    For several years film tourism has been perceived as a new trend in cultural tourism. Following this trend, this work aims to determine which forms of film tourism are currently developing in Kraków. Moreover, it wants to indicate the potential of the city to create a tourism product in this field. In the research, guidebooks, as well as film materials and internet sources, have been used. Moreover, the offer of Kraków travel agencies regarding organised guided tours based on film have been analysed, along with sources such as city council strategic documents and reports. The research has demonstrated that Kraków is a city with high tourist potential in those terms. It regards both film production (including its surrounding area) and organisation of film festivals. However, analysis of guidebooks and local travel agency offers has pointed to a low interest in film. The research presented in the article, due to its attempt at comprehensiveness and upto-dateness in the context of new ideas for the development of tourism products, constitutes a contribution to Polish literature on cultural tourism. In practical terms, it may become an inspiration for those who are responsible for creating tourism products based on Kraków’s film heritage.

    We współczesnym świecie rozwój technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych stanowi podstawę funkcjonowania nowoczesnego społeczeństwa i przenika niemal we wszystkie aspekty życia. Budowanie gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, a także zaawansowane technologie informatyczne sprzyjają rozwojowi e-usług, które dynamicznie rozwijają się w różnych obszarach działalności człowieka, m.in. w turystyce i w kulturze. W niniejszym artykule przestawiono wyniki badań dotyczące poziomu dostępności wybranych e-usług w krakowskich muzeach, gdzie kultura w sposób wyjątkowy łączy się z turystyką. Badania przeprowadzono w oparciu o informacje i dostępnę e-usługi z poziomu oficjalnych stron internetowych krakowskich muzeów. Stwierdzono, że najczęstszą z oferowanych e-usług jest możliwość zakupu biletu on-line, która dostępna jest w 25,0% badanych placówek. Porównywalny wynik (23,7%) dotyczy także e-usługi polegającej na prezentowaniu zbiorów muzealnych on-line. Biorąc pod uwagę popularność Krakowa i jego oferty na światowym rynku turystyki należy się spodziewać, że w najbliższych latach poziom dostępu różnych e-usług będzie systematycznie się powiększał.
    In the modern world, the development of information and communication technologies is the basis for the functioning of modern society and infiltrates almost all aspects of our life. Building a knowledge-based economy as well as advanced information technologies are conducive to the development of e-services, which are dynamically developing in various areas of human activity, including tourism and culture. This article presents the results of research on the level of accessibility of selected e-services in Krakow’s museums, where culture in a unique way combines with tourism. The research was conducted based on information and available e-services offered by the official websites of Krakow museums. It was found that the most frequently offered e-service was the possibility of purchasing an on-line ticket, available in 25.0% of the surveyed facilities. A comparable result (23.7%) applies to the e-service of presenting museum collections on-line. Taking into consideration the popularity of Krakow and its offers on the global tourism market, it should be expected that in the coming years the level of the access to various e-services will systematically increase.

    Opis:
    Aberrant expression of sialic acids or altered linkage types is closely associated with malignant phenotype and metastatic potential, and can have prognostic significance in human cancer. The present study was undertaken to evaluate whether expression of sialylated derivatives on melanoma cell surface is associated with tumour progression. Four cell lines (WM1552C, WM115, IGR-39 and WM266-4) were used in the study. Cell surface expression of sialic acids was evaluated by flow cytometry with the use of Maackia amurensis and Sambucus nigra lectins. Moreover, adhesion and migration potential of melanoma cells and involvement of sialic acids in these processes were analysed. We have demonstrated that WM266-4 cells have a significantly higher level of α2,3-linked sialic acid residues than other cells, whereas IGR-39 cells had lower expression of α2,6-linked sialic acids. The adhesion efficiencies of WM1552C and WM115 cells were significantly lower than that of IGR-39 and WM266-4 cells. In contrast, WM266-4 cells repaired scratch wounds at least twice as fast as other cells. Melanoma cell adhesion to fibronectin in the presence of Sambucus nigra agglutinin (SNA) was reduced only in IGR-39 and WM266-4 cells, whereas the impact of Maackia amurensis agglutinin (MAA) on this process was much more important. Migration efficiency of melanoma cells was reduced more strongly in the presence of MAA than SNA. In conclusion, our results show that melanoma progression is associated with the increased expression of α2,3-linked sialic acids on the cell surface and these residues could promote melanoma cell interaction with fibronectin.

W Krakowie, jednym z najlepiej turystycznie rozwijających się miast europejskich, gdzie występuje nasilona konkurencja, hotele nie poprzestają na ofercie podstawowej, ale poszukują możliwości wyróżnienia się poprzez dodatkową usługę turystyczną, stwarzając nowe propozycje spędzania wolnego czasu. Jedną z nich, zgodną z ogólnoświatowym trendem dążenia do poprawy zdrowia, oferowaną przez krakowskie obiekty noclegowe, jest umożliwienie korzystania z zabiegów spa i wellness. Hotele oferujące tego typu usługi zwiększają obłożenie i szansę wyróżnienia się z bogatej infrastruktury turystycznej Krakowa. Celem opracowania jest diagnoza liczby krakowskich hoteli oferujących usługi spa i wellness na terenie miasta Krakowa w wybranych hotelach. Opracowanie ukazuje kształtowanie się „przemysłu zdrowotnego”, a także dalsze możliwości rozwoju rynku krakowskiego hotelarstwa związanego z tymi usługami.
    Promoting a healthy lifestyle, increasing health awareness and an aging society caused changes in the tourism services market. Each year new hotels appear offering beauty treatments and services improving well-being. In Krakow, one of the best developing European cities in terms of tourism, where there is intense competition, hotels do not stop at the basic offers, but look for opportunities to stand out through additional tourist services, creating new proposals for spending free time. One of them, consistent with the global trend of improving health, offered by Krakow hotels, is to provide Spa & Wellness treatments. Hotels offering this type of services increase their occupancy rate and the chance to stand out among the rich tourist infrastructure of Krakow. The aim of the study is to diagnose the number of hotels offering Spa & Wellness amenities in selected hotels in Krakow. The study shows the shaping of the “health industry”, as well as further opportunities for the Krakow hospitality market associated with these services to develop.
