Opis:
Since its introduction in Poland in 1923, land consolidation has continuously been an instrument for improving the farmland planning, thus creating the best possible production conditions in agricultural areas. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the current regulations on land consolidation, in particular to answer the question whether and to what extent this solution serves the efficiency of land management in rural areas, and to what extent it fulfils the objectives set by the legislator in relation to: land management in rural areas, taking into account their production capacity for agriculture and other use; improvement of spatial organization; enabling sustainable development of rural areas and protection of natural resources. The study refers to the guides of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for national legislators designing legal solutions for land consolidation. In conclusion, the author calls for the work to be initiated on a new model of land consolidation or, more broadly, a regulation relating to the management of rural areas.

The article presents the technology of layered casting with the use of 3D printing to make a frame insert. The insert was made of powdered titanium and then filled with liquid cast iron. The paper presents the results of research, including structure observation and hardness measurements, as well as abrasion resistance tests. The results indicate the possibility of creating a local reinforcement using a frame insert. The resulting casting is characterized by a local increase in hardness and, in addition, an increase in abrasion resistance of the entire surface layer. The quality of the obtained connection depends strongly on the casting parameters.

Opis:
Due to the occurrence of the second genotype of African Swine Fever (ASF) virus in Europe, the situation today causes a threat to the species through the use of sanitary shooting of wild boars in the areas of disease occurrence, and as a consequence their depopulation. The purpose of the study is to assess EU and Polish legal regulations relating to the protection, preservation of diversity and management of wild game populations and combating of infectious animal diseases, which are subject to the obligation to combat. The researchers’ question in this paper concerns the mutual relations of these legal regulations and legal instruments for the valuable protection of the biosphere in hunting in connection with the occurrence of the disease. The subject of careful analysis was the search for manifestations of the implementation of the legal protection of wild game as a nationwide good, particularly relating to one category of wild game – wild boars, in a situation of epizootic danger.

The first Early Cretaceous (Valanginian–Hauterivian) ammonite fauna from the lower part of the Kościeliska Marl Formation (Wściekły Żleb Member) of the Lower Sub-Tatric (Krížna) Nappe, in the Lejowa Valley of the Tatra Mountains are described. The fauna is precisely placed in the succession and consists of five species: Olcostephanus densicostatus, Spitidiscus cf. cankovi, Criosarasinella cf. subheterocostata, Crioceratites primitivus, and Crioceratites coniferus and additionally an aptychus Didayilamellaptychus seranonis. Remarkable are the valves of anomiid bivalves attached to body chamber of large size heteromorph ammonite C. primitivus. Moreover, a variety of stratigraphically important organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts are recovered from this locality. Dinoflagellates: Cymososphaeridium validum, Circulodinium vermiculatum, and representatives of Bourkidinium define the Upper Valanginian–Lower Hauterivian Sentusidinium sp. A Dinocyst Subzone of the Cymososphaeridium validum Zone. The character of deposits, the palynofacies, and associations of dinoflagellate cysts indicate a calm marine outer neritic environment.

Total antixodative effect is difficult to predict because the total antiradical capacity depends not only on properties of individual compounds, but also on their mutual interactions. The study examined the effect of the addition of Ginkgo biloba antioxidants to refined rapeseed oil on the stabilization of the oil and its triacylglycerols, measured by an Oxidograph accelerated oxidative stability test and the Rancimat test. The mineral composition of oil was also determined. The tested samples were observed to respond differently in terms of the induction period, which was the longest periods for ethanolic extracts, and the shortest for aqueoeus ones. The highest values of the protective factor were observed in the samples with added ethanolic extract of green leaves, while the lowest ones were noted in all aqueous extracts. In all the tested samples, values of the protection factor increased along with the growing extract concentration in a sample. Among the tested additives, butylated hydroxytoluene added to a sample of oil resulted in the longest induction period. Among the analysed microelements, iron was the prevalent one, with its concentration being significantly higher in water extracts. The least abundant was selenium. The antioxidative capacity of Ginkgo biloba extract resulted from the presence of transitional metals and polyphenols, as the presence of zinc, copper and iron affects the bioavailability of flavonoids. Negative relationships were noted between microelements in the extracts and its oxidative stability, which indicated the oxidative activity of the former. G. biloba extracts may be a new source of stabilising additives for high-fat foods. However, further reasearch I needed to confirm this assumption, particularly because food is a complex matrix, in which ingredients might interact with one another, causing higher or lower antioxidative capacity

Opis:
Ensuring sustainable agricultural production technologies is becoming increasingly important in the face of the observed climate change and need to reduce the harmful environmental impact of agriculture. The aim of the study is a comparative assessment of the deep fertilizer placement method with surface broadcast application of fertilizers as regards overall sustainability. To reach this goal, based on the results of field experiments and expert opinions, the values of sustainability indicators (economic, environmental and social aspects) were determined. The AHP (analytical hierarchy process) method was applied to comparative assessment. The conducted analysis showed that economic, environmental and overall sustainability assessment are conditioned by productivity achieved. In the first year of the experiment, when the yield increase was not achieved, in terms of sustainability criteria considered, the surface broadcast application of fertilizers was determined to be preferred as compared to the deep fertilizer placement method. On the other hand, in the second year of research with yield increase, the practice with the deep application of mineral fertilizers resulted in a better performance than surface broadcast fertilization, while showing a similar overall performance in the case of natural fertilizers.
Zrównoważenie technologii produkcji w rolnictwie jest coraz bardziej istotne w obliczu obserwowanej zmiany klimatu i konieczności ograniczenia negatywnego wpływu rolnictwa na środowiskowo. Celem pracy jest porównanie aspektów zrównoważenia uprawy kukurydzy z zastosowaniem praktyki wgłębnego i powierzchniowego nawożenia. Na podstawie wyników eksperymentów polowych i opinii ekspertów wyznaczono wartości wskaźników zrównoważenia (aspekt ekonomiczny, środowiskowy i społeczny). W ocenie porównawczej wykorzystano metodę AHP (procesu analitycznej hierarchizacji). Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, że ocena ekonomiczna, środowiskowa oraz ogólna ocena zrównoważenia warunkowana jest osiągniętym poziomem plonowania. W pierwszym roku prowadzenia doświadczenia, gdy nie uzyskano wzrostu plonowania, praktyka nawożenia powierzchniowego uzyskała wyższą ocenę zrównoważenia w stosunku do praktyki wgłębnego nawożenia. Natomiast w drugim roku badań, gdy uzyskano wyższe plony z praktyką wgłębnego stosowania nawozów, wykazano, że ocena zrównoważenia tej metody nawożenia przewyższa praktykę powierzchniowej aplikacji nawozów mineralnych oraz że uzyskuje podobną ocenę w przypadku nawozów naturalnych.
