In the catechetical ministry, it is necessary to open up more to the space of social life. The article is a reflection on the activity of a religion teacher in social life. The latest catechetical documents and theological, sociological and social literature were analyzed. Scientific research has allowed to isolate four important issues, which will be discussed in turn. These are: an attempt to characterize contemporary society; knowledge of the students’ environment; extracurricular activity of a religion teacher and activity in the parish life. According to the paradigm of pastoral theology, the aim of the article is to develop specific solutions and suggestions.
W posłudze katechetycznej konieczne jest większe otwarcie się na przestrzeń życia społecznego. W artykule jest refleksja nad działaniem nauczyciela religii w życiu społecznym. Analizie poddano najnowsze dokumenty katechetyczne oraz literaturę o tematyce teologicznej, socjologicznej i społecznej. Poszukiwania naukowe pozwoliły wyodrębnić cztery istotne zagadnienia, które zostaną kolejno omówione. Są to: próba charakterystyki współczesnego społeczeństwa; znajomość środowiska uczniów; pozaszkolna działalność nauczyciela religii i aktywność w przestrzeni życia parafialnego. Zgodnie z paradygmatem teologii pastoralnej zamierzeniem artykułu jest wypracowanie konkretnych rozwiązań i sugestii.

Mark Prensky created a specific division of society into digital immigrants and digital natives. The aim of this article is to reflect on the challenge posed to contemporary catechesis by generations of digital natives. Among the various conclusions should be distinguished: concern for the development of faith of young people from the generation of digital natives, remember to build the right human relationship, learn to communicate with God, care should be taken for a simple language of catechesis that will show a loving Christ, care about the right image of the human person, supported by testimony, care about kind and authentic dialogue with man and with God. Responsible for the religious education of young people are mainly adults, implicitly: parents, catechists, pastors.

Artykuł zatytułowany Nowe fora katechezy to refleksja w oparciu o Dyrektorium Ogólne o Katechizacji z 1997 roku. Mijające dwadzieścia lat od powstania dokumentu to okazja do podjęcia poszukiwań nowych wyzwaniach i perspektyw. Analiza obecnej sytuacji duszpasterskiej i katechetycznej nakreśla pewną panoramę zagadnień. Celem szczegółowym poniższego tekstu jest wyakcentowanie dwóch wybranych wyzwań: cyfrowej globalizacji i sytuacji rodziny (potrzeba katechezy rodzinnej i rodziny). Zdaniem autora to właśnie te dwie rzeczywistości tworzą najbardziej istotne i aktualne fora współczesnej katechezy.

Today's pastorate is looking for topical models of preaching the Gospel. The article presents Franciszek Blachnicki's proposition that any pastoral work should be based on the Gospel. Experience shows that a considerable part of Christians do not fully live according to the Gospel. This leads to the conclusion that most practicing Catholics need to be evangelized. The need to preach the truth of the faith is ever more necessary also among those people who are christened, but have never accepted Christ as the Lord and the Savior. Also the postulate of a well-thought out pastorate is distinct, where through a clear vision mature attitudes are formed. Such a model of pastorate based on evangelization ultimately is to lead to building the community of the Church.

The article is the effect of reflection upon the Church. Assuming ecclesial character of catechesis it shows the need for reflection and search of the right model of the Church. There are two models presented: institutional and communitarian. The Vatican Council II was the place and time when these two models came together. At that time institutional model based on a pyramidal hierarchy, emphasizing the legal force, closed to any kind of dialogue with the world changes into communi-tarian one. The Church is to become a real community of the people of faith yearning to get united around Jesus Christ. It is a community which is open to the dialogue with the world and culture. It is an ability to share the essence of the community: what it is, what it does and what it possesses. In the times when the majority of people are tired of the institutionalization of life, according to the recommendations of the documents of the Vatican Council II one should go towards the community where a personal encounter between God and human takes place.

Catechesis and atheism are two polarizing words. Catechesis is meant to deepen one’s faith and strengthen one’s relationship with God, while atheism entirely negates the existence of God. The purpose of this article is to show that despite the fact that these two phenomena are so completely oppositional, yet there is an occasion of their encounter. In Polish society it may take place in catechesis—colloquially called religious instruction, which is conducted at schools. That is why this article is concentrated on outlining ineffective moments of catechesis which may have something to do with atheism. It does not mean, though, that the whole process of catechesis should be deemed ineffective and inefficacious. The main priority is to list those elements that are imperfect, causing aspects of the redemptive ministry of the Church to falter. In addition to this, vital recommendations are provided in order to run the catechesis process more effectively, providing more care for the faith and salvation of man.

The principle of being faithful to God and a human is one of the main pastoral principles. The aim of this article is pointing that The World Youth Days are a phenomenon that provides understanding and accomplishing this principle. The World Youth Days are international meetings of young people from all over the world who gather in one place to make a confession of faith in Jesus Christ. They arose out of the concern of John Paul II who was tireless to wander The Earth to look for young people and faced them with his paternal love. As a result, these meetings have brightened young people’s faith for30 years. Neither documents nor decrees would guarantee such newness of faith, but only real and personal meeting a human and God. The subsequent popes ant the entire organization structure wants to show young people God and His way of acting in the world and human life.

Te article brings up the subject of contemporary interpretation of religious education in Italy. Searching for the definition of the term ‘religious education’ proves complexity of this issue. We can deliberate on wealthy life space created by such services as: teaching religion, catechesis, preaching the Gospel, the faith education. In the further stage, the article presents the view of the Roman Catholic Church in Italy; it analyses the contemporary reflection on academic level and official teaching by Italian bishops. Aſterwards there are directions of the development of thoughts presented, both in a theoretical and practical dimension. Te résumé shows that contemporary concern for religious education parallels to care for families, care for a community contemplating the faith, care for relevant preparation to sacramental Christian initiation as well as care for catechesis of adult people.
Artykuł porusza temat współczesnego ujęcia edukacji religijnej we Włoszech. Poszukiwania definicji terminu „edukacja religijna” wykazują złożoność tego zagadnienia. Można mówić o bogatej przestrzeni życia, którą tworzą takie posługi jak: nauczanie religii, katecheza, ewangelizacja, edukacja wiary. Artykuł podaje zarys obrazu Kościoła Katolickiego we Włoszech; dokonuje analizy współczesnej refleksji na poziomie akademickim i oficjalnego nauczania biskupów włoskich. Pokazane są kierunki rozwoju myśli, zarówno w wymiarze teoretycznym, jak i praktycznym. Współczesna troska o edukację religijną idzie równolegle w kierunku troski o rodzinę, troski o wspólnotę przeżywania wiary, troski o właściwe przygotowanie do sakramentów inicjacji chrześcijańskiej oraz troski o katechezę osób dorosłych.

Artykuł pokazuje katechezę jako narzędzie komunikowania wiary w obecnym kontekście społecznym. Wraz z Soborem Watykańskim II otwiera się nowy rozdział w dialogu Kościoła światem i jego osiągnięciami cywilizacyjnymi. Również nauki teologiczne powinny zabiegać o to, aby ten dialog współtworzyć. Kościół podejmując dzieło katechizacji, wychodzi z Dobrą Nowiną do różnych kręgów świata. Można uznać, że każde działanie katechetyczne, które prowadzi do poznania Boga i pogłębienia wiary jest aktem komunikacji. Korzysta ono z narzędzi, które dostarczają nauki pedagogiczne i związane z komunikacją społeczną. Stąd też proces komunikacji wydaje się być bardzo złożonym zjawiskiem i napotykać na wiele przeszkód. To właśnie katecheza troszczy się, aby proces komunikacji Boga z człowiekiem i człowieka z Bogiem był jak najbardziej owocny. Odpowiadając na wyzwania danej chwili, współczesna katecheza powinna szukać sposobów i możliwości oddziaływania na wiele zmysłów jednocześnie.
The article shows catechesis as a tool for faith communication in a contemporary social context. Along with Vatican Council II a new chapter in the Church’s dialogue with the world and its achievements of civilization begins. Theological sciences should also solicit for co-creating this dialogue. The Church, undertaking the work of catechesis, brings the Good News to different corners of the world. It can be acknowledged that every catechetical activity, which leads to knowing the God and deepening the faith, is a communication act. It uses the tools provided by pedagogical sciences and those related to social communication. Hence, the communication process seems to be very complex and comes across many obstacles. It is the catechesis that takes care of the fact that communication process between the God and the human and vice versa is the most fruitful. Responding to current challenges, contemporary catechesis should seek for the ways and possibilities of affecting many senses at the same time.
L’articolo mostra catechesi come strumento per comunicare la fede in attuale contesto sociale. Chiesa incaricandosi di catechesi, esce con il Vangelo a tutte le sfere del mondo. Si può dire che ogni azione catechetica che porta alla conoscenza di Dio e all’approfondimento di fede è un atto di comunicazione. Si utilizzano strumenti che sono forniti sia da didattica che da comunicazione sociale. Pertanto, il processo di comunicazione sembra essere fenomeno molto complesso che incontra molti ostacoli. È la catechesi che si occupa perché questo processo di comunicazione tra Dio e l’uomo e l’uomo e Dio sia stato più fruttuoso possibile. A rispondere alle sfide del tempo, la catechesi contemporanea dovrebbe cercare modi e possibilità per influenzare a molti sensi in una sola volta.

Adult catechesis should lead to deepening of their faith. This happens at the intellect level and the level of relationship (strong bond with God). The general goal is to get the answer to the question posed in the title: does a modern adult man need to be more careful about relationship or knowledge on the path of catechesis? Documents and theological reflection teach us: faith is the personal adherence of man to God. Thomas Aquinas said that faith is an act of intellect. To look for answers, it must be said that both these levels are equally important. Even more, both these realities must develop and grow in parallel. It is the only way for the proper and mature catechesis of adults.

Autor rozważając wspomagającą rolę środków społecznego przekazu w katechezie podkreśla, iż Kościół nie może nie korzystać ze współczesnych zdobyczy techniki. Człowiek wierzący ma obowiązek dzielenia się wiarą, a mass-media umożliwiają to składanie świadectwa na różnych płaszczyznach. Oprócz informacji, lub też tekstów źródłowych, właśnie w cyberprzestrzeni może dojść do pierwszego spotkania z wiarą i jej świadectwem. Jednocześnie osobowe spotkanie, nawrócenie, przylgniecie do Chrystusa, osobowa relacja wymaga już jednak wspólnoty rzeczywistej i osobowej. Artykuł wskazuje, iż Kościół - obecny żywo w świecie, biorący aktywny udział w przemianach społecznych i kulturowych, winien także wykorzystywać potężne narzędzie, jakim są środki społecznego przekazu, aby poprowadzić ludzi do wiary i zbawienia.
It should be stated that the church, which guides people to holiness and to salvation, is obliged to use the newest means of communication. Believers have duty to share their faith with others. Here a question arises: “What do I think about my relationship with God?”, or “What do others think about their faith? How do their experience it?” The reality created by the modern mass media (the Internet, television, newspapers, radio) may be perceived as a space of exchanging of various ideas. Cyberspace is a place where a human being, not only can find some information, but also can encounter with faith and the testimony of it. However, personal encounter, conversion, adherence to Christ, personal relationship require a real community of believers. This article is a sign of hope that the Church would be able to use mass media as the instrument of leading people to faith and to salvation.
L’autore in considerazione del ruolo di supporto dei mezzi di comunicazione nella catechesi sottolinea che la Chiesa non può che utilizzare moderne conquiste tecnologiche. Il credente ha l’obbligo di testimoniare la propria fede e mass media permetterglielo in vari livelli. Oltre a testi informativi o d’origine, è cyberspazio stesso dove può venire al primo incontro con la fede e la sua testimonianza. Allo stesso tempo, l’incontro personale, la conversione, l’adesione a Cristo, rapporto personale richiedono già comunità reale e personale. L’articolo sottolinea che la Chiesa – presente nel mondo, attivamente partecipante nelle trasformazioni sociali e culturali –, dovrebbe anche usufruire di strumenti potenti quali sono i mezzi di comunicazione sociale per condurre le persone alla fede e alla salvezza.

The analysis of the issue of school religion lessons, implemented in the distance learning system, allows for the formulation of the following conclusions. First, it should be remembered that the school religion class is part of catechesis. In Polish pastoral conditions, it can be said that it is even a valuable and important element of it. Secondly, while implementing remote teaching of religion lessons, the priority is still the goal and tasks of catechesis, which implement the care for mature faith. Thirdly, the teacher of religion (catechist) should be competent in the field of the latest information techniques, and at the same time should be faithful to the kerygma. Fourthly, a teacher of religion (catechist) should take care of independent preparation of classes, appropriate selection of content, cooperation with parents, as well as be systematic and consistent.

The article shows the lost paradigms of human nature. It is also a sign of concern for respect for human dignity. The source of reflection is the thought written in the latest catechetical documents and the teaching of the Second Vatican council. The aim of the article is to recall theoretical assumptions important in catechetical ministry and to research for practical guidelines for their implementation. This goal is done through three points. The first is a reference to the philosophical and theological foundations that determine human dignity. The next step is to consolidate catechetical paradigms that express concern for the right view of man and his dignity. The third element is research for specific actions to promote human dignity. All considerations are interdisciplinary. His main thoughts and conclusions are the space of theological sciences. However, the issue raised requires the correlation of theological content with philosophical premises.
