The research investigated 120 students from universities in Lublin. It was carried out using Young’s Early Maladaptive Schema Questionnaire, Wong’s Personal Meaning Profile Scale and Ryff and Keyes’s Scale of Psychological Well-Being. This concluded that there is a definite link between Early Maladaptive Schemas with the resultant meaning of life and personal well-being in individuals. The greater the intensity of EMS, the lower the perceived sense of the meaning of life and well-being. There exists a strong negative correlation between Social Isolation schema and the relations-centered dimensions of the meaning of life and well-being. Schemas involving self-perception (how a person sees themselves), their relationships with others and their interaction with their surroundings link into the person’s approach to themselves, others and the world around them. With reference to “schema therapy”, an interesting development for further research into links between EMS, quality of life, sense of self and well-being would be to investigate persons who had decided to take up this therapy. Examination of results could enable answers as to how, and to what degree, changes due to therapy may result in the modification of the negative correlation between EMS and the quality and meaning of life.
W niniejszym badaniu przebadano grupę 120 osób – studentów uczelni lubelskich. Wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Wczesnych Nieadaptacyjnych Schematów Younga, Skalę Osobistego Profilu Sensu Wonga oraz Skalę Dobrostanu Psychicznego Ryff i Keyes. Należy stwierdzić, iż istnieją związki między nieadaptacyjnymi schematami (EMS) a sensem i dobrostanem. Im wyższe nasilenie schematów, tym niższe poczucie sensu życia i mniejsza odczuwana jakość życia. Między schematem Izolacja Społeczna a wymiarami sensu i dobrostanu odnoszącymi się do relacji zachodzi wysoka korelacja ujemna. Schematy dotyczące sposobu, w jaki jednostka spostrzega samą siebie, jej relacji z innymi i radzenia sobie z otoczeniem, wiążą się z tymi wymiarami sensu i dobrostanu, które dotyczą relacji osoby do siebie, innych i świata. W kontekście dostępnej w psychoterapii tzw. terapii schematu interesującą perspektywą dla dalszych badań nad EMS, sensem i dobrostanem byłoby przebadanie osób, które zdecydowały się na terapię. Wykorzystanie powtarzalnego pomiaru dałoby odpowiedź na pytanie, czy i w jakim stopniu można modyfikować istniejący ujemny związek między tymi zmiennymi.

The article presents selected problems relevant for the contentious issue of abortion and related discourses indicating that one of the characteristic features of abortion discourse is its mediatization. The author aims to characterize the constraints on abortion discourses and the varied environments in which different types of such discourses emerge. Abortion discourses are sociolinguistically differentiated and may exhibit different styles and modes of expression. Although they share the scope of the subject matter involved as in all cases they are centered on abortion-related problems, the field of discourse in each case is defined by the nature of the communicative situation in which a particular discourse is embedded. All abortion discourses are underlined with particular assumptions concerning the nature of human life and its beginning, as well as the issues of the dignity and liberty of the human person. The author suggests that what really hampers abortion discourses and prevents their participants from reaching a consensus is the fact that people who engage in such disputes are faced with the incommensurability of the values which translate into decisive factors and the final arguments used by interacting discussants. Another problem is posed by the fact that the two extreme positions in the debate are formulated with the use of different styles and registers, which results in the clash of asymmetric discourses. Finally, it is not insignificant that subjectively important values are much varied and that they must coexist with two main sets or “families” of abortion-oriented fundamental values present in the polarised camps.

Opis:
Complex methodology was applied to study a movement structure in the standing back tuck somersault (SBTS). We have checked the usefulness of the multi-modular measuring system (SMART-E, BTS, Company, Italy) consisting of six infrared cameras, and the wireless module Pocket EMG, for measuring muscle bioelectric activity and force plate (AMTI, USA). Software Smart Analyser was used to create a database allowing the chosen parameters to be compared. Using a comprehensive methodology in the studies of the back somersault, performed with the landing at the same place (salto – S), allows for the presentation of the external and internal structure of the movement of this exercise.

This article is an attempt to presentations the problems of workaholism. It concentrates on workaholism of employees who work at home, particularly as a teleworkers. This article presents positive and negative aspects of work in human life. Next it shows the main symptoms of workaholism i.e.: addiction to work, internal compulsion of work, high level of work commitment, low level of work satisfaction, obsessive thinking of work, regularly work at weekends, fail to take the full holiday entitlement and the unsettle of work-life balance. In the end it demonstrates that teleworking is conducive to workaholism especially because of home as a place of working and the absents of time division.

Marianna Biernacka, called “blessed mother-in-law”, gave life for saving life of her daughter-in-law. Stanislawa Leszczynska was a midwife. She was receiving labors in the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz. Both women lived during the Second World War. They showed great kindness and piety. The aim of the article was to present the life histories of Marianna Biernacka and Stanislawa Leszczynska and the events that affected their beati-fication. In both cases their heroic acts became famous only decades after the war. The articleʼs message is clear: everyone can become a saint. The article was based on the available books about Marianna Biernacka and Stanislawa Leszczynska, which are few in the literature.

The article presents the main assumptions of the project “Bytom school = assurance and guarantee of high-quality education” and attempts to assess the effectiveness of activities implemented during the school year. The presented project evaluation results were obtained from pupils and teachers of one of the primary schools. The analysis of the research material allowed to exhibit the short-term goals achieved, as well as the factors positively and negatively affecting the quality of the activities implemented. The reflections/recommendations from the explorations conducted will allow to direct further work in order to achieve the project’s objectives to a greater degree.

In this article was analyzed the regulations relating to nasciturus status in the polish legal system. Nasciturus, ie. conceived and unborn child, has a number of rights, which result primarily from the legislation, and sometimes also from the judiciary. The article consists of four subchapters as well as introduction and conclusion. As first a term nasciturus and an essence of conditional legal capacity were explained. This issue is connected with the problems presented in second subchapter concerning on nasciturus status in the inheritance law. The ability to inherit is a part of legal capacity. Thanks for this attribute nasciturus may be a heir of property included in inheritance. Nasciturus get this property, if he/she will born alive. In a next subchapter was indicated the rights of nasciturus, which result from the regulations of family law. In a last subchapter the criminal-law protection of conceived child was presented.

The question of standards of entrepreneur rights in competition proceedings has been for many years considered as one the most controversial issues. Its importance has been increasing considering that the application of antitrust regulations is often concomitant with a wide-ranging interference with the freedom of economic activity. This interference manifests itself in cases concerning both restrictive practices and the control of concentrations. Valuable source of inspiration for a debate on the need to take into account numerous standards of rights in competition proceedings was the dispute over the nature of competition proceedings and fines (the controversy around ‘a criminal law nature’ of competition cases). The jurisprudence of Strasbourg judiciaries explicitly stresses that in the assessment of a case nature due consideration should rather not be given to formal classifications set forth in legal provisions but to the real nature of the case. The ECJ did not share the assumptions adopted by the European Court of Human Rights on the legitimacy of a wide interpretation of the “criminal charge” notion within the meaning of Article 6(1) ECHR. In the present EU jurisprudence on competition law, there have been more and more judgments which deal with standards of rights stemming from the ECHR. In the context of an ever growing severity of penalties, the guarantee function of law has been gaining in importance, and hence the standards to be respected in competition proceedings are of a bigger weight. Major changes were brought by the entry into force, on 1 December 2009, of the Treaty of Lisbon. The implementation of the concept aiming at an even stronger reinforcement of the position of fundamental rights was sealed by granting the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights of 2000 the binding force by including this Charter into the EU primary law and by defining the basis for the EU accession to the ECHR (Article 6 TEU). The introduction of new rules of judicial cooperation in criminal matters may contribute in future to a better dynamic of the criminalization of the most serious violations of competition law in the EU Member States (Article 83 and following of the TFEU).
La problématique des standards en matière de droits des entrepreneurs dans les affaires de concurrence est considérée comme particulièrement controversée depuis des années. Son importance s’accroît en raison du fait que l’application du droit de la concurrence entraîne souvent une ingérence fort poussée dans la liberté d’exercer une activité économique. Celle-ci relève tant des actions concernant les pratiques restreignant la concurrence que le contrôle des concentrations. Le débat sur la nature des affaires de concurrence et les amendes (querelle regardant la nature criminelle des affaires de concurrence) a été une inspiration importante pour la discussion concernant la nécessité de prendre en considération plusieurs standards des droits dans les procédures de concurrence. Dans la jurisprudence des autorités de Strasbourg, pour évaluer le caractère des affaires, l’accent est sensiblement mis moins sur la classification formelle faite en vertu de textes juridiques que sur la nature réelle de ces affaires. La Cour de Justice ne partage pas la thèse de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme au sujet du bien fondé d’une interprétation large de la notion d’ « accusation criminelle » au sens de l’art. 6(1) de la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme. La jurisprudence communautaire actuelle en matière de droit de la concurrence voit pourtant s’accroître le nombre d’arrêts qui abordent la question des standards des droits découlant de la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme. La nécessité de garantir les droits fondamentaux est accentuée en particulier en raison de la nature répressive des sanctions appliquées en vertu de la législation communautaire. L’entrée en vigueur du traité de Lisbonne, le 1er décembre 2009, apportait un changement capital. Celui-ci était lié notamment à la réalisation d’une conception visant à renforcer définitivement la position des droits fondamentaux dans l’Union européenne. La force obligatoire octroyée à la Charte des droits fondamentaux de l’UE de 2000 et son intégration dans le droit primaire de l’UE, ainsi que la définition des fondements de l’adhésion de l’UE à la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme (art. 6 du Traité sur le fonctionnement de l’UE) réalisent cette conception. Puis, la mise en place de principes nouveaux de collaboration dans les affaires pénales peut contribuer à dynamiser à l’avenir le processus de criminalisation des infractions les plus graves au droit de la concurrence dans les Etats membres (art. 83 et suiv. du traité sur le fonctionnement de l’UE).

Jeżeli chodzi o prawo UE to analiza koncentruje się na normach rozporządzeń nr 1/2003, nr 773/2004 i nr 139/2004.

The aim of this article is to present the latest results of geophysical researches executed in April 2017 at the site Gordineşti II-Stînca goală in northern part of the Republic of Moldova. Based on very intriguing discoveries (i.e. remains of a dwelling, part of a clay platform and one pit) during the excavations carried out in 2016 and earlier, it was decided to investigate a larger area using non-invasive geophysical method. As a result, a few types of anomalies of different shapes were identified. It seems that these anomalies indicate the occurrence of remains of the dwellings as well as hypothetical main square between them in the centre of this fortified settlement

W wielu współczesnych organizacjach napotyka się trudności w dostępie do informacji aktualizowanych w czasie rzeczywistym ze względu na elastyczność organizacji, która dostosowuje się do zmiennych warunków funkcjonowania. W odpowiedzi na te potrzeby opracowano zaawansowane modele operacyjne i platformy do obsługi operacji, które wśród licznych udogodnień mogą równocześnie udostępniać opcje prezentacji mierników operacyjnych obliczanych na bieżąco. Pociąga to jednak za sobą koszty pracy wielu osób, które wykonują manualnie zadania gromadzenia informacji oraz ich korektę. Ponadto daleko posunięta integracja poszczególnych obszarów operacyjnych: produkcji/usług, logistyki, zakupów, sprzedaży, utrzymania technicznego, inwestycji itd. nie zawsze idzie w parze z adekwatnością danych w sytuacjach decyzyjnych. Kierując uwagę na występujące w każdej organizacji zbiory danych związanych z oceną ryzyka zawodowego, która dotyczy każdego stanowiska pracy, odnajduje się bardzo wartościowe informacje odnoszące się do kontekstu zadaniowego. Zatem, projektując elektroniczny dostęp do tych zasobów i wdrażając mechanizmy adaptacyjne, można przyczynić się do poprawy skuteczności zarządzania operacyjnego przy równoczesnym skracaniu czasu procesów decyzyjnych i eliminowaniu niektórych czynności wykonawczych. Informacje pozyskiwane podczas analizy ryzyka zawodowego mają charakter systemowy, czyli dotyczą zadań pracownika i sposobu użytkowania środków technicznych; jest to równocześnie wspólny z zarządzaniem operacyjnym obszar wiedzy. Bardzo ważne jest przede wszystkim to, że ten zbadany i udokumentowany obszar obejmuje wpływ czynników bliższego i dalszego otoczenia na nieplanowane sytuacje. Ze względu na swój charakter dane te mają również status zasobów informacji eksploatacyjnych, a co za tym idzie, są wykorzystywane w systemowych rozwiązaniach z zastosowaniem elektrotechnicznych urządzeń bezpieczeństwa.
There are some problems in contemporary organizations associated with the availability of updated, real-time data. This situation arises due to the flexibility of organizations adjusting to their changing operating conditions. In response to that, advanced operating models have been prepared. Unfortunately, this requires a huge effort from the workers who manually collect and correct the data. Moreover, the advanced integration of individual operating areas (such as production, logistics, acquisitions, sales, maintenance and investments) does not always go hand in hand with an adequacy of data in decision-making processes. In this context, there are valuable data on occupational risk assessment in each organization. Designing electronic access to the data and implementing adaptation mechanisms J can improve both operational management and decision-making processes. This way we can also eliminate some unnecessary actions. The occupational risk assessment data have a systemic character because they are connected with both worker tasks and the method of operating technical means. It is also a common area of knowledge with operational management. Most of all, the fact that the impact of internal and external factors on unplanned situations is examined and documented is very important. The nature of these data qualifies them as operating information resources. Hence, they are applied in systemic solutions using electronic safety devices.

Opis:
This article presents the problems of employment retention and flexibility. Organizations are mainly focused on employees who have high and rare competences. Retention is typical for this group of workers so they get contracts for an unspecified time (typical form of employment). On the contrary flexibility is typical for workers with low and easy available competences. Hence, they usually get limited time contracts. The models of employment can be also matched with the retention and flexibility. Permanent job and retention of workers are typical for traditional model of employment. In flexible model there are three different groups of employees, i.e.: stable workers, peripheries workers and outside collaborators. Peripheries workers and outside collaborators constitute the flexible / inconstant part of employment in the organization. This paper also shows that organizational culture and personnel strategy have an impact on employment retention and flexibility. We can find kinds of organizational culture and personnel strategy which either support or not retention or flexibility.
