associated with the dynamic response of such a complex system.

Właściwie dobrane charakterystyki podwozia pozwalają minimalizować obciążenia występujące w podzespołach układu podwozia podczas jego pracy w momencie przyziemienia. W związku z tym wykonuje się analizy dynamiczne podwozi, aby przewidzieć ich zachowanie się w warunkach dla nich niebezpiecznych. Przeprowadzenie tego typu badań z wykorzystaniem metod numerycznych jest znacznie łatwiejsze i tańsze od prób stanowiskowych. W pracy omawiana jest metodyka modelowania podwozia głównego i procedury doboru parametrów opisujących rzeczywistą strukturę badanego układu. W celu określenia właściwości materiałowych elementów składowych układu podwozia definiowane są sprężyste i nieliniowe charakterystyki materiałowe. W modelu numerycznym MES uwzględniono następujące zagadnienia: kontakt pomiędzy współpracującymi częściami układu, zjawisko pochłaniania energii w amortyzatorze gazowo-cieczowym zastosowanym w podwoziu, oddziaływanie gruntu na odkształcalną oponę podczas przyziemienia. Wybrane wyniki analizy numerycznej odpowiadające przypadkowi maksymalnych obciążeń podwozia podczas przyziemienia na 3 punkty z maksymalną dopuszczalną prędkością pionową będą omawiane wraz z wynikami testów stanowiskowych. Prezentowana w pracy analiza jest pierwszą częścią badań numerycznych trwałości podwozia lotniczego.
Properly adjusted characteristics enable minimisation of loads that occur in the landing-gear components at the moment of touchdown. Therefore, dynamic analyses of the landing gear are conducted to provide capabilities to forecast their behaviour under hazardous conditions. This kind of investigation with numerical methods applied is much easier and less expensive than stand tests. However, the development of the landing gear FEM models is necessary. Methodology of the main landing gear numerical models developing and procedures of parameters selection for the real structure features representation is discussed in the paper. The nonlinear physical material properties were precisely defined. To describe material properties of all mechanical components of the landing gear, a materials chart describing parameters for the elastic range was used. In FEM model the following matters were taken into consideration: contact problems between collaborating elements, the phenomena of energy absorption by gas-liquid damper placed in the landing gear and the response of the landing gear during touchdown of a flexible wheel with the ground. Chosen results of the numerical analysis for the maximum load of the gear considered, corresponding to an aircraft's 3-point landing at maximum decline speed allowed have been compared to experimental research's results. The analysis presented in this paper is the first part of wider considerations concerning numerical assessment of landing gear life.

A double spring used in the vehicle suspension, as a combination of spring elements of characteristics close to linear ones, actually provides non-linear suspension characteristics. Due to requirements for the truck suspension being designed, the spring characteristics in the whole range of load changes should meet the vehicle motion smoothness related to keeping the frequency of own suspension vibrations within a range of l-2 Hz [8, l0]. A prototype double spring made of a four-leaf main spring and two- leaf auxiliary spring (Fig. 1) makes a subject of considerations. Characteristic features of that structural solution includes a clearance between the main spring and the auxiliary spring. This work presents the results of numerical tests for three models of MES double spring [23] that were compared with experimental test results. An evaluation of usability of individual numerical models was made for representation of a double spring characteristics, contact between individual leaves and regular stress in the main leaf (the so-called safety leaf). The smallest differences between the stress results obtained from numerical tests compared to the laboratory tests, for the beam and shell models, have been obtained only for one extreme main (longest) leaf.

Opis:
Scissor bridges are characterized by high mobility and modular structure. A single module-span consists of two spanning parts of the bridge; two main trucks and the support structure. Pin joints are used between modules of the single bridge span. Some aspects of the experimental test and numerical analysis of the scissor-AVLB type bridge operation are presented in this paper. Numerical analyses, presented here, were carried out for the scissors-type BLG bridge with treadways extended as compared to the classical bridge operated up to the present in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. A structural modification of this kind considerably affects any changes in the effort of the force transmitting structure of the bridge. These changes may prove to be disadvantageous to the whole structure because of torsional moments that additionally load the treadways. Giving careful consideration to such operational instances has been highly appreciated because of the possibility of using this kind of bridges while organizing the crossing for vehicles featured with various wheel/track spaces (different from those used previously). The BLG bridge was numerically analysed to assess displacements and distributions of stresses throughout the bridge structure in different loading modes. Because of the complexity of the structure in question and simplifications assumed at the stage of constructing geometric and discrete models, the deformable 3D model of the scissors-type bridge needs verification. Verification of the reliability of models was performed by comparing deflections obtained in the different load modes that corresponded with tests performed on the test stand. It has been shown that the examined changes in conditions of loading the treadways of the bridge are of the greatest effect to the effort of the area of the joint which is attached to the girder bottom. Stress concentrations determined in the analysis are not hazardous to safe operation of the structure.

Dynamic analyses of a transport aircraft landing gear are conducted to determine the effort of such a complex system and provide capabilities to predict their behaviour under hazardous conditions. This kind of investigation with the use of numerical methods implementation is much easier and less expensive than stand tests. Various 3D models of the landing gear part are defined for the multistage static FE analysis. A complete system of the main landing gear was mapped as a deformable 3D numerical model for dynamic analysis with the use of LS-Dyna code. In this 3D deformable FE model, developed in a drop test simulation, the following matters were taken into consideration: contact problems between collaborating elements, the phenomena of energy absorption by a gas-liquid damper placed in the landing gear and the response of the landing gear during the touchdown of a flexible wheel with the ground. The results of numerical analyses for the selected drop tests and the results from the experiments carried out on a real landing gear were used for verification of FE models and a methodology of the landing gear dynamics analysis. The results obtained from the various simulations of the touchdown have proved the effectiveness of the 3D numerical model and how many problems can be solved in the course of only one numerical run, e.g. geometric and material nonlinearities, a question of contact between the mating components, investigation of the landing gear kinematics, investigation of the energy dissipation problem in the whole system and the stresses influence on the structure behaviour, which can appear in some elements due to overload.

Opis:
Numerical research in the field of collaboration of basic components and entire constructional solutions is much cheaper than managing a goods production and testing them in actual conditions. Numerical research allows determining essential modifications of a product being prepared from the functional, utilitarian and technological point of view. Considering the problem to be solved, the blood flows through the area limited by the sides of apiston, syringe and needle were analyzed. Pressure arises after the initiation of the piston's move and the blood flows as a result of the difference in pressures. The blood flows from the areas with higher pressure to the ones with lower pressure. The numerical research focused on analysis of the boundary conditions influence on the arrangement of the velocity and blood pressure in a syringe. In order to calculate the blond flow through a syringe the researchers used a model that allows the flow of adhesive fluids - substances with internal friction. Navier-Stokes' equations were used to describe adhesive fluids move mathematically. These equations allowed describing non-stationary flow of incompressible fluids, i.e. including no volumetric changes, however, including figural changes. In last analyzed case, i.e. with flow orifice, fluids dam up in front ofthe orifice and thenflow into the next chamberjust after the orifice. The fluids flow to the chamber as apiled up stream. Then, the fluids hit internal bend sides and rotate again in front of the needle orifice entry. Considering fluids parameters, vorticity process improves fluid mixing process.
