    The following article presents the literary theory of spatial genres, which emerged as a result of spatial turn. It discusses the concepts which link speech genres with a particular geographical location developed by Bakhtin, Szczukin, Moretti, Deguy and de Certeau. The aim of the article is to develop and reinforce the thesis which maintains that every genre has its own space and every space has its own genre. In order to prove the connection between geography and the morphology of a text the author analyzes the writings of Kenneth White, who in his geopoetic literary genetics searches for original genres to express, as he says, “poetic listening to nature”.

    Artykuł jest interpretacją powieści Jerzego Limona Koncert Wielkiej Niedźwiedzicy. Kantata na jedną ulicę, siedem gwiazd i dwa głosy, będącej przykładem literatury zwrotu topograficznego. Powieść opowiada historię ulicy w Sopocie, przy której mieszka autor-narrator. Powieść określam mianem geohistoriograficznej, gdyż autor przedstawia w niej przestrzeń miasta — konkret geograficzny — jako tekst-palimpsest, w którym, warstwa po warstwie, odczytuje przeszłość.
    This article provides an interpretation of the novel of Jerzy Limon Koncert Wielkiej Niedźwiedzicy. Kantata na jedną ulicę, siedem gwiazd i dwa głosy, which is an example of the literature of the topographical turn. This novel tells stories of one street in Sopot (Haffner street), where the author-narrator lives. This novel implements not only the assumptions of geo-poetics but may also be called geohistoriographic, since the author presents a geographic concrete, the space of a city as a conveyor of historic knowledge, for the geographic space is for Limon the text in which one may read the past. The subject matter of the novel is a street fulfilling just the function of a text, or actually text-palimpsest, which is composed with layers of meanings recorded by particular historic eras.

    The subject of the article is a mechanism of popularising historical knowledge, that is, a situation in which the past becomes the good while the receivers the „consumers of the history”. The subject of interpretation illustrating the problem are the novels Boski Juliusz (1961) and Nazo poeta (1969) by Jacek Bocheński. In the first text, the narrator‑antiquarian, in the second, the narrator‑master of ceremony, tell the ancient story, giving it an attractive form of antiquarian’s records and stage productions. In both cases, narration takes place in space which is commercial in nature that is why the products created in it, an antiquarian and master of ceremony narration, also become the market aim. Thus, narrators take on the function of trade intermediary offering customers the knowledge about the past. As intermediaries, they bring knowledge about historical facts within the history understood as a university discipline into the area of a colloquial historical awareness.
    Le sujet de l’article est le mécanisme de populariser le savoir historique, alors la situation où le passée devient le produit et les destinataires deviennent les « consommateurs de l’histoire ». L’objet de l’interprétationqui illustre le problème sont des romans de Jacek Bocheński Boski Juliusz (1961) et Nazo poeta (1969). Dans la première oeuvre le narrateur-antiquaire, dans la seconde le narrateur-animateur racontent une histoire antique dans une forme attrayante des notes de l’antiquaires et du spectacle. Dans les deux cas la narration se réalise dans l’espace qui a un caractère commercial, alors des produits y créés (narration d’antiquaire et celle d’animateur) deviennent, ils aussi, des objets du commerce. Les narrateurs acceptent alors la fonction des agents de commerce et offrent aux clients la connaissance du passé. Comme entremetteurs, ils transmettent le savoir sur les faits historiques de l’espace de l’histoire comprise comme une discipline universitaire à la sphère de la conscience historique ordinaire.

    Artykuł przedstawia ewolucję na przykładzie utworów Erwina Kruka Rondo, Kronika z Mazur i Spadek. Zapiski mazurskie 2007–2008 – przedstawia ewoluowanie postawy autobiograficznej pisarza, wyraźnie ujawniającej się po 1989 roku i wpisującej się w nurt tak zwanych ponownych autoprezentacji. Celem autorki jest też wskazanie zmian formalnych i artystycznych w sposobie wykorzystania tworzywa biograficznego.
    This article is based – on a reading of Erwin Kruk’s Rondo, Kronika z Mazur, Spadek. Zapiski mazurskie 2007–2008 (Roundabout: A Masurian chronicle; Legacy. Masurian notes, 2007–2008). It explores the evolution of the writer’s autobiographical attitude, which became particularly clear after 1989 and it inscribed itself in the trend of “re-self-presentations”. Another aim of this study is to illustrate the formal and artistic changes in the way of using autobiographical materials.

    W artykule omówiona została oryginalna koncepcję gatunków miejskich jako form tekstualizacji doświadczenia przestrzeni urbanistycznej, zaproponowana przez Katarzynę Szalewską w książce Urbanalia – miasto i jego teksty. Humanistyczne studia miejskie (Gdańsk 2017). Wprowadzona przez badaczkę kategoria „urbanaliów” służy opisaniu miejskiego pejzażu genologicznego, na który składają się zarówno wypowiedzi językowe, jak i pozawerbalne. Szalewska zredefiniowała gatunki mowy miejskiej, takie jak pasaż, anegdota, plotka, spacerownik, legenda miejska, faits divers, obrazek, fizjologia czy tableaux, uzupełniając tym samym literaturoznawczą propozycję metodologiczną w ramach studiów miejskich. Opisane przez nią formy artykulacji doświadczenia przestrzeni miejskiej mają zarówno charakter wysokoartystyczny, jak też folklorystyczny.
    The article discusses the idea of urban genres as forms of textualization of urban spaces, as proposed by Katarzyna Szalewska in her book Urbanalia — miasto i jego teksty: Humanistyczne studia miejskie (Gdańsk 2017). The proposed category of ‘urbanalia’ describes the urban genological landscape that comprises verbal and non-verbal utterances. Szalewska redefines such urban genres as passage, anecdote, spacerownik, urban legend, faits divers, picture, physiology, and tableaux, thus completing the urban studies with the literary methodology. In addition, the forms described by the author are characterized by high artistic and folkloristic qualities.

    Textualisation of places recovers memory of the territories which seem marginalized, excluded, places which belong to “the historically mute”. The article exemplifies the concepts of rescue history in cultural texts which originated in the region of Podlasie. One of them is Dana Łukasińska’s drama Antyhona, the story of a borderland Polish-Belarusian village in the years 1942–1947. Next is a performance Metoda Ustawień Narodowych directed by Michał Stankiewicz, narrating the 1946 pacification act against civil Orthodox Belarusian population. And finally, there is the example of Wierszalin, a geo-historical event, which is textualized in Włodzimierz Pawluczuk’s literary reportage Wierszalin. Reportaż o końcu świata, and in the Wierszalin Theatre performances directed by Piotr Tomaszuk. These works substantiate the thesis of the rescue function of regional literature.

    The subject of the article are ekphrases of photograps in the album Słowo historii. Fotoeseje (Białystok 2015). This album contains of thirty anonymous photos documenting the return of Poles from Russia after World War I. The photos were taken in unidentified places und unknown times.     The collected essays contain an analysis of numerous versions of cultural processing of the journey to India topos, showing multifaceted interrelations between different culture areas. The author compiled rich illustrative material: travel literature and reportage, feature films, infotainment films, forums and travel blogs as well as ethnographic interviews.
