Opis:
After the Reformation Masurians as subjects of the rulers of the first evangelical state in the world became Lutherans. Over time, the inhabitants of the southern areas of Easy Prussia and the so- called Lithuania Minor felt the lack of the deepened spirituality, which they did not find in the evangelical church. Through the settled in Gąbin (Gumbinnen) exiled from the area of Salzburg pietist Evangelists in Masuria, “The six books on True Christianity” by John Arndt appeared. The book, after the Bible and the Small Catechism of Luther became the most popular among people of Masuria. The first piety movements appeared in Masuria in the county of Nidzica and Szczytno at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. However their true upturn took place from the 1840s. It manifested itself in running home services, prayer meetings- so-called “beads” and increased activity of travelling preachers. In the seventies and eighties of the nineteenth century, The Gromadkar movement comprised between 30 and 80% of the Masurian population. The centre of the Masurian clusters was located near Szczytno, Pisz and Mrągowo. Registered in 1885 by the Prussian Lithuanian Christopher Kukat , the East Prussian Evangelical Prayers Association which with the help of its bilingual (German Lithuanian) paper Pakajaus Paslas/ Friedens- Bote gave the organizational framework to the East Prussian clusters. At the turn of 19th and 20th centuries, the Gromadkar movement reached its apogee, also spreading among the Mazurian workers’ communities in the Ruhr. Since the First World War, there has been a gradual stifling of the movement, which in the Nazi era entered agonal phase. The key to understanding the world of clusters is the “Six Books on True Christianity” by John Arndt, in which he creates a kind of bridge between Luther’s teachings and the writings of the Rhine mystics of Master Eckhart, John Tauler and Henry Suzo, giving Mazurians directions for spiritual growth. It was supposed to rely on “Six Books” to deny yourself, to reject your own ego, to seek contact with God, indicating as the goal the union with God. The uniqueness of the Gromadkar movement consisted in going beyond the Lutheran principle of “justification by faith” and entering the ground of Christian mysticism unknown to the Evangelical doctrine, which happened through the work of Arndt. An additional aspect that opens up in this context is the Slavic and Lithuanian spirituality and the sensitivity of the crowd, without which undoubtedly it would not be possible to practice mysticism on the basis of the Evangelical religion.

Opis:
The diversity of Masurian dialects, the lack among the Masurian society of well-educated people who use these dialects on a daily basis made it impossible to develop a uniform dialect pattern. This, in turn, caused that there are no examples of Masurian dialect literature. In 1975, Prof. Wojciech Chojnacki described John Bunyan’s “The Holy War”, which was published in 1900 in Herne, Westphalia, translated into the Masurian dialect and given the dialect title “Ta Swenta Woyna”. The book was translated and published by a miner, Jacob Sczepan. A renewed interest in the translation of Bunyan’s work appeared after the publication of its digitized version by the University Library of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn in 2017. The analysis of the dialect used by Sczepan allowed to classify it to the West Masurian dialect in its Nidzica form. Research queries of address and parish registers revealed only one person who could have been the author of the translation, i.e. Jacob Sczepan, born on 21.7.1867 in Witówko (Nidzica Poviat). The same Jacob Sczepan, a mining foreman, was recorded in the address register of the city of Herne in 1900. The Westphalian miner from Masuria was probably a member of the Fellowship Movement, while Bunyan’s work was one of the most significant and popular pietistic works. Sczepan addressed his translation to pious Masurian exiles like him. For this reason, his dialect is faithful to the language spoken at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries by the inhabitants of the Nidzica, Działdowo and Szczytno areas. This authenticity of Sczepan’s dialect makes his work unique. There is no other such extensive and authentic record of the already extinct dialect in the Masurian culture. The translation of Bunyan’s book was intended to enlighten and comfort his countrymen torn from steeped-in-traditional-piety Masuria, who were thrown into the industrialised world of the Ruhr region. However, for us, it is a valuable monument of the culture that no longer exists today.

Opis:
The paper uses specific parameter estimation methods to identify the coefficients of continuous-time models represented by linear and non-linear ordinary differential equations. The necessary approximation of such systems in discrete time in the form of utility models is achieved by the use of properly tuned ‘integrating filters’ of the FIR type. The resulting discrete-time descriptions retain the original continuous parameterization and can be identified, for example, by the classical least squares procedure. Since in the presence of correlated noise, the estimated parameter values are burdened with an unavoidable systematic error (manifested by asymptotic bias of the estimates), in order to significantly improve the identification consistency, the method of instrumental variables is used here. In our research we use an estimation algorithm based on the least absolute values (LA) criterion of the least sum of absolute values, which is optimal in identifying linear and non-linear systems in the case of sporadic measurement errors. In the paper, we propose a procedure for determining the instrumental variable for a continuous model with non-linearity (related to the Wienerian system) in order to remove the evaluation bias, and a recursive sub-optimal version of the LA estmator. This algorithm is given in a simple (LA) version and in an instrumental variable version (IV-LA), which is robust to outliers, removes evaluation bias, and is suited to the task of identifying processes with non-linear dynamics (semi-Wienerian/NLID). In conclusion, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithmic solutions has been demonstrated by numerical simulations of the mechanical system, which is an essential part of the suspension system of a wheeled vehicle.

In the years 2001-2006, excavations were conducted at the site Maroulas, on the island of Kythnos. This site, dated at about 9400 years BP, in terms of taxonomy can be classified as "Aegean Mesolithic”, which refers to the tradition of Late Palaeolithic Epigravettien of the eastern part of the Mediterranean basin. This site differs from other previously known Mesolithic sites by: a) The presence of the circular stone structures and stone pavements, b) The presence of stone querns and grindstones what in turn suggests a greater role of plant food.

Opis:
In the seasons 2004 and 2006, interdisciplinary researches at the settlement of the early phase of Eastern Linear Pottery Culture at Moravany were continued. Archaeological excavations have limited spatial dimension compared to previous seasons, as a priority in the years 2004-2006 was the completion of the palaeoeconomic, paleoenvironmental and chronological analyses. I.a. 14 new radiocarbon dates were obtained. In conjunction with the absolute dates obtained previously and with typological evidence it gives rise to dating of the settlement for a period between about 5500 and 5300/5200 BC.
