    Opis:
    Social-cultural transformations in the modern world play an important role not only in education and general socialization, but also decide about the teachers’ axiological preferences and attitudes. They also have a significant effect on the quality of catechization, mainly on the range of the catechist’s didactic and educational tasks at school. The task connected with education of children and adolescents in the spirit of tolerance should be included here. However, the point is not to be adjusted to the commonly propagated slogans, in which tolerance is understood very widely, but it is the attitude that is the expression of properly understood tolerance, based on Christian axiology. Hence, the aim of the present study is to refer to the issues connected with transmission of knowledge and with shaping socially desired attitudes of tolerance among the catechized pupils. First the concept of “tolerance”, and then the features distinguishing the attitude of tolerance among catechists are described. Against this background the role of tolerance in school catechesis and the ways of forming tolerance in the catechized pupils are described.

    This article attempted to present catechetical thoughts included in the encyclical Lumen fidei. It is the newest papal encyclical, the first during the pontificate of Pope Francis. Its subject matter is connected with “The year of faith” celebrated in the Catholic Church. This encyclical was created with significant participation of Benedict XVI, the predecessor of the present Pope Francis. The present Pope added a few thoughts to this draft. Firstly, this reflection was focused on depicting the understanding of faith in Lumen fidei encyclical. The attention was paid to catechetical message relating to faith. Next, the subject of faith stimulation and developmet in catechesis was discussed. Although this encyclical is not devoted to catechesis it contains many important catechetical thoughts. Therefore, an attempt was made to discover these catechetical truths and show their meaning for reflection and catechists’ work.

    This analysis proves that introducing teenagers to a dialogue with Judaism is one of catechesis’s tasks. This task has been outlined in the post-conciliar documents of the Catholic Church. It underlines the spiritual ties between Catholic people and the Jews and promotes forming an attitude of openness towards followers of the Mosaic religion. It also contributes to mitigating anti-Semitism among Catholic teenagers. At the same time, it raises interest in Jewish traditions and culture. In the religion syllabus in lower and post-secondary schools we can come across numerous references (mainly indirect) to Judaism. The focus on passing honest knowledge about Judaism can be also clearly visible. In this way, formation of the cognitive element of inter-religious dialogue takes place. On the other hand, less attention is devoted to other components of this attitude such as the emotional and behavioural elements. That is why there is a demand to complete the lacking elements by watching films and having discussions. The above mentioned multimedia materials called “The religion lesson” have been prepared to satisfy this need.Great importance is also attached to creating situations that allow Christian teenagers to participate in meetings with the Jews. It can be organized in the form of Days of Judaism and panel discussions with Jews and distinguished contemporary theologians and philosophers. Open meetings with representatives of Judaism are a great opportunity to perceive the Jews as “older brethren in the faith”. They let young people discover the cultural wealth and vision of Judaism and teach teenagers respect for the religious beliefs of the Jews. Thereby, they can contribute to the change of mentality of young participants of catechesis in their approach to Judaism. It is worth referring to the works of Jewish culture in these activities. It is the cultural heritage that comprises a great reference point to showing the strong Judaic roots of Christian culture. Thus, it is necessary, for the topics in Judaism proposed for religious syllabuses and catechetical material to be closely connected with organizing meetings of young Catholics with followers of the Mosaic religion. Only this kind of experience can contribute to an authentic inter-religious dialogue.

    Artykuł ma na celu dokonanie przeglądu refleksji współczesnych polskich katechetyków na temat wiary. Problematyka wiary jest ważna i zawsze aktualna, dlatego często pojawia się ona w wielu publikacjach. Katechetycy podejmują różne problemy, a wśród nich często zajmują się rozwijaniem poznania treści wiary i kształtowaniem postaw wynikających z wiary. Są to problemy wpisane w naturę katechezy i wychowania chrześcijańskiego, dlatego poświęcono im wiele uwagi w niniejszym artykule. Uzupełniono je o definiowanie wiary – polscy katechetycy też o tym piszą, nie można było więc pominąć tej problematyki.
    The aim of this article is to review the reflections of contemporary Polish catechists concerning faith. Since the issue of faith is important and always up-to-date it often appears in many publications. Catechists deal with different problems such as developing the perception of faith and the formation of attitudes stemming from faith. These problems are inscribed in the nature of catechesis and Christian education and that is why a lot of attention is paid to them in this article. They are completed with the definition of faith. Polish catechists also write about it so it could not have been omitted.

    This article raises a question of the possibility and need of catechetical adaptation of Laudato si encyclical by Pope Francis. Excerpts of the encyclical showing different forms of integral ecology and appreciation on the basis of ecology of such attitudes as gratitude, humbleness and cheerfulness undoubtedly pose challenges for the contemporary catechesis. They have the current knowledge about ecology and can be effectively used in school or parish catechesis in ecological education. The content of this encyclical comprises the source of ecological formation both for the catechist and the catechized. From the practical point of view many issues discussed in this encyclical can constitute the material to prepare the scripts of catechesis.
    Artykuł porusza ważną kwestię możliwości i potrzeby katechetycznej adaptacji encykliki Laudato si’ papieża Franciszka. Fragmenty encykliki wskazujące na różne formy ekologii integralnej oraz dowartościowanie na gruncie ekologii takich postaw jak wdzięczność, pokora i pogoda ducha stanowią bez wątpienia wyzwania dla współczesnej katechezy. Zawierają one aktualną wiedzę o ekologii i mogą skutecznie posłużyć w katechezie szkolnej bądź parafialnej do wychowania ekologicznego. Treści encykliki stanowią źródło formacji ekologicznej zarówno dla samego katechety, jak i katechizowanych. Z praktycznego punktu widzenia wiele kwestii poruszonych w encyklice może stanowić materiał do przygotowania scenariuszy katechez.

    Bez wątpienia problematyka powołania do życia konsekrowanego należy do kluczowych tematów w katechezie młodzieży szkół ponadgimnazjalnych. Na tym etapie katechizacji młody człowiek dokonuje wyborów dalszej drogi życiowej i decyduje o własnym losie. Z uwagi na znaczenie katechetyczne problematyki powołania do życia konsekrowanego, warto nad nią podjąć refleksję i najpierw ukazać czy i w jaki sposób pojawia się ona w podstawie programowej katechezy i programach nauczania religii w liceum, technikum i w szkole zawodowej. Powstaje pytanie na ile obecna jest tam tematyka powołania życiowego i tej szczególnej formy jaką jest życie konsekrowane? Poszukajmy zatem na to pytanie odpowiedzi. Opisując problematykę powołania do życia konsekrowanego, zwrócimy uwagę na cele, treści i zadania bezpośrednio i pośrednio związane z powołaniem i życiem konsekrowanym. Zaakcentujemy problem kształtowania w uczniach umiejętności dokonywania właściwych wyborów dalszej drogi życiowej oraz wskażemy na potrzebę zmian programowych.
    The vocation to the consecrated life occupies an important place among the various roads vo-cation. Contemporary culture marginalizes these issues. The young man guided in his life, above all what is fashionable, easy to reach, comfortable. He runs away from what a difficult, demanding asceticism, but valuable. In the catechesis of young people from secondary schools the issue of vocations to the consecrated life deserves special attention. The article describes the essence of the vocation to the consecrated life. Then, much attention was paid assumptions program teaching about the vocation to the consecrated life. Specific problems described in connection with the vocation to holiness. Attention was paid to the implementation of the youth to pray for a good understanding of the way personal vocation and testimony and prayer of catechist.

    This article focuses on catechetical meaning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity inthe diocese of Opole based on pastoral letters of bishop A. Czaja issued in years 2016–2018for the very purpose of the Week’s celebrations. These letters are very important for thecatechesis focused on ecumenism. They consist of valuable teachings on the Catechismas well as invitation to get involved in the ecumenical movement. In those pastoral lettersare presented especially issues that are derived from particular goals of the catechesis like:growth in understanding of the faith, introduction to the mission, formation in prayer, aswell as fostering life within the community.
    Artykuł podejmuje problematykę katechetycznego znaczenia Tygodnia Powszechnej Modlitwyo Jedność Chrześcijan w diecezji opolskiej w oparciu o listy pasterskie z lat 2016–2018, jakie bp A. Czaja skierował do wiernych w związku z obchodami tego tygodnia.Są one ważne z punktu widzenia współczesnej katechezy ukierunkowanej ekumenicznie.Zawierają cenne pouczenia katechizmowe oraz zaproszenie do włączenia się w ruch ekumeniczny.W sposób szczególny w listach pasterskich bpa A. Czai obecne są zagadnienia,które wynikają z realizacji takich zadań katechezy, jak: rozwój poznania wiary, wprowadzeniedo misji, wychowanie do modlitwy oraz wychowanie do życia wspólnotowego.

    Głównym celem artykułu jest ukazanie sensowności korelacji lekcji religii z etyką. Pamiętając o tym, że obecnie lekcje etyki w polskiej szkole nie są obligatoryjne, lecz mają charakter zajęć fakultatywnych, wiele uwagi poświęcono potrzebie prowadzenia jej w szkole. Wskazano też na znaczenie lekcji etyki w kształceniu ogólnym każdego ucznia. Zwrócono uwagę na to, że lekcje etyki są źródłem wiedzy o wartościach, normach moralnych, zasadach życia społecznego i indywidualnego oraz odpowiednim miejscem kształtowania postaw społecznych i całościowych oddziaływań w sferze rozwoju osobowego każdego ucznia. W tych oddziaływaniach dydaktycznych i wychowawczych za ważne uznano uniwersalne wartości. Na tle nie tylko teoretycznego, lecz również praktycznego i wychowawczego charakteru lekcji etyki, ukazano sens korelacji lekcji religii z etyką. Tym samym wykazano bezsens obecnej sytuacji, w której uczniowie mogą nie uczestniczyć zarówno w lekcji religii, jak i w etyce. Postulowano potrzebę wprowadzenia obowiązkowych lekcji etyki w polskiej szkole. W końcowej części omówiono wyzwania w zakresie korelacji lekcji religii z etyką.
    The main purpose of the article is to present the logic of a correlation between religious education classes and ethics classes. Keeping in mind that at present ethics classes are not compulsory but rather optional, it is argued that those classes should become obligatory for students at schools. Firstly, as a reminder, the present status of ethics classes in Polish schools is discussed. The importance of ethics classes for the personal development of each student is indicated as well. It is pointed out that ethics classes are a signifi cant source of knowledge about life values, moral norms, basic rules of life in the community, personal principles, as well as an important place to learn the principles of the society and a holistic approach to personal growth and development of each individual student. In these educational and didactical means of infl uence the most universal values are deemed very important. With the theoretical, practical and educational character of  these classes as the background, the logic of correlation between religious education classes and ethics classes is presented. The need to make ethics classes compulsory in Polish schools is insisted on. Finally, the challenges in the correlation between religious education classes and ethics classes are discussed.

    W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wychowanie ekumeniczne w ujęciu nowych dokumentów programowych nauczania religii w przedszkolu i w szkole. Zostały one zatwierdzone w 2018 roku i będą obowiązywały od 1 września 2020 roku. Obecnie trwają prace nad nowymi seriami podręczników. Starano się więc zauważyć, na ile zawarte w nowych dokumentach propozycje mogą inspirować katechetyków i katechetów w zakresie wychowania ekumenicznego. Szczegółowo poddano analizie, a następnie opisano cele i treści zapisane w Podstawie programowej katechezy Kościoła katolickiego w Polsce i Programie nauczania religii rzymskokatolickiej w przedszkolach i szkołach z 2018 roku. Dokonano tego pod kątem katechezy ukierunkowanej ekumenicznie. Zauważono, że sama idea ekumenizmu nie została należycie potraktowana w wyżej wymienionych dokumentach katechetycznych. Sporadycznie i w sposób uproszczony autorzy podejmują tę problematykę, zwłaszcza na poziomie szkoły podstawowej i przedszkola. Nie dają tym samym rzetelnych podstaw do wychowania ekumenicznego. Małą wartość przypisują formacji takich postaw, jak postawa dialogu, otwartości, szacunku i tolerancji wobec wyznawców innych religii i wyznań chrześcijańskich. Przekaz wiedzy, zdaniem autorów, powinien koncentrować się na ogólnych pojęciach i historii Kościoła (np. podziałach w Kościele, próbach podejmowania dialogu). Trudno zatem znaleźć w nowych dokumentach programowych inspiracje dla katechezy ukierunkowanej ekumenicznie. To z kolei rodzi kolejne wyzwania dla katechetyków, katechetów i twórców nowych serii podręczników katechetycznych.
    The article presents an ecumenical education in the light of new core curricula for the religion education at schools and kindergartens. These documents were accepted and approved in 2018 and will take effect on the 1st of September of 2020. Currently one can see ongoing work on new series of workbooks. The aim was to notice and detect, whether or not, new documents and propositions within can inspire catechists and teachers to explore and become familiar with an ecumenical education. Goals and contents of the new Core curriculum of the religious education for the Catholic Church in Poland of 2018 for kindergartens and schools were carefully analysed, described and presented. It was done with the focus on ecumenical education. It was observed that the very idea of the ecumenism was treated lightly in aforementioned documents. The authors addressed this idea rarely and sparsely. Clear and concrete description of main foundations of the ecumenical formation were also not observed. The authors of analysed documents don’t put any stock in forming attitudes such as attitude of dialog, openness or respect, or so it seems. According to them, the main focus of religious education should be on history of the Church and general concepts and usual terms (i.e. divisions within the Church, attempts to undertake a dialog, etc.). All of these can create particular challenges and difficulties for those who work on new workbooks to include ecumenical education in its fullness.

    Sanfilippo syndrome (mucopolysaccharidosis III – MPS III) is a rare genetic disease characterised by progressive neurodegeneration caused by uncontrolled lisosomal and intercellular space glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) accumulation. The disorder occurs after several years of proper child development and is related to changes in nervous, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, visual, auditory and musculoskeletal systems. The authors present orthopaedic abnormalities in an 8-year-old patient with Sanfilippo disease and discuss recommendation for medical intervention of skeletal deformations in patients suffering from Sanfilippo disease. Case presentation: an 8-year-old girl with Sanfilippo disease is reported on. She was diagnosed at the age of 3 when the first abnormalities were revealed. At the age of 8, when orthopaedic problems occurred the physical examination presented characteristic features of MPS such as thickened facial lines, flat base of the nose and dry, light hair. In neurological examination she presented macrocephaly, decreased axial muscle tone and increased circumferential muscle tone, independent but impaired gait pattern. Orthopaedics examination and diagnostic procedures revealed coxa vara, knee valgum and Achilles tendon contraction. Conclusion: Sanfilippo syndrome is a rare genetic – autosomal recessive – disease belonging to the group of Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSDs). After several years after the first symptoms of the disease abnormalities in musculoskeletal system are revealed. The most common orthopaedic procedures in these patients are carpal tunnel release, trigger-finger release and hip replacement. In each case the patient`s QoL and the high risk of surgery and anaesthesia should be balanced individually.
    Choroba Sanfilippo A (mukopolisacharydoza III A) jest rzadką chorobą genetyczną charakteryzującą się postępującą neurodegeneracją spowodowaną wrodzonym niedoborem sulfatazy heparanu prowadzącym do niekontrolowanej akumulacji glikozaminoglikanów (siarczanu heparanu) w przestrzeni lizosomalnej i międzykomórkowej. Zaburzenie pojawia się po kilku latach prawidłowego rozwoju dziecka i jest związane ze zmianami w układzie nerwowym, żołądkowo-jelitowym, sercowo-naczyniowym, oddechowym, wzrokowym, słuchowym i mięśniowo-szkieletowym. Autorzy przedstawiają nieprawidłowości ortopedyczne u 8-letniej pacjentki z chorobą Sanfilippo A i omawiają rekomendacje dotyczące ortopedycznego leczenia deformacji szkieletowych w tej jednostce chorobowej. Prezentacja przypadku: Autorzy opisują 8-letnią dziewczynkę z chorobą Sanfilippo A, u której w wieku 3 lat ujawniły się pierwsze symptomy choroby. W wieku 8 lat, kiedy zaczęły się objawy ortopedyczne, w badaniu fizykalnym stwierdzano charakterystyczne dla mukopolisacharydozy cechy t.j.: pogrubiałe rysy twarzy, płaską nasadę nosa i suche, jasne włosy. W badaniu neurologicznym pacjentka prezentowała wielkogłowie, obniżone napięcie w osi głowa-tułów, a wzmożone w kończynach, chód samodzielny w nieprawidłowym wzorcu. Badanie ortopedyczne i badania dodatkowe ujawniły szpotawość stawów biodrowych, koślawość stawów kolanowych oraz tendencję do przykurczu ścięgien Achillesa. Wnioski: Choroba Sanfilippo A jest rzadką chorobą genetyczną – autosomalną recesywną – należącą do grupy lizosomalnych chorób spichrzeniowych. Po kilku latach od pierwszych objawów choroby ujawniają się nieprawidłowości w układzie mięśniowo-szkieletowym. Najczęstsze zabiegi ortopedyczne w tej grupie pacjentów to uwolnienie cieśni nadgarstka i endoprotezowanie stawu biodrowego. W każdym przypadku należy indywidualnie rozważyć korzyści przekładające się na jakość życia chorego biorąc pod uwagę wysokie czynniki ryzyka podejmowanych interwencji operacyjnych i znieczulenia.

    Opis:
    Współcześnie obserwujemy kryzys zaangażowania rodziców w proces wychowania dzieci i młodzieży w wierze. Jednym z symptomów jest małe zainteresowanie rodziców współpracą z katechetą. Aktualne zatem i potrzebne są różne refleksje naukowe na temat współpracy katechety z rodzicami katechizowanych uczniów. Artykuł podejmuje tę problematykę w odniesieniu do nowej „Podstawy programowej katechezy Kościoła katolickiego w Polsce” (2018), która zacznie obowiązywać od 1 września 2020 roku. Najpierw przybliżone zostało rozumienie terminu „współpraca katechety z rodzicami”. Za autorami nowego dokumentu katechetycznego wyakcentowano wspólne działania i dialog na rzecz wychowania w wierze dzieci i młodzieży. Uwzględniono również ewangelizację, katechizację i pedagogizację rodziców. Następnie zwrócono uwagę na zakładane w podstawie programowej cele i treści, które są istotne w tej współpracy. Katecheta ma wspierać rodziców w wychowaniu religijnym potomstwa poprzez przypominanie im o zadaniach wychowawczych, edukację religijną rodziców, a także ewangelizację. Służą temu m.in. spotkania formacyjne i ewangelizacyjne. Tak określone formy, według autorów nowej podstawy katechezy, są istotne we współpracy katechety z rodzicami. Wymagają bezpośrednich kontaktów oraz budowania relacji opartych na dialogu i zaufaniu. Autorzy podstawy programowej katechezy sceptycznie podchodzą do kontaktów pośrednich (np. za pomocą dziennika elektronicznego). Dokonując oceny wszystkich propozycji z zakresu współpracy katechety z rodzicami, zawartych w nowej podstawie programowej katechezy, sformułowano kilka postulatów pastoralnych. Wskazano m.in. na potrzebę rzetelnej diagnozy za pomocą badań empirycznych. Za ważne uznano również wykorzystanie nowych technologii w dialogu z rodzicami oraz inicjowanie działań ewangelizacyjnych i pedagogizację rodziców. 
    Currently one can observe the recession in involvement of parents in the process of education of their own children in faith. One of the symptoms is lack of interest of parents to actively cooperate with religion teachers. That is why the reflection on cooperation between parents and religion teachers is necessary and required. This article focuses on this issue in the light of The new core curriculum of the Catholic Church in Poland (2018), which will take its effect on the 1st of September of 2020. At the beginning the understanding of the term "cooperation of parents and religion teacher" was described. Following train of thoughts of authors of the new document the work and dialog focused on education in faith of children and youth were emphasized. The author of the article took under consideration evangelization, catechization and education of parents. Then the focus moved toward goals and content, within the core curriculum itself, that are crucial to this kind of cooperation. Religion teacher must support parents in raising their children in faith by reminding them about their parental duties as first educators as well as through faith education of parents and their evangelization which can be accomplished through formation meetings. Such forms, according to authors of the new curriculum, are crucial in cooperation of religion teacher and parents. They need personal contact and relationship building, based on dialog and trust. Authors, though, are skeptic about indirect contact with parents (such as on-line class registry).             To sum up all of the proposals of the cooperation of religious teachers and parents included in new core curriculum, some pastoral postulates were formulated. The need for thorough diagnosis through empirical exercises has been highlighted. New technologies as ways for dialog with parents were deemed important, as well as initiating evangelistic actions and religious education of parents too.

    W obliczu rozwoju nowych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych w Polsce i cyfryzacji polskiej szkoły podjęto próbę ukazania TIK we współczesnej formacji polskich katechetów.  Odwołano się do dokumentów katechetycznych Kościoła powszechnego i w Polsce, aktów normatywnych oraz literatury przedmiotu. Zwrócono uwagę zarówno na wstępną, jak i permanentną formację. W tym celu dokonano krótkiej prezentacji obecnego stanu formacji katechetów w Polsce w zakresie TIK. Następnie analizowano miejsce i funkcje TIK w formacji polskich katechetów oraz sposoby jej realizacji w zakresie TIK. Przeprowadzona analiza dowiodła, że we współczesnej formacji polskich katechetów TIK zajmuje szczególne miejsce. Nie może go zabraknąć, gdyż tylko w ten sposób katecheci mogą kształtować umiejętności informatyczne. Jednocześnie przedstawiono szereg możliwości e-learningowych. Ukazano także możliwości organizacyjne i metodyczne jakie TIK niesie dla pracy katechetów w szkole. Za ważne uznano m.in. umiejętności pracy na platformach zdalnego nauczania (np. Storybird, Padlet, Story Dice) oraz tworzenia i zastosowania różnych aplikacji (np. LearningApps.org., Kahoot!). ICT in der theologisch-religiösen Ausbildung polnischer Religionslehrer*innen Angesichts der Entwicklung von neuen IC-Technologien in Polen und der Digitalisierung des polnischen Schulwesens wurde der Versuch unternommen, ICT im Ausbildungsprozess polnischer Religionslehrer*innen zu verorten. In diesem Zusammenhang wurden katechetische Dokumente der katholischen Kirche in Polen, normative Akte und die Gegenstandsliteratur herangezogen. Erwähnt wurde sowohl die einführende, als auch die permanente theologisch-religiöse Ausbildung. Ferner wurde auch kurz der aktuelle Stand der ICT-Ausbildung von polnischen Katechetinnen und Katecheten dargestellt. Des Weiteren wurden auch der Stellenwert und die Funktion von ICT in der Ausbildung von Religionspädagogen in Polen analysiert. Daraus ging hervor, dass ICT in diesem Prozess einen besonderen Platz einnimmt. ICT ist unverzichtbar, denn nur so können Religionslehrer*innen ihre Kompetenzen im Bereich Informatik entfalten. Ferner wurden aktuelle E-Learning-Möglichkeiten dargestellt. Es wurde nachgewiesen, welche organisatorischen und methodischen Möglichkeiten ICT für die Arbeit in der Schule eröffnet und wie wichtig die Arbeit mit E-Learning-Plattformen (z. B. Storybird, Padlet, Story Dice) sowie die Ausarbeitung und Anwendung von zahlreichen Apps (LearningApps.org, Kahoot!) sein kann.
    With the development of new information and communication technologies in Poland and the digitization of Polish schools, an attempt was made to present ICT as used in the contemporary formation of Polish catechists. Reference was made to the catechetical documents of the universal Church and in Poland, normative acts and literature of the subject. Attention was paid to both initial and permanent formation. For this purpose, a short presentation was made of the current state of the formation of catechists in Poland regarding ICT. Next, the status and functions of ICT in the formation of Polish catechists were analyzed and the ways of its implementation. This showed that ICT has a special place in the contemporary formation of Polish catechists. ICT is indispensable for catechists because only in this way can they enhance their IT skills. At the same time a number of e-learning options were presented, as well as the possibilities that ICT opens for catechists working in schools regarding lesson organization and methodology. Also, the article shows the importance of the ability to use remote learning platforms (e.g., Storybird, Padlet, Story Dice) and create and use various applications (such as LearningApps.org., Kahoot!).
