    The article will deal with examining relation and quantification of transport service quality impact in road freight transport. First of all, we need to know what the quality exactly means and then we are able to define the quality in transport field. It is important to evaluate quality characters for future of organizations and also to know how to improve their services and products and have a stable position in the transport business. The impact of transport service quality on the performance of road freight transport is necessary to quantify a level of service quality but also define and objectively evaluate the performance of road freight transport with help of an appropriate set of performance indicators and methods. For examining relation and quantification of transport service quality impact in road freight transport it is necessary to apply an appropriate method. The article includes also practical application of the method.
    Článok bude pojednávať o skúmaní vzťahu a kvantifikácii vplyvu kvality dopravných služieb na cestnú nákladnú dopravu. Predovšetkým potrebujeme vedieť čo presne znamená “kvalita” a potom budeme schopní definovať kvalitu v oblasti dopravy. Je dôležité hodnotiť charakteristiky kvality pre budúcnosť organizácie a tiež vedieť ako zdokonaľovať ich služby a produkty, aby mali stabilnú pozíciu v oblasti dopravného trhu. Čo sa týka vplyvu kvality dopravných služieb na výkon cestnej nákladnej dopravy je nutné kvantifikovať úroveň kvality služieb, ale tiež definovať a objektívne ohodnotiť výkon cestnej nákladnej dopravy pomocou príslušnej sústavy ukazovateľov výkonu a metód. Pre skúmanie vzťahu a kvantifikácie vplyvu kvality dopravných služieb cestnej nákladnej dopravy je potrebné aplikovať vhodnú metódu. Článok tiež obsahuje praktickú aplikáciu metódy.

    Opis:
    Modal split between individual automobile transport and public passenger transport represents a ratio to 70:30 for individual transport. Long-term trend in Slovak republic is decrease in the number of passenger using public passenger transport. One of the possible determinants of passenger demand is service quality. Information is one of the important quality criteria. Information systems in passenger transport companies and information systems for passengers can improve service quality and stimulate passenger demand. In the one way operator should identify the requirements of passengers and in the other way these requirements should be filled with the maximum possible levels. Quality criteria information and punctuality are closely related. Punctuality is important for management of the transport operations and for passenger within the meaning of information about accuracy timetable. Implementation of information systems for passengers and respect for the latest trends can increase the quality of public passenger transport services in the Slovak republic. Raise of customer satisfaction should be the goal of each company, to ensure the sustainability of demand for public transport services.

    W artykule zajęto się problemem jakości usług, kwantyfikacji poziomu jakości i oceny jakości usług w towarowych przewoźników drogowych. Określenie wpływu jakości usługi transportowej na wydajność drogowego transportu towarowego jest niezbędne do wyznaczenia poziomu jakości świadczonych usług, ale również zdefiniowania i obiektywnej oceny wydajności drogowego transportu towarowego za pomocą odpowiedniego zestawu wskaźników i metod działania. Do badania relacji i kwantyfikacji wpływu jakości usługi transportowej w drogowym transporcie towarowym konieczne jest zastosowanie odpowiedniej metody. Artykuł ten zawiera również opis praktycznego użycia określonej metody.

    A hitherto unknown magnetic anomaly has been detected in the framework of assembling magnetic picture of the Slovakian territory. The impressive magnetic object was recognized in the northeasternmost part of Slovakia within the area which is created by sediments of the Flysch belt. This is certain rarity because the Flysch sequence is practically without magnetic rocks. Due to this was obvious that anomaly is caused by an exotic rocks complex, intruded into Flysch sediments. The shape and the character of anomalous body indicated that source of anomaly is located in the shallow depth under surface relatively. The anomaly has been modelled in the 2D. Source of magnetic anomaly was interpreted as the product of Neogene volcanism – neck of intermediate rocks. Besides of this there were found out other minor anomalies within this area which might be caused also by smaller subvolcanic bodies. The Carpathian Conductivity Anomaly is located in the proximity of new observed magnetic anomalies. Due to this fact it is possible to open new view on the importance of this zone. In the case of justification of such interpretation the area might be interesting for its potential prognosis of hydrocarbons occurrence, metallogenetic prominence, as well as possibilities for underground storage of carbon dioxide.

    Systematic geological mapping of the Slovak Republic territory over the last forty years, when many regional geological maps at 1:50 000 scale were issued, culminated in 2008 and 2009 in a new synthesis of the geological structure of the Western Carpathians on the Slovak territory in the form of a general geological map at 1:200 000 scale. An integral part of this activity was the solving of interregional correlation problems, a settled of tectonic classification of the Western Carpathians as well as a specification of the lithostratigraphical content of the tectonic units. The results of this synthesis are described in this contribution - a brief review of the principal geological units of the Western Carpathians that are depicted in the tectonic interpretation and in the geological sections. The Western Carpathians are geologically divided into the Outer (Flysch Belt) and Inner (Inner Carpathian Block). These two zones are products of the youngest, mainly Neogene Neo-Alpine tectonic activity. Separating the two zones is a tectonic structure - the Klippen Belt -which contains elements from both. The Inner Carpathian Block possesses a Palaeoalpine tectonic pattern composed of crustal tectonic units and superficial nappes. The crustal units are composed of the crystalline basement and its Upper Paleozoic and Mesozoic cover. The basement consists of fragments of Hercynian tectonic units from the Paleozoic phase of crustal evolution. The superficial nappes comprise mostly upper Paleozoic and Mesozoic sequences. Cenozoic deposits and volcanic rocks are deposited on the Palaeoalpine nappe structure.

    Opis:
    The major incidents such as terrorist attacks in Madrid, London or huge natural disasters (fires, floods etc.) showed that the factor that inhibits the full performance of emergency response is the lack of interoperability between communication systems of different responders over Europe. The SECRICOM project built a solution that seamlessly integrates the communication systems of different organizations located in different EU member states. The term "seamless" means that the communicating parties may use their own communication devices or can use new Secricom Silentel enabled devices over the SECRICOM infrastructure without worrying about what technology or communication system is used by other users. The provided solution offers high level of security in a cost efficient way since it reuses the existing communication infrastructures including public and dedicated ones (eg.: Tetra Radio, GSM, UMTS, Internet).
    Podczas poważniejszych sytuacji kryzysowych, jak ataki terrorystyczne w Madrycie czy Londynie, a także klęski żywiołowe (pożary, powodzie etc.), okazało się, że głównym czynnikiem ograniczającym wydajność reagowania służb ratunkowych jest brak interoperacyjności między różnymi systemami łączności. W ramach projektu SECRICOM zbudowano rozwiązanie, które umożliwia "bezszwową" integrację środków łączności wykorzystywanych przez różne służby ratunkowe (także działające w różnych krajach). Pod pojęciem "bezszwowa" jest rozumiana możliwość wykorzystywania przez służby ich własnego sprzętu komunikacyjnego (bądź urządzeń wyposażonych w SECRICOM Silentel) na podstawie infrastruktury SECRICOM bez konieczności brania pod uwagę typu sprzętu używanego przez inne podmioty. Zaproponowane w ramach projektu rozwiązanie zapewnia wysoki poziom bezpieczeństwa oraz efektywność kosztową wynikającą z wykorzystania obecnie istniejących rozwiązań telekomunikacyjnych (zarówno publicznych sieci, np. GSM, UMT, Internet, jak i dedykowanych rozwiązań, np. TETRA).
