Opis:: The article is an attempt to show a convergence of views of contemporary researchers dealing with the world economy problems and G. Myrdal's theses concerning the building of a peacelul and just world economy. For Myrdal a greater justice in the world may be attained mainly through accelerated development of less-developed countries. Hence, the main attention in this article has been focussed on G.Myrdal's views on international determinants ol accelerated development of less-developed countries, including the role of foreign atd. Opis:: The article contains a critical analysis of the non-capitalist path of Russia's development as voiced by the nationalists (narodniki). The analysis is focussed on: premises of selection by the nationalists of the non-capitalist path of development, economic growth factors in the nationalists concept, causalities of non-capitalist industrialization and the state's role in this process as well as the nationalists postulates regarding development of social production forms in Russian agriculture. The author tried to assess the feasibility of the development programme as postulated by the nationalists. An important element in this assessment is an answer to the question whether the non-capitalist path of develapment, if it was to have been implemented, would have allowed Russia from the late 19th century to overcome its economic backwardness.

Opis:: The article discusses methodological problems of Gunnar Myrdal 's scientific contributions. It describes in bigger detail the research method which, in Myrdal's opinion, should be employed in all social sclences including economy. The analysis in particular parts of the article encompasses Myrdal's views on: - criterion of objectivity of sciences, - necessity of formulating valuation judgments, - difficulties in identification of valuations, - process of selecting valuation premises for researches, - correlations between research problem and valuation premises, and practical objective of social sciences according to Myrdal. The article contains also an attempt at showing similarities and differences between the Marxist and Myrdal'a interpretation of social phenomena and processes.

Opis:: The author makes an attempt at analyzing Myrdal's principle of indirect causality in a close relation to conditions of economic development in countries belonging to the so-called Third World. In the first part of the article, there are presented the main ideas contained in critique of traditional economic approaches to the problem of economic backwardness as performed in numerous works of Myrdal. It is followed by discussion of the mechanism characterizing operation of cumulative indirect processes based on the example of the Negro problem in the United States. The article analyzes also the role attributed by Myrdal to cumulative processes in the economic development of the less-developed countries.
